Compelling Science Fiction is a magazine full of stories that are entertaining, inspiring, and extremely well thought out. Our stories tend to lean toward what is referred to as 'hard' science fiction, in the sense that we prefer stories that are self-consistent, scientifically plausible, and technically detailed when necessary. This issue of Compelling Science Fiction contains five excellent stories:
1. "Tav", a complex near-future story about an augmented reality company, and about how a man reacts to a secret entrusted to him by his long-time friend and business partner. This knowledge becomes a test of his very sense of self (9250 words).
2. "Skychildren", a story about a secret commune in the asteroid belt full of illegally genetically engineered humans (5677 words).
3. "X&Y", a social story about how society copes when a madman creates a virus that targets women (5930 words).
4. "Entangled," a space story about quantum entanglement and sending information through time (5800 words).
5. "White Dust," a reprint (previously published in Asimov's Science Fiction magazine) exploring the concept of self when humans can be easily copied and sent over large distances (5800 words).
