I went into Fallen Woman with the knowledge from a trusted book friend, saying the book was amazing, and a synopsis. That was it. I had no idea what to expect.
So I started reading, and I soon realised that trusted book friend was right. This book, has literally been my life for a whole day. Fallen Woman infiltrated my heart and soul so deeply, I was consumed by it. From start to finish I lived and breathed these characters. I hurt with them. I cried and smiled with them. Ultimately, I fell in l

This is hands down the most ridiculous story I’ve ever read. It seemed to start out so promising. Gia being a single mom, whose husband and father of her children tragically dies, leaving the her and her three children in dire straights, with hospital bills up the wazoo from her one sick child. With the economy in the shitter, work has been impossible to find (even though Gia is brilliant and has the degrees from Dartmouth to prove how educated she is!), and the whole family

I don’t know why I picked up Fallen Woman. It was a random Kindle Unlimited purchase. Or maybe the author contacted me? Here’s a tip, when I get emails from authors, I sometimes one-click their other books to see if I like the writing style. So, don’t get discourage if bloggers / reviewers don’t message you back. You might get a review out of it anyhow.

I was intrigued by the book because of the summary, hello SINGLE MAMA! And the cover.

Main reason I stopped reading this book was because of the ridiculous proposition made by the main male character. The moment he made the proposition a red flag went up. Also I can't believe the main female character went along with it. No way would a guy who likes someone propose something like this. As far as I read the book the connection between them seemed fake and forced.

I haven't been signing up for a lot of books to review lately, but as soon as I had seen this book's synopsis, I was immediately captivated and hit the request form. So glad that I did.

Fallen Woman has a very interesting, but realistic outlook. Here's a woman who knows what it's like to everything and nothing at all. To have everything you could have ever wanted... the world at your grasp....and the perfect family.... only to have it taken away.

I admired this story, as it felt to have a very hum

This is an amazing don’t blink story! Gianna LeBron clawed herself out of poverty and made a life for herself just to have the rug swept from under her to find herself right where she had started. She blinked and everything around her just came tumbling down ....

I was a blubbering fool thru a lot of this story because it was SO real and relatable. This plight happens to people ALL the time. However, they don’t always get a Jase in their lives to help save the day. That’s why romance fiction exis
I jumped straight into this after reading the brilliant 'Her Perfect' but it lacked the tension, chemistry and um, all around polish of the other book.

I kind of wish I could have beta read this, there were so many plot inconsistencies and red flags ("hey single mum of cute little kids, why don't you go out with my friends. Don't worry about your little ones, I'll take them to a water park and we 'll hang out in swim suits together" or "hi, I know we've never met before but I'm your 80 year old

Well, well, well! This book certainly grabbed my attention. I mean, how could it not? this woman who fought tooth and nail to get where she is- A Dartmouth grad that she put herself though. An excellent job, she married her best friend... who dies a very short time later and her house folds like a deck of cards, then winds up right back where she started from... in the ghetto as a widow with 3 children under the age of 4, one of whom has high health needs. Fallen Woman by Author Stephie Walls is a stunning and heart-stopping friends-to-lovers, contemporary romance story.

"Peace doesn’t remain in my life. It’s a calm before a storm, the eye of a hurricane. There’s always something brewing, a typhoon building."

Fallen Woman resonated in my soul. I felt like I was falling in love on repeat with every turn of the page. The dynamics between the characters was fascinating. I loved learning about them as individuals, but reading about how their lives came

Once I turned the first page, I was glued to Fallen Woman.

I'm lucky enough to call Stephie Walls my friend. I adore her, so of course I love her books. My adoration of this novel is much more than that. I'm critical. Things that don't bother other readers iritate me. I'm hard to please.

Fallen Woman is Stephie at her best. This story is beautiful, the characters are phenomenal, and the writing is superb. I wanted my world to fade away so

This was my first book by Stephie Walls and I'm no doubt a new fan!! Fallen Woman was such a refreshing change of book for me. I loved reading about characters in their 30's and a hero who was inexperienced and kind of nerdy. I did grow a bit frustrated with Jase and Gianna at times - him for his hesitancy to get together and her for her reluctance to receive help from him.

Gianna's situation was very sad but I loved seeing her rise up from rock bottom. These two had quite a story, and I loved a

Gianna LeBron grew up with a strung out single mother. She worked her ass off in school got a full ride to an Ivy league college, married her college love and things were going great. New born twins, a baby on the way when the economy collapsed, her hubby lost his jobs, got mixed up in bad stuff and soon was in jail. Soon he was dead and poor Gianna was back where she never wanted to be, the slum life. Except now she had 3 kids under 5 yrs of age. One who had a medical condition that leaves his ...more

Final Score - 5 Teary Eyed, I'm Over Emotional Now Stars!!!

This is not your typical single parent story line. It's raw, emotional, and in your face about the true lengths a mother will go to - not only to protect and provide for her children, but how far she's willing to compromise herself to do it. I respect the HELL outta that.

Gianna or Gia is a character that you not only respect, but you want the best for her and her kids. You want her to get the HEA that they all deserve. My heart broke rea

The writing just isn't cut out for me. Too much repetition, coincidence and fairy tale in this book. 50 pages in and I am done of hearing of how she got to where she was, how hardworking she is, how amazing and different she is, how she is holding on to her secret, how great and amazing Miss Pearl is, how she is the grandmother she never had, how Derrick fit right in and is bestie with her kids, how the guys are so rich yet reserve because one of them got burn and now believes all women are

This is not the typical single parent story line. Gianna is a character that you can respect and want the best for. My heart broke reading about her story, what she had been through, what she was having to do and that she always put herself last. This was an emotional read. This is my first book by this author and I look forward to reading more of her books.

Wow. That's really all I can say right now. I'm not sure what I was expecting when I went into this book, but it took me on one hell of an emotional roller coaster. Gia, as well as her children, have had to endure some incredibly difficult and painful things. My heart broke for all of them and their situation. I was conflicted with a few decisions that Gia made but overall I liked her character and ultimately can understand why she did the things she did. I didn't see the curve ball coming in re ...more

Each book that I discover by Stephie Walls just keeps getting better and beter. Fallen Woman definitly did not disappoint. Each of the characters were put together perfectly that there was no way that I could not put this book down. This book was one that would pull on your heart-strings and didn't release you until the end. The story of Gia and Jase was one that is a Cinderella story that anyone that has been in Gia's shoes would dream of. There wasn't any part that I would of changed, everythi ...more

Holy rollercoaster!! I was instantly hooked by the story. Seeing Gia continually make sacrifices for her children pulled on my heart strings. She was driven and fierce and knew she had to do everything she could.

When she got her break and Miss Pearl came into the picture I let out a sigh of relief. Miss Pearl was a godsend. That woman made me fall deeper in love with this book!

Around 40% I couldn't believe what I was reading. After picking my jaw up off the floor I braced myself for what was to

First time reading Stephie Walls, she will be at a signing I will be attending this year and Fallen Woman drew my attention. The storyline was a bit different, I wasn't sure I was going to "buy in", but Miss Pearl and Jace, sold me. This is not a typical story. It is a book about the struggle of being a single parent and what length you would go to so your children are fed, clothed and have a roof over your head. Gianna, the main character, has to make choices that are not black and white in nature.

I LOVE Stephie Walls writing. I feel the devastation of the characters in this book. I feel the desperateness that forces Gianna to make choices that others might not make if they were in her situation. A really great read.

This is the second book I've read by Stephie Walls and I'm now convinced I'll read anything she writes.

What to say about Fallen Woman...I loved the main characters in this book so much. Gia is such a strong woman. She dug herself out of poverty as a young girl only to one day find herself implanted there again. Only now she has three small children depending on her. Two very special people come into Gia's life at just the perfect time. Her neighbor, Miss Pearl (we all need a Miss Pearl in our li

Fallen Woman by Stephie Walls is an emotional story of a young mother who finds herself at rock bottom grasping just to see the light. Flawlessly crafted, Fallen Woman is one of the most original stories I've read in quite awhile and I couldn't and didn't put it down for long. These characters are so well written and interesting I needed to see what happened next rather than sleep.

Gianna is so strong and resilient but broken down too. What seems small to us, like getting a job, is what can be l
