descriptionThis cover is alright. It isn't really a great representation on the story within and It's a little on the boring side. The typography is interesting but the composition feels off with the placement of the text.description

description Meh...I did not love this one as much as the first book in this series. I found it eye-rolling that Beth would keep it a secret that Cord was her brother for 80% of the book. Then again I am not crazy about the whole "my sibling has a say in whom I date" trope. Or, the ridiculous "bro
This story should have been called My Sexy, Sexy, Secret Ranger.

Brick Mitchum has earned his nickname “Romeo” for a reason, he loves women… for a single night. With love in the air at the At-Ease ranch and after meeting Beth, Brick has been having second thoughts about relationships. Especially since this sweet and sexy buxom woman has been occupying more and more of his thoughts and heart.

When even organizer Beth Brannigan went to help with her best friend’s wedding, she never thou

So I only recently read In A Rangers Arms and I was intrigued by these men from At Ease ranch, so when I saw the opportunity to read Her Secret Ranger I jumped all over it.

I wasn’t sure who’s sister Beth was so I was a little unsure of how the story was going to go since each of the men had their own individual personalities and backstories so I was a little scared that there was going to be a lot more drama than just the usual don’t date my baby sister decree. Brick I knew was a one and done,

So hot and really good!
This book reminded me so much of another series that is similar yet slightly different too. I love reading about military men and this one is a great addition to this series of these hot, yet wary men.

This story is told mainly from Beth's POV but we also get the guys insight too. The author adds fuel to the flame in a quick manner and the pages are lit up with hot action and drool worthy descriptions that capture your attention. This book was difficult

This was an okay read for me.
I thought there was a lot going on in this book (maybe a little bit too much), and then finally everything comes out in the open in the last 10% of the book.
I thought the ending was rushed.

I did like the storyline, and the characters.

I will continue on with this series because I think it has a lot of potential (and I want to read Cord's book)

Can we say sexy, sassy and OH SO MUCH FUN! Donna Michaels knows how to write a LOL romance with characters that have you falling in love! I was DYING for Brick's book after reading IN A RANGER'S ARMS, and boy, HER SECRET RANGER does NOT disappoint!

Donna takes this one up a notch with the sexy, and I have to say, I was HANGING on every touch, every kiss, every....romp...oh my! Brick and Beth made me want to take a cold shower but in ALL the right kind of ways!

I loved this! A great feel good romance with just enough drama not to be sappy.

When Beth, an event planner, had to travel back to her hometown for her friends wedding, she decides to throw caution to the wind and has a weekend affair with a handsome cowboy. No strings attached.

When she and her friend grab lunch at to county fair and runs into her brother, Cord, and is reminded why she doesn't do that ever. Because he is supremely overprotective and am ex Ranger. But he friend had picked up on

A cute romance and a great addition to The Men Of At Ease Ranch series.
In this book we have Beth who is an event planner, who is usually straitlaced. When she comes back to her hometown for a wedding, she has a hot, steamy fling with a cowboy.Just when she is putting it behind her, her friend dares her to kiss a guy, and surprise surprise-it's her guy-Brick.
They pick up where they left off and hot days turn to sultrier nights. But, just when they start to get closer she finds out that he is her br

In need of something to read that would spike up body temperature? You might want to consider Her Secret Ranger. The heat-o-meter is certainly hot on this one! Now, I don't generally read steamy book (most likely skimming the heated steamy moments) but even I couldn't pooh-pooh at the heap of sexy times - and believe me when I say plenty, I mean: PLENTY - on the pages. Credit to the author, whose engaging writing made the experience enjoyable for me!

I am so pleased I have found Donna Michaels' books into my life because they are just like little rays of sunshine. The stories are riddled with delightful humor that makes me smile, there's adorable tender sweetness that makes me sigh, love stories that are easy to believe, passion that scorches the pages bringing heat and spice to the tales, and there are friends, brothers, families with tight bonds, loyalty, and protectiveness that you can't help but admire.

The Men of At Ease Ranch are hot sexy and all that good girl or even a bad girl could desire. These men each have something different to fall in love with and dream about each and every night. There’s an edge of danger and action. All of it was not coming from the opposing side of things. This was a good read that held me from beginning to end. Beth loves her brother but getting involved with one of his army friends would not make him happy. But she was tempted or dared which ever you like to sa ...more

We knew in In a Ranger’s Arms that Stone’s brother, Brick, had hooked up with someone but we know who. In Her Secret Ranger, we get to meet Beth. In a really imaginative scene, Brick and Beth are reunited weeks after their original hot weekend. What we, and Beth, don’t yet know is that Beth’s brother will not be happy with her choice.

Brick and Beth are both so likeable. Their interaction is fun to watch. While the two know they have chemistry, they soon realize it’s more than great sex. They rea
This is the first book that I have read from this author. This was a brother’s best friend/secret romance book between Beth and her brother’s best friend Brick. It was an ok story. Brick and Beth start a taboo relationship because they knew that her brother would not be happy about it. Sometimes you can’t stop it from happening when people are attracted to each other. They did keep it hidden for a good part of the book and that is why the book was ok for me. I am all for taboo relationships but ...more

This second installment in The Men of At Ease Ranch was awesome! Along with excellent writing and intriguing characters, there is a great story that will keep you turning the pages. The usually straight laced Beth Brannigan decides just this once to let loose and have a little fun with the very sexy Brick Mitchum. Never expecting to see him again she's surprised when she runs into him when she returns to her hometown to handle a short term project. Beth is excited to be back and wants to see her ...more

★★½ I liked the writing and the flow of the story, but I would hit my brothers really really hard if they would interfere in my love life like that and I'm sorry if the my boyfriend thinks some stupid bro code is more important than me, bye bye. Between those two men and Beth who was to soft for me, I just couldn't enjoy the story.

Extremely average.
*Main character is duplicitous and weak, neither characteristic do I want to read about in a romance
*Neither romantic nor sexy
*While the writing itself it good, there isn't much story; more sex scenes that read like deja vu
*Story hinges on the "taboo" of woman with brother's friend; you have to believe that that's a "taboo" to accept it as a deterrent
Standalone small town cowboy romance / a brother’s best friend and sister romance that is the perfect escapism book!

After reading In a Ranger’s Arms I was eager to read the next book in this series and Her Secret Ranger did not disappoint. Mixing a one night stand - turned more - turned best friend’s sister with a twist, this book was just as fun, flirty, and sexy as the previous book that makes it one of those great escapism books. I don’t want to say too much to avoid spoiling the plot but if

A former military team turned cowboys to help other veterans reintegrate back into society. They transform a family farm into barracks for men and women to come to after leaving the military, to find themselves and work through any issues they may have.

The farm actually belongs to Brick and his brother, Stone. They take the other team members on as equal partners to help with the construction and therapies offered. The farm is free to veterans. Brick and his friends own and run a construction c
Two and a half stars. I'm afraid this novel tried to be too many things to please too many people and ended up being an unholy mish-mash that, in my opinion, lost its identity.

Elizabeth Brannigan is an assistant events planner whose boss is a control freak who takes credit for all her work and blames her when things go wrong. Her older brother Cord and his former Ranger buddies run some kind of veterans refuge slash ranch called At-Ease in the small town of Joyful. They also have a construction

When Brick and Beth starts a relationship Brick don't know that Beth is his best friends sister and Beth don't know that her brother is Brick's friend. There's a code and they both know about it........what happens when the truth comes out, because it is bound to come out at some point, isn't it?

ARC Review: Her Secret Ranger (Men of At Ease Ranch) by Donna Michaels

Ms. Michaels' can brighten up any day with her enchanting characters and heartwarming stories. If laughter is the best medicine, Her Secret Ranger is the perfect remedy to chase away the blues. The second instalment of Donna Michael’s “The Men of At Ease Ranch” continues the saga of a group of returned service men, with fractured souls, hearts as big as Texas and a determination to help others like themselves with demons on their shoulders and bitter memories of war torn countries.

Brick Mitchell earned the name “Romeo” through his ‘love `em once and leave `em’ policy, and has never apologised for his ways. But when the woman who claims his lips on a random dare turns out to be his week

Military men seem to have a code for everything. Most are easily understood but when it's not allowed to date a buddy's sister that is a hard one to follow. A quick weekend hookup should have been forgotten but something happened when Brick and Beth accidentally meet again, fireworks galore. While the ending is predictable the adventure there is fun, sexy and a little crazy. Each of the men at the ranch have a story to be told but these could be read independently, except the characters reappear ...more

Her Secret Ranger by Donna Michaels is Book 2 of The Men of At Ease Ranch Series. While this story is part of a series, it can be read as a standalone.

Hawt dayum this book is absolutely scrumptious! Cowboys/rangers and a best friend’s sister troupe make this perfect combo of a read. The connection between Brick and Beth is sizzling hot and will suck you in from page one. Nicely done Ms. Michaels.

Brick is part owner of the ranch/construction co that employs former military to help them acclimate to a civilian life. Beth is an event planner in town for her best friend's wedding. She and Brick meet at a bar and get it one. This opens with them meeting for a second time unexpectedly.
I'm not too crazy about the "I can't date you because my best friend is your brother!" trope. What two adults do is their business and that's it. I did like how Beth stood up to her brother. Finally.

This is the second story in the At-Ease ranch series, and although it is book number two, it can be read as a standalone. I have not read the first book (yet), but that did not change my enjoyment of this at all. Some minor plotlines from the first book were spoiled, but again, not enough to make me regret reading them out of order.

Brick and Beth are two incredibly likable characters. Even though Beth keeps her true identity a secret from Brick, she does it for reasons that make sense to her at
