I always like to start off by reviewing the book itself and the cover. So in that regard: I like the thought of the cover but I don't think it was the best cover for this book. The cover does give the reader a picture of what Lylah, the main character looks like, but if it had been at a bookstore, I would not have picked it up based solely on the cover. Though, we know we shouldn't judge a book by its cover, most of u
I am one of the dissenters on this book, one of the few, if not only, who disliked it. And I really hate saying I disliked a book I read because I know how much blood, sweat, and tears authors put into their works. So I do truly feel horrible when I don't like something. /sigh But, I have to be honest, too. I didn't write this review during the tour because I didn't want to detract from the author's promotion period.

I was intrigued and ready to read this book because of the synopsis. Past lives

His wavy light brown hair with light blonde highlights was just the right length, and I unexplainably wanted to run my fingers through it. Snap out of it! Say hello dummy. “Call me Lylah, hi nice to meet you too,” I said stretching out my hand to meet his, frozen in place, mesmerized with his beautiful blue eyes. I felt I could see straight through to his soul. His face was so strong and at the same time so tender, I felt lost in his expression. Holding my gaze and my hand longe

This was a sweet young adult novel with an ending that I DID NOT see coming. At first I was not sure what to expect with the book. It took me about 10% into the read to get a grasp of Lylah. She’s a young woman on her way to graduating high school when she suddenly meets William. Her life immediately changes. They are drawn to each other with a familiarity that overcame them from the first moment they meet. Lylah s
More Than Words Can Say by Mari Suggs is a YA romance with a past lives twist. The story focuses on Lylah and her relationship with William. From the moment Lylah meets William, they are strangely drawn to each other and they fall in love immediately and deeply. The basic love story gets a twist when Lylah keeps getting glimpses of her past lives with William…and all of these past lives have horrible things happen.
The story was interesting and I have to say that the ending totally surprised me.

3.5 lightning bolts from Storm Goddess

Lylah's life is about to change, in more ways than she could ever imagine. Things are happening in a quick pace. She's just beginning to work with a few people to get into the singing business. Then, she meets someone that she has a strong connection to. Things start to REALLY get interesting then....

I enjoyed this book. I love the premise, and I love reading about characters in the music business, or wanting to get there. I'm passionate about music, so thes

I was given the story by the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you. (YA/NA story) *Spoiler Alert*
I found the synopsis of this story intriguing: past lives
I liked how the author gave details on when the main character saw "memories" and the emotional stress that it brought upon her and her relationship with William.
However I think that the story could have been tighten up a bit more; more focus on the connection between the main characters in the present tense vs. her dilemma of thin

Lylah is this shy girl, with no confidence. Then she meets William. Everything changes... For the better? I have to say I love this love story. As I read this book I thought I knew exactly where it was going, but I was wrong. I don't want to give anything away but the ending was not what I expected, but was perfect. Though there are other characters in this book, it really just focus on this amazing love that Lylah and William share. That all consuming love every girl looks for. I'm so glad Mara ...more
