A companion volume to the BBCs Victorian Kitchen Garden book and programmes. Harry was a splendid old gardener who learned his trade in the pre-war walled kitchen gardens of a large country house. He discusses how to grow many common and uncommon vegetable crops using those traditional techniques. Things like using pots to force rhubarb, blanching sea kale and making a mushroom bed. My go to book for vegetable growing, which I've become very enthusiastic about. Harry you are a legend!
