“The scene was surreal. A large vessel had planted itself firmly along the side of the Orion. Neither vessel was moving. It’s as though they’ve been fused together on contact.”

The ocean waters have risen, leaving very little livable land on Earth and only one source of oil out in the oceans. Ben Adams works out on the rig doing a few weeks at dive duty clearing the underwater equipment. His shift ends and during the days it takes to rise to the surface, a hurricane hits and destroys the

This is the second book in The Rising Tide Series. I did not like the first one, Rising Tide, very much, but this one was much better. It had flow and more action. It also had some cool creatures. It definitely is a unique story and I liked how it was tied to the bible. I enjoyed looking for the connections and I'm sure I missed some of them.

I liked this book more than I liked the first book in this series. There was definitely more action in this installment that kept me on my toes.

Allegorical Fantasy at its finest, Lynn Steigleder brings us even more intensity this time around in Book 2 of The Rising Tide series. Book 2, Eden's Wake, bring back familiar characters like Ben and Eve as well as introduces us to new characters like Pete (who was mentioned in the book 1). This series is a must read for those who love good allegorical fantasy series by authors like Tolkien, CS Lewis, and Ted Dekker. The aforementioned Ted Dekker and his fantasy books are probably the closest ...more

I took some time to read the other reviews, and let me tell you this is much more than "a real page turner"!!! This author truly has a grip on the imagination. I read Rising Tide which begins with these characters. I really couldn't anticipate the ending until the LAST page. Now, that is what I call exciting. Eden's Wake is a continuation and development of these same characters. Now I want a third book to see what happens. Isn't that the mark of a good book when you go back to the computer to ...more

A real page turner. It kept me guessing and wanting more. Would recommend this book. I felt as if I could relate to the characters and their struggles with the unknown.
