Fun, heartwarming and romantic! DESTINY LAUGHS by Leslie Pike is a delightful escape that will melt hearts with its wonderfully conflicted characters, a dog or two and a perceptive nine-year-old boy.

Veterinarian Nash Santini has moved back to his hometown for the sake of his young son, Max.
Farrah’s life has been tough the past few years, caring for her parents, but now it’s time for a fresh start in a new town with a new job. Fate and an old dog will bring these three together, but will the timing be

Note to Authors: Just because a woman enjoys sex doesn’t makes her a slut! Stop calling your heroines sluts cause they like having sex!
i rather have a “slut” for a heroine than a stupid shy little virgin. This is just tiring!
I enjoy sex so that makes a slut. Thank you very much!

Awesome kid and cute dogs! Heroine has been celibate for some time, she likes sex but can’t remember the last time she has had any. Hero is the usual hero. His wife died, he loved her. Celibate for 2 months. That’s a lo

What a fun and sweet novella! You really can't help but fall in love with Nash, Farrah, and Max. The back and forth banter between Nash and Farrah was both sexy and hilarious and I especially enjoyed Nash's inner monologue. I felt the author really captured the male point of view perfectly. There was chemistry galore between our hero and heroine, but what really shined for me was the relationship between Farrah and Max. Their friendship started off so emotionally, but as the story progressed, th ...more

As far as novellas go, I'm not a big fan. If it's intended to catch us up on characters from a previous book, I enjoy them, but to introduce us to new characters? Nah, I'd much prefer a full novel. Destiny Laughs, though? It far surpasses my expectations!

It takes us on a journey of Nash and Farrah, as well as Nash's 9 year old son, Max, and their coupling, which happens to coincide with Farrah moving away to Seattle. Experiencing their brief- yet intense- relationship was exhilaratin

I 'll have to say I was thinking I had to read the original series to dive into to the "kindle world". I was pleased to read this story and love it! In fact, I wish it were a full novel.

Leslie does a stellar job of pulling you in with this story about Nash, The town Vet along with his son Max and then they meet Farrah. See where Destiny takes them.

I'm a sap- I'm just going to put that out there right now. (Contrary to what some people might think after one of my other reviews this week!) This novella is so sweet, I was crying at the end. Destiny Laughs is a definite case of insta-lust/love, but so well done, so believable, so engaging, I was completely on board! Nash and Farrah belonged together. They deserved each other. They were meant to be.

Oh Wow. What a nice read :-)

I haven't read anything by this author before. But this was a nice, short, sweet read.

Farrah has finally started living her life. She hasn't had much of a life, since her parents got sick and she was looking after them. Now they have passed and she is finally ready to live her life. Getting a new job and selling her house and moving. But then she knocked over a dog and took him to a vet clinic and then she met Dr Nash Santini.

Nash's wife passed away since his son was little. And its just been him

This was a fast enjoyable read that can be read in one sitting. The characters were engaging. I thought it was a sweet story. I loved Nash and his little boy Max. I will be honest Nash's occupation convinced me to read this one. Plus I fell in love with the cover. I loved Nash's big Italian family. Farrah captured my heart because being the only family she has just broke me heart, but one event changes her life course. I couldn't have picked anyone better than Nash and Max. I would definitely re ...more

First of all, this novella was too short. I wanted more. I fell in love with the characters and wanted more of their story!

Farrah is alone, her parents are dead and she doesn’t feel like anything is left for her in St. Helena. When she decides to put her house for sale and move, she meets Dr. Nash, a vet, in unfortunate circumstances. But they develop a friendship that seems to be moving into more and their wonderful story begins. Add a very smart 9 year old with a playful dog, and you have you

Nash is the ultimate man. He's a vet, has a son who he adores, knows his way around a woman and very easy on the eyes. But he's not in any hurry in finding a woman or bringing one around his son. That all changes as soon as he lays eyes on Farrah crying in his waiting room and something twitches. He can't stop himself. Farrah has not had a life of her own for the last 6 years with caring for ailing parents. So she's in a hurry out of St. Helena and to start her new life. But just can she leave w ...more

Absolutely LOVED this novella!!! While I didn't read the original series it's a spinoff of, you don't really need to. I loved all of the characters! I hope to see more in from them in the future!!! Great job Leslie!!!

The Santini Series is a fun, sweet, and sexy set of stories about brothers that will have you laughing and swooning with each story you read.

Destiny Laughs is about Nash, a widowed Vetenerarian, who is smacked in the face with love for the first time since his wife died. But Nash is also a father and he needs to protect his son from heartbreak, just as he does himself.

Farrah is ready to move on with her life. Now that both of her parents have passed, she is ready to start

A cute and quick read with this novella. It wouldn't have taken much to make this into a full length novel. There were times, I felt that the storyline was being rushed. But that didn't stop me from thoroughly enjoying it.

Dr. Nash Santini is the new vet in town. He returned to his hometown to be closer to his family and to raise his son Max--by himself. Nash hasn't been using or looking for anyone special in his life nor was he looking for a new house. He was quite satisfied living

The Santini Brothers Series Box Set by Leslie Pike contains three novellas, Destiny Laughs; Destiny Plays; Destiny Shines.
Destiny Laughs tells Nash and Farrah's heart wrenching story. The widower and single dad meets the recluse woman and for the first time since his wife's death he wants more. A beautiful story that had me on the edge of my seat.
Destiny Plays is Christos and Kate's story and the least favorite of mine. I couldn't really connect with the characters and the heroine wa

I absolutely loved this novella!! Yes, I do wish it was longer, because it was so darn good!! Loved Farrah and Nash and their insta-chemistry was off the charts!! Farrah feels so bad, and guilty when she hits a dog by accident with her car. She stays at the vet to find out if the dog is going to be ok, and she meets the vet, who just so happens to be the very handsome Nash!! She also meets Max, Nash's son. The timing of their meeting may not be the greatest as Farrah is planning to move away fro ...more

Destiny Laughs is the story of Nash & Farrah, and the quick read is perfect for an afternoon of escaping reality. She meets him when she accidentally runs over a dog, and has to take the dog to the vet, who is the mouthwatering Dr. Nash Santini. They have a super sexy shot of chemistry, which at first, she doesn't want to act on because she's moving away, but they decide she's going to go out on a fling. There's a super cute cast of secondaries, who are basically made up of Max, his young so ...more

Destiny Laughs is the first title in the Santini series, a novella length read featuring a endearing set of characters, widowed, single father Nash and his love interest Farrah.

Nash is a sweet, sexy, single father intent on putting all his focus into raising his son.  He puts relationship on the back burner until he meets Farrah, what results is a sweet, fun, emotional story full of heat, heart and steam.

The chemistry and connection is undeniable and quite intense despite their relationship being quite brief.  I

Destiny Laughs is such a beautifully written novella about a single father, Nash, who puts his son first above all else. Even when he met Farrah, a women that was soon moving away, he and Max couldn’t help but be drawn to her. As they spent time together it was evident that there was more to their new found friendship than either had anticipated. With time running out, commitments and responsibilities to be fulfilled Farrah needed to decide whether or not she now wants to leave the one man that ...more

Nash and Farrah find that the best made plans are pure folly in the face of pure fate. Nash is devoted to providing a stable happy and healthy life for his whole world Max. Being a widower in as the small town vet kind of makes him prime pickings but he quite frankly isn’t really interested in anything like that until destiny gives him a little push. Farrah has spent years looking after her ailing folks but now it’s time for her new beginning. She’s starting over with a new job and a new city an ...more

A great start to the series. It may be short but a lot of story is packed into the pages. Very emotional and relatable tale and characters. Farrah played the dutiful daughter and returned home when first her mother, then her father, got ill. She paused her life for the last 6 years and is determined to join the living again. Nash and his son returned to their hometown for the support of family following his wife's death. Neither of them are expecting the connection that they make and the feeling ...more

I thoroughly enjoyed this Novella. I have not had the pleasure of reading many books that showcase single parents and I loved how this started out with Farrah observing, taking in Max and befriending him prior to even meeting Nash. I think this really helped her perception of him, and it wasn't something that he was hiding from her.(like most single parents do after first meeting someone of the opposite sex). Being an open book like he wast, just allowed them to blossom :) They were up front and ...more

Let me just start by saying I wish Nash and Farrah' s story was a full length novel! I absolutely loved their story and Max was just the sweetest! I loved the insta spark, but slow burn between Nash and Farrah. Their chemistry was perfect! I loved how easily they connected and fell for each other! Max and Farrah also hit it off quickly and their relationship only grew stronger! I'm not usually a fan of novellas because I feel the story and character development is rushed, but I did not feel that ...more

A big happy Greek-Italian family is the center of this series. Nash is a veterinarian and a widower with a great 10-year-old son. Farrah is living in St. Helena, in her parents' home. Having just spent the last seven years caring for both parents, she is coming up for air. Planning to sell her parents' home and move to Sseattle, she isn't interested in a relationship with anyone, not even a hunky doctor. Dogs, family, and a happy life make up a nice novella.

Destiny Laughs is the first novella in the Santini Series. It follows the story of Nash and Farrah. Noah is the town vet and he meets Farrah and they hit it off.

Destiny Laughs is fun, sweet, and romantic. I loved following their story. And I loved Max, Nash’s son. He really was a great addition to the story.

Well written, Destiny Laughs is a great, quick read. Go one click!

A cute sweet quick Insta-love story. This is the first book I have read from this author and I liked it. This is told from both point of views. Loved the storyline and the characters. I really enjoyed the banter between Nash and Farrah. Once I started reading this I couldn't put it down. I just wished it was longer. Can't wait to read more from this author and this series.

It warmed my heart. Farrah was devastated about the dog, but relieved he would be OK.

When Nick Santini found the distraught Farrah Knight in his waiting room with his son, taking them out sounded like a plan. But soon things transpired between them.
He was windowed and had to be careful about how he went about things...
