Just when you think you are finally getting this marriage thing down, your wife won’t kill the therapist you have held captive in your basement. Everybody knows you shouldn’t develop a relationship with someone you intend to murder. It’s much harder to shoot someone in the head or strangle them if you care about them. On top of that, it winds up giving them opportunities to escape or to draw attention to themselves by flooding the downstairs of your home when you have company. How is Jude suppos ...more

Come Hell or High Water is the last book in The Water Trilogy. I enjoyed all three books and am kind of sad to say goodbye to these complex characters. I don't read a lot of trilogies, however Britney King has done an amazing job in pulling me in with this one. In every book the characters Kate and Jude developed into even more intriguing characters. The character development was really good and I also enjoyed seeing how they grew as a couple. The

Oh Jude and Kate .. what is anyone to do with you... The shenanigans this couple can get into knows no bounds . A good ending to a twisted series .

As usual, Britney King has rocked my socks off. I fell in love with these characters in the first book. Demented as the rest of the world might think they are, there's a certain appeal to Kate and Jude that I (and I'm sure many other readers) really can't deny. At every turn in their story, they call to question our fickle ideas of morality and justice and it's really difficult to think of them as bad guys. Yes, they kill people. That's been an obvious theme from the first book, as have many oth ...more

I didn’t think Kate could get any more twisted, but I was so wrong. Her desire to know drives her to do unspeakable, twisted and perverted things. Her actions constantly amaze me, and not in a good way. Where our anger and thoughts of doing something bad to someone may flit through our minds, Kate acts on hers.

This latest ‘event’ cannot end well and I don’t know what she’s thinking. She’s fooling herself. People like her can’t have friends. I’m not even sure she can have a husband and kids and I

Happily Ever After??

Not sure these two would know what that is if it smacked them in the back of the head. Good grief, once again Britney King takes her readers on one heck of a ride with Jude and Kate. These two were absolutely made for each other, although all they seem to do is bring out the worst. It's not everyday you seriously ask your spouse if he's still thinking about killing you, but just another day in the Water's household.

Jude and Kate are always walking a fine line in thier relati

This is book three and the final book in this trilogy. I really didn't want to finish this book as it meant the end to a brilliant trilogy by this author. She certainly knows how to capture a readers attention and keep it right through the book. I personally sat and read this in an afternoon as there was no way I could put it down.

This is the story of a dysfunctional relationship between Jude and Kate. They both as well as their relationship is neither normal or perfect. I loved the storyline o

These are my Happily Ever After Novel Thoughts...

Jude and Kate are at it again, but this time the stakes are higher.

This is the last book in the trilogy and Kate is of her rocker. Jude is losing control and wondering more if he needs to get rid of Kate.

Brady's psychopathic tendencies are starting to show more and more as he gets older. Olivia is starting to question things about Brady and some of the things he tells her. She is also very protective of he little brother.

I liked this book but t

Oh how I'm going to miss Jude and Kates dysfunctional relationship. Come Hell or High Water is by far my favourite of the three. Now, don't get me wrong, I loved them all. But as I told Britney, in this trilogy you get to learn more about the characters lives in each novel, compared to a lot of other trilogy's/ series where you learn pretty much everything about them in the first book. I also love that she doesn't make them as perfect. I used the word dysfunctional earlier to describe their rela ...more

A dark, twisted, intense psychological thriller that'll leave you reeling. The writing is spectacular, the characters crazy and strangely like-able, and the plot unforgettable. Ms. King just keeps getting better and better. This copy given in exchange for an honest review.

5 Stars!

I bow to you Britney King! That was one heck of a way to wrap up this trilogy!!!

Kate and Jude and all their complexities are back in the third and final book in the Water trilogy. In King’s unusual but appropo style, we get further inside these characters minds. The book is intriguing and suspenseful. The relationship between Judy and Kate is bizarre and yet perfect.

You must read the first two books in the series first, but don’t worry, they are fantastic. You really want to read them, b

The final story in the series and man was it just as good as the other two books! Kate has her 'friend' Cheryl held up in a room after she wanted to hire her and Jude to take out her husband, another hit man. She also wanted to see her lover again before she dies, because she knows that's what's coming. But what Jude and Kate don't realize is that they're being played by Cheryl. Jude wanted Kate to just kill her but Kate can't bring herself to do it. I loved how this series really kind of came f ...more

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. This story had me hooked from the start. Kate is acting as jailer to Cheryl, who has been kidnapped by her husband Jude. They were supposed to kill her, but Kate becomes increasingly interested in her and keeps putting it off. She really wants and needs a friend. She has 2 children, so they have Cheryl stashed in a panic room in their house. As the story progresses we find out that Kate has a problem with killing ot ...more

Come Hell or High Water by Britney King is the third and last installment in The Water Trilogy.
Come Hell Or High Water is not a stand-alone. For better understanding I recommend to read Water Under The Bridge- book one and Dead I The Water- book two; first.
When you liked the first two books, youre gonna love this too. The mindfuck continues.
Kate and Jude are married have kids and are hit-man/woman. Jude is for hire and Kate kills when she wants.
But there is a obstacle. A obstacle in form of Cher

Come Hell or High Water is book 3 in the Water trilogy. For one these covers are amazing, which is what first pulled me toward book 1 and had me on this captivating story of Jude and Kate. To understand this story, these books need to be read in the correct order. I loved meeting these characters in Water Under the Bridge and getting to know them more in Dead in the Water and finally seeing their conclusion in Come Hell or High Water. This book and trilogy left me sated and entertained in every ...more

Come Hell or High Water is the third and final book in the water trilogy and it doesn't disappoint! If you've read book 1 and book 2, you won't want to miss this one! Britney writes an amazing conclusion to this trilogy and keeps you on the edge of your seat wondering what is going to happen next. She's a great writer and an excellent suspense writer. Make sure you pick this one up if you want to know what happens to Kate and Jude!

Though I was excitedly waiting for the next chapter in Kate and Jude's story, I knew that this would be the last book and I am sad to say goodbye to these characters. But it was one hall of a crazy ride with them!I love Britney King, her writing and the utterly psychotic, but beautiful characters that she creates.

In this book, Kate and Jude have a big problem. They were supposed to kill Cheryl, but Kate has formed an attachment to her and refuses to do it now.On top of that their kids are growing u

I've always considered my self to be a sane, down to earth, reasonable person, not easily scared and more curious than fearful. This time curiosity did definitly kill the cat (meaning me). Ive read a heap of thrillers-no problem. But the twisted, creepy, buildup in this one, the insight it gives into the psyche, and thoughts behind the actions, reasoning, and how grossly twisted it is, it scared me senseless. The eloquent writing and the perect formulations didnt help since that couldn't distrac ...more

I agree with many of the other reviewers in that I love, love these characters and their shenanigans! But speaking honestly it has begun to grow old by the time we get to this third part of their story and it is time to say good bye! I did not enjoy the subject matter of this novel - it felt forced and unbelievable and in the end completely unresolved.

The writing style here is a breath of fresh air but I wonder if the craziness that is Kate and Jude would have been better told in 2 longer novel

This book brings the trilogy to and end and i am sorry to see this pair go, they are totally right for each other, and totally mad, the story in this addition bring some of the questions that rise throughout the series to a close and i love the twisted twist in the book and the way that they finally move on a brilliant way to end the series and a brilliant written book.

Britney King writes psychological, domestic, and romantic thrillers set in suburbia. She is currently writing three series and several standalone novels.

The Bedrock series (psychological/domestic/romantic thriller) features an unlikely heroine who should have known better. Turns out, she didn't. Thus she finds herself tangled in a messy, dangerous, forbidden love story and face-to-face with a mad
