Rule #1: Don't tell the demons you can see them.

Rule #2: Don't let a demon think you're useful.

Rule #3: Don't ever owe a demon anything.

Aren't there exceptions to every rule? Kendra Abbot is learning the hard way that once you bend them, you can never go back. She's seen demons every day of her life, but it was never a problem until she caught the eye of Nicholas Grant.

Better and better

I've followed Starla Huchton since almost her beginnings as a writer and it amazes me to see how she evolved as a writer. In my opinion, this is her best work yet. This story is witty, touching at times, and sexy. It's also very original. I was hooked from page one. And the quality of the presentation is exceptional.
Good work, Mz Starla. Very good work.

Demons live among us. They shop at the grocery store and work at the local coffee shop. Kendra has been able to see them her whole life. And she’s never told anybody. What good could come of it? She’s used to horns, decaying flesh, and blue skin but when she first meets Nick, she’s caught off guard and she almost can’t keep her secret to herself. His appeal is more than just his good looks, his demon ability makes it hard for her to stay grounded and away from him. She knows she has to stay away ...more

I didn't read the synopsis prior to reading (I'm a Starla Huchton fan so I picked it up and started reading knowing I wouldn't be disappointed). So I didn't know what to expect. This mix of sci-fi/fantasy/romance was a pleasant surprise. There was a little action in there too. I truly enjoyed this read...

Can't wait for the next great book she puts out!

Another great read from Huchton

I'm a terrible reviewer, mostly because it takes time away from the next book. But I felt it worth saying that I have read everything she has written and I have yet to be disappointed. This is another excellent read and I highly recommend it.

It was actually way cooler than what i was expecting. So i had nothing else to read and i just had this lonely unread book on my kindle.... I read it and good thing i did. The story is not so much with the devil but with super natural being that disguise themselves as humans. This main character of this book has always been able to see their true form but learned from an early age to keep true to herself, always pretending not to really see what they were. Then comes in Nicholas Grant, he is a s ...more
