How could you not love these two? They are amazing. I already knew them from the books before but hearing their story makes them an even more awesome couple in this series. I love Lily Atlas's writing and this series is one of my favorites. The characters are like a big family you can associate with. The men are like your order brothers friends you had a secret crush on and thought were so sexy and the women are the lucky girls who got to have them. This is a must read. Hook was a No Prisoners MC prequel novella. We were introduced to Marcie and Hook in book one, Striker, and we now have their back story.

Hook and Striker were best friends in childhood. Five years older than Marcie, they were her protectors in her troubled world. Fast forward 10 years and Marcie returned to her hometown for her mother's funeral. She crossed paths with the No Prisoner's MC and sparks burned between Hook and Marcie. She was an adult and no longer off limits.

Prequel to the No Prisoners MC series. I liked this quite a bit. Hook was delicious.
Let's start off by saying that this is a new author for us and we really enjoyed out first read by her.Three friends after so many years apart reunited but not under ideal circumstances but , are Happy moments never less and an opportunity for second chances.

An enjoyable romance filled with love, romance, healing, putting old ghosts to rest with a few surprises in the mix.We loved almost all the characters except the ex boyfriend what an a**. One of the things I loved about them the most were their

Disappointing novella that added nothing to the series and had no depth. Hook and Marcie grew up in the same town and had what seems to be a luke warm friendship. Marcie was much closer to Striker, although she looked at him like a brother and thought Hook was attractive. Hook and Marcie haven't seen each other in 10 years and during that time they don't appear to have been hung up at all on each other, more like "out of sight, out of mind". In fact when Marcie comes home to handle her mother's ...more

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book

This was my first book by this author and I have to say I enjoyed it.

Marcie is back home to get her mother's affairs in order. Her mother died and the last thing she wanted to do was be there taking care of this when her mother was never there for her.
But she is here, and with her "boyfriend" who she was on the verge of dumping and who is acting like he is a frat boy inviting his friends with as a road trip to her mother's funeral and not even being ther

I didn't realise that this was a novella until I started, having not read any of the others in the series didn't detracted from the story, because I liked the blurb and it made me want to read the series now.

Marcie is returning to her home town for the first time in ten years when she bumps into her childhood friends, only now they've grown into men and are now bikers.

Hook was always Marcie's favourite her crush, but back then she was too young, now she's grown and matured into a independent wom

Hook (TJ) was the guy with the sexy accent and great body. Marcie was only in town to bury her mother. She was determined to do things for herself even take care of an annoying mean spirited, crazy ex.

I was so glad that I read the other books (Stryker, Jester, and Acer) from the series. I was sadened by the poor editing in this one and the need to reread sentences and auto correct. I still enjoyed it.
Having read this authors Hell’s Handler’s series, I thought I would give Hook ago, this is a novella (so I’m rating for this book being a short story). Overall the characters were interesting with a good story and ending. I’m hoping this short novella will be a good start to another fabulous series as I really enjoyed the Hell’s Handler’s. Straight onto the first book now Striker.
Short story with likable characters and a second chance romance. Not my favorite of the series but a decent read. I suggest waiting for the price to drop some if you're following the series.

I absolutely loved Hook & Marcie's story, what a truly beautiful and amazing 5 star story it was, that had all the drama & suspense that made for an interesting Journey and loved that it was done in a duel pov. Again an absolute super high level storyline and characters and sexy, badass story that I highly recommend as a must read, along with all the other stories in the No Prisoners MC series. <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Hook is the first book in the No Prisoners MC series. This book is a novella that sets off the series at a delightful beginning. Hook is Australian, and his family moved to town and got involved in drugs. But Hook and his best friend Striker and the girl they watched out for grew up together and looked out for each other. But once Hook and Striker turned 18, they became prospects for the local MC “No Prisoners” and they found the family they never had growing up. Marcie grew up with Striker and ...more

4 Stars!

This is a quick, easy read with a little angst and action and plenty of sweet and sexy.

What I Loved: the writing was well done and while this wasn't a gritty MC story, it was very enjoyable. Being a prequel, I felt like I wasn't missing anything since I've only read book 3 of the series previous to this one. It definitely has me wanting to read the first 2 books in the series now that I've been introduced to the great characters that are part of the series.

I loved Hook, he was sweet a

This is a novella so it is a quick read but it is absolutely fantastic! In the release Striker we met Marcie and Hook. This is all of these characters back story per say and allows you to look further into the events that take or took place between these characters.

Childhood friends and inseparable Hook and Striker vowed to protect Marcie. Older than her and seeing her further from grand life made these boys form a boundary aroun

I love a good juicy read about guys in an MC or Motorcycle Club. This was a novella and is a great introduction to a new MC world. Although this book I would consider lighter on the MC details and heavier on the relationships. Novellas are generally not my favorite especially when it is the first book I read introducing a new series. I enjoy them as a bonus to previous books but I generally don't jump to read a regular novella. Well, this was a great intro for me to Lilly Atlas and her MC world. ...more

Y'all I am loving reading all these new MC authors whom I will be meeting in a few short weeks! I have been introduced to so many new worlds and I am stoked to be able to complete all these new series!

The problem I always have with novellas is that I feel like I don't get a fully fleshed out story. However, Lilly knocked this one out of the park, and I truly felt like I got to know each of the characters and their histories. Childhood friends to lovers is one of my all time favorite tropes becau

MC books are one of my all-time favourites, and I am always on the lookout for new authors, so I was giddy when I had the chance to read Hook. With high expectations for a gritty MC book, but no knowledge of this authors writing style, I wasn’t sure what to expect; what I got was downright fantastic. I love love loved Hook, he was a pure hot alpha make in leather, and Marcie was a kickass heroine.

This book was the 4th in the series, but was easily read as a standalone; after enjoying t
Marcie had a horrible childhood, and a lonely adulthood. The only bright spots were her friends and protectors, Hook and Striker. When she comes home to the small town she fled years ago to bury her estranged mother she runs into them, and old feelings are rekindled. While Striker is her brother in everything in blood, her feelings for Hook are very different, and complicated.

Marcie is hiding. From herself. From life. She is trying to protect herself by relying on no one. She thinks she is bein

Quick, fast paced read. Marcie is back in her small home town to bury her mother...with a douchey boyfriend and a couple of his friends in tow. Too late, Marcie decides that she's had enough of the boyfriend, who is rapidly becoming abusive, and wants to break things off...but she decides to wait until they return to Seattle. She meets childhood friends, turned MC members, Stryker (Dillon) and Hook (TJ) at a bar and the bf gets jealous and possessive. Stryker and Hook were Marcie's protectors wh ...more
This novella I'm reading after reading all the other books where Hook and Marcie are already married. It's the story of how they came together.

Hook, Striker and Marcie knew each other from childhood, the men were 5 years older. Marcie always had a crush on Hook (back then Hook was T.J. and Striker was Dylan) and he had feelings for her too which he hid because she was too young. Marcies mom moved her away when she was 16 but eventually her mom returned to Arizona. Marcie's in town for her mother
No Prisoners MC is the newest MC series I have found. It is by Lilly Atlas and set in Arizona. One of the books was named Hook after the main character.

Marcie has always had a thing for Hook. She knew that he was not the right person for her. She left and made a life away, until her Mom died and then things became much more complicated. She returned to bury her mother and reconnected with Hook and Jester. She ends up needing them to help her out of a difficult situation and she realizes she shou

I read this a bit out of order but that's okay, I still really enjoyed it.

This is Hook and Marcie's story and while it was only a novella it was full of a great story. I loved that this was something of a second-chance romance. Marcie grew up with Hook and his best friend, Stryker (her self-appointed brother). Coming back to town to bury her mother she never expected to be there long enough to run into the grown-up version of the boy she once loved. When she did she soon found that the sparks we

Hook and Marcie's beginning

So it was way cool to see how Marcie and Hook started since from the first book (Stryker)they were the model couple. What I didn't like was how stupid Marcie was in this book!! I am women hear me roar, I don't need a man for anything! I'm mis - independent bull$h!t! Now I am all about being strong and independent but she took it to crazytown! Finally she realizes equal partners in a relationship does not make you weak! Other than her being stupid the whole book until t

This is a short prequel to the series. This is Hook and Marcie's story. They grew up together. These two and Stryker were the best of friends. The guys were her protectors. She is 5 years younger than they are. But it's been 10 years since she has seen, or talked to them. Being back in town because her mom died, puts her back in their lifes. Hook has always wanted her, but back then, the age gap was too much. It isn't now though, and it's game on. Only one problem is that Marcie's ex is a comple ...more

I am so happy about this book, we finally find out how Hook and Marcie ended up together. We met these two during the other books.

I loved Hook, he is a big teddy bear at heart. He is fiercely protective, but will also allow someone to spread their wings. He is a fierce fighter and member of MC.

I loved Marcie, she is very independent but also scared to lose that. She may of had a bad childhood, but that won't bring her down. Her past will stay in the past.

I really enjoyed this book, and was sad w

Hook takes place before any of the other books in the No Prisoners series. This is Marcie and Hook's story. They are married later in the series, so this is the story of how they got together. I liked that they had a history, however, the story was too short for me. I needed more of their interaction from their teen years to fully buy into the speed at which the "I Love Yous" come. The story line with the ex-boyfriend drove me crazy. Marcie as a bit TSTL regarding him. Anyway, it's not a bad add ...more

Lots of potential

LOVE No Prisoner's series. This book, while good, merely came across as the BEGINNING of a TRULY excellent novel. Too short & sweet. It's rare that I leave a negative review, but in this case, it's a go back AND TRULY finish this book Lily Atlas! You have what amounts to a few honest chapters here that showcase an awesome outline. So for that, plus because I own & love all your books, 4 stars instead of 3 ;)
