Great adaptation of the Coco movie. This book goes through the basic story, including the ending, so if you haven't seen the movie by now, just be aware that there are spoilers in this book.

This is a Step 3 book for grades 1 to 3 for reading on your own. I thought this book included a perfect amount of detail. Sometimes beginning readers based on movies get a little too ambitious in my opinion and become muddled with a bunch of half-explained details. However, this book does a very good job. There is just enough detail to understand the basic story without overburdening the reader with too many details that are not fully explained. Great balance.

Good pictures that are interesting and go well with the text.

This is a wonderful Coco adaptation.

I don't know whyyyyyy they put these books out before the movie comes out - so you already know the ending and don't actually have to go see it.
The book piqued my interest in the film, but my coworkers and I agree it sounds very much like The Book of Life - and we really liked that movie, so this one has to set itself apart somehow.

This book is not exactly like the movie. It is missing parts, but it was still a good book.
