Quilling Art is a beautiful and colourful book showcasing paper craft at it's finest.

Quilling or paper filigree is an art form that involves the use of strips of paper that are rolled, shaped, and glued together to create decorative designs

Sena Runa demonstrates her craft perfectly, and with step by step easy to follow pictures you to can achieve amazing results.

The projects are simply stunning,  Snowflakes, hearts and even a mermaid are created by the simple technique of paper folding.

Quilling Art can be used as decorations for cards, pictures and even jewellery can be made, the results and possibilities are endless.

Each project gives a list of tools what I loved most about Quilling Art is the colour, these projects just pop.

Every one can do this craft, all it takes is a little patience and a lot of practice.

This was a good illustrated guide to quilling. I'm not sure if I am ready to tackle these yet, and if I did, not sure how may I would actually do. I really liked the cloud, but many of the others were not for me. That being said, I do think this is a good book for someone looking into quilling and trying out different techniques that are fun and different. Maybe this book didn't quite capture me because a number of the projects involved drawing on paper in a way that made the end products look more amateur than they should have. Like the mermaid. I have seen a mermaid done entirely with quilling which, I will admit, is not easy to accomplish. But having most of the mermaid drawn wasn't quite what I would have expected from a quilling book. I get that it showed how things could be merged, but ....

I had no idea that this was a type of craft until I worked at the library and saw it at a co-worker's desk. Impressed with it's 3D-ness and use of colours, I wanted to find out how to do it.

Inside are outlines, tools required as well as techniques to follow.

Contained are flowers, tea cup, sun, cloud and many more. Not many tools are required besides the paper, if cost is an issue. I have seen framed pieces sell in home outlet stores for $75-$100 a piece.

Perfect for schools, libraries, gifts, parties and/or showers.

The book pictures are quite colourful and bright. I would love to see what darker or deeper colours would create.

A must for my personal library.

Highly recommended!

I recently decided to take up another hobby-- quilling. So i purchased the kit and got all the tools for an amateur. The next step was ideas. Thankfully there are many resources out there like this book. This book promotes creative ideas on how I can transform basic quilling techniques to impressive pictures, cards and decoration. I was motivated by the amount of works that can be done with quilling techniques and learned how I can make my art more presentable. Recommended to quilling rookies (like me)

Great explanation of the basics before step-by-step walkthrough of intricate designs, using the same foundational techniques. All of the designs use the same outline technique (i.e., white cardstock border filled in with quill techniques for dimension) and I would've appreciated some variety. It's helpful to have the traceable outlines in the back of the book, even if the technique is a bit one-note.
