4.5 Stars - Series Video Review: https://youtu.be/WIhk4Z0TUFw

The Yellow Hoods is a series that just gets better and better with each book. This fifth book might be my personal favourite! Each book builds on the previous storylines, adding layers of backstory, world building and character growth.

As the title suggests, The Day the Sky Fell is packed with action! By this point, the Yellow Hoods has become a fully realized steampunk series, filled with fantastical steam-powered technology and exciting rebellion actio

I’m so excited to be reviewing this book and to be able to say that The Day The Sky Fell was a fantastic ending to a wonderful series! I’ve noticed that what happens with most long series is that they start to fall apart around the third or fourth book. This didn’t happen with the Yellow Hoods, instead, it benefitted from having a lot of books. There are quite a few characters in this series and I love that Adam took time to really develop each of them. Every single character has grown drastical ...more

Happy book birthday, Adam!

I cried at the ending part you warned me I would cry at. I cannot believe - that was so painful.

I loved this series so much. Tee, Elly, and Richy will always have a special place in my heart.

I said this to you and you found it important (so did I) so I'll say it here to for people reading my review:

I hate girl characters most of the time. They're annoying, needy, or written to be "strong female characters" to the point where you can tell that's the only reason they

Wow, don't forget to read 1-4. This is book 5 in a fantastic series. A shepherd is with his flock when he notices a couple Skyfallers heading toward his town. He races to tell the people to get out but is too late and the town is destroyed—then a cloud moves in the sky and destroys the Skyfallers. Is it a miracle? We have our best friends Tee and Elly back—still young, still doing incredible acts. The Tubs are gone (?) the Fare is gone (?) and Klaus has not been rescued. Who is Elizabeth really ...more

The Yellow Hoods - Books 1-5

This clever mix of fairytales and steampunk is a wonderful and original, fast-paced series. Delightful for young(ish) readers and adults, albeit on different levels.

I spent the best part of two weeks in the company of Tee, her friends and family, and their rivals, and enjoyed every minute of it.

The plot and the sub-plots weave back and forth seamlessly, making an entertaining and riveting read that’s hard to put down. (How the author kept ever

That was fantastic. And to read at the end that the author listened to Sabaton while writing it? Perfection.

This is it. The last of the series. Do Tee and her brave friends triumph against the Lady in Red, the Piemans, the Fare, and all the other foes arrayed against them? Can a group of teenagers best experts in intrigue?
Of course I'm not going to tell you. Read the book and find out. The Day the Sky Fell had the fastest plot of the whole pentalogy, I really couldn't put it down. I still wanted a flowchart for all the character relationships, but at least there weren't any new ones added. Again, some vi

Not kindle unlimited, got the trilogy {plus} set by whining at the writer that he wasn't on ku, sometimes that works, but only bother to do it if really want to read the book{s}. It worked for #4 and #5 too.

Do you remember any of the fairy tales or nursery rhymes you heard when you were little? How about Rub-a-dub-dub, Simple Simon, Chicken Little, Humpty Dumpty, or Santa Clause, Hansel and Gretel, Little Red Riding Hood, The Three Little Pigs, Rumpelstiltskin, Beauty and the Beast,

After reading the first four books of this series, I had to dive right out and buy the 5th and final book. I couldn’t wait to see what happened next, and I wasn’t disappointed.

The Day the Sky Fell keeps you on the edge of your seat, rapidly turning pages until the very end.

Chikahn Liddel was nothing more than a simple shepherd. However, one fateful day, he saw a Skyfaller destroy his entire village. When a cloud miraculously destroyed the large airship, he became an impor

In 2014, I stopped my "hopefully one day" dream of becoming an author, stopped doing nothing with my writing, and kicked off my indie author life. Twenty-five years of doing nothing with my writing was enough, and after two medical events, I was filled with drive to change my life.

I've written the much loved young adult series, The Yellow Hoods, a world where steampunk and fairy tale meet.
