I bet 9/10 people who read this book were cat owners. i ,in fact, am a cat owner and they can be a hassle sometimes. So overall i got a good kick out of this.

So true, sometimes! On the back cover, I think I remember reading, "For every cat lover, there's a cat hater... For every time we pet or cuddle with that sweet ball of fur, there are other times when you just want to wring the little necks of those things..."

My parents kept this book in their collection, & I discovered it in high school. I could totally see my dad as the one to either get this book, or have someone give it to him as a (gag) gift. He likes to "complain" (almost like a comedy routine) whenever a cat does something like interrupt him while he's chillin' so he can let them outside, then wail to get back inside as soon as my dad gets comfortable again. Then when they urp hairballs on the carpet, or lounge right in the middle of his path, blocking easy travel.

The book is reminiscent of those "Far Side" cartoon books, in that it has no real dialogue or narrative, but it's just different drawings of what people (my dad, & even myself included!) most likely "fantasize" when good cats go "evil" on us. I take it as comforting humor during times when I get mad at the cats I love!
