Saffron McNabb is living her best life. After abandoning corporate rat race almost twenty years before, Saffy’s happily managing a small bed and breakfast in the north Georgia mountains. That is, until the owner of the Creekside B & B wants to sell, and not to Saffy. Bruce Baird is in desperate need of a change. Bored both professionally and personally, when he’s forced to take vacation, the normally unadventurous actuary decides to throw caution to the wind. A close encounter with one of Saffy’s rescued animals leaves the tightly-wound man and the free-spirited woman at odds. But when reality intrudes on the odd couple, they find they have more in common than not, and maybe, just maybe, Saffy and Bruce actually make a perfect combination.
Josie Kerr is a transplanted West Texan living on the edge of semi-profoundly rural Georgia, a.k.a. the southernmost edge of the northernmost county in Metro Atlanta.
She has an M.Ed. in Secondary English Education, but discovered that she hated high school more the second time than she did the first, so she decided to meld her love of technology with her education background and became an Instructional Designer. When not writing articles about how to fire someone without getting sued or why you should really not apply for jobs using your SexxyStud99@aol.com email address, she writes steamy romance novels that feature grown-up Heroes and Heroines.
Chances are his suitcase was lost despite the assurances of the airline, and if it was, he didn’t want to spend the next week looking like he was dressed in castoffs from a community theater production of Godspell.
"But I got to thinking—” “Oh, Saffy. Never, ever think when you’re locking lips with a handsome man.” “I know,” Saffy said with a sigh.
… so what type of person did that make her? A judgmental twatermelon…
My Review:
This has been one of my favorite series, like ever! And I smirked and sighed contentedly while reading this amusing, sweet, and sexy stand-alone installment. Aptly titled, as it was sweet as honey and certainly made me happy. This endearingly appealing tale arrived on my Kindle at the perfect time, as I needed something fun, refreshing, and pleasantly satisfying while definitely lighter in nature after an unhealthy diet of angst and tension. The alluring and adorable couple of Saffy and Bruce worked a charm. The storylines were fresh, delightfully upbeat, easy to follow and well paced, while laced with levity, a sweet romance, a few surprises, and hits of humorously delectable steam.
The lovely book cover alone continues to affect me like some sort of visual Xanax, as the gleeful and magnetically attractive woman featured has managed to magically elicit a smile every single time my eyes have landed on her joyful countenance. She makes my heart sing and was the perfect match for the character.
I enjoyed both of the quirky and enticing main characters, although I aspire to be as Zen in my world as Saffy was in hers; she had found her niche, enjoyed utilizing her skills, and had established a useful and satisfying outlet for her creativity. I adored her! Saffy had been living a calm and almost totally fulfilling life, with her unusual menagerie of rescue animals while running a B&B and organic products store ingeniously named Goat Waggle ~ snort! Sounds like Nirvana to me, and a handsome and gentle vacationer turned out to be the tasty treat who tipped the scales toward total bliss. That was until a greedy twatwaffle attempted to sell it all out from under her with shady dealings. The hero of the day was not whom I expected and I look forward to hopefully peeling that onion in a subsequent volume in the series.
Extremely entertaining, captivating and interesting sexy read. I could not put it down. Wonderfully written with strong, intriguing characters. I want to read more from this author.

Reviewed on behalf of http://bookaddict.live, What sweet and quirky love story from Josie Kerr’s Hemlock Creek series. First thing is I haven’t read any of Josie’s books before, I feel in love with the book cover and description. We have an uptight middle aged man stuck in his ways being told to take vacation time. His office partner books him a holiday at a quant place in Hemlock Creek. Everything that can wrong does go wrong. The place makes him realise how uptight and stuck in a rut he is. It was so delightful to watch Bruce unwind the longer he is around Saffy who runs the B+ B and makes all her natural soaps and creams. I loved her pets if they didn’t put Bruce off , but it was so funny visualizing him fighting the goat for his trousers. An uplifting tale told from both pov’s that adds to the confusion for two people who find love when they least expect to find it.
I love a good free-spirit character like Saffron is. And I love how straight-laced and stuffy Bruce is. It always makes when they clash, so much more effective. Saffron's spirit and caring heart tempers Bruce's "adultness". Bruce has been working for years and he likes what he does. He is forced to take a vacation and that's when he runs into Saffron. Or should I say experiences her.
Saffron softens Bruce. She gets him feeling for what seems like the first time. Bruce and Saffron are so completely opposite but perfectly so. They're so completely different except that they have the passions that drive them. Saffron for the Inn and Bruce for his work life.
But it's so sweet how they both need each other in very different ways!
What happens when an overworked man and stressed out but eccentric woman meet? Fireworks!
Bruce and Saffy are both adorable and lovable. Josie does such a great job building these characters and stories. You get sucked into their world and don’t want to surface until reach “the end.”
This is such a wonderful delightful edition to the Hemlock Creek series. Honey and Happiness is such a heart warming story yet you get some great belly laughs in there too. How can you not when there’s not just great people but some lovable goat/turkey/dogs thrown in the mix.
And like always I’m left yearning for the next book!
I received an advanced readers copy for my honest opinion on this book.
Saffron runs a B&B in a quiet little town, until the owners pass away and their son decides to sell the place. She tries to come up with a way to buy it, but doesn’t have the money. Bruce is a no nonsense straight laced man who is told to take a vacation from his job. He ends up camping next door to Saffron’s B&B! When they meet sparks fly between them, but what can possibly happen since he’s leaving in a few days! Can they find their happily ever after? This is a great book that I would definitely recommend!

This is funny sweet book about two people who appear to be total opposites but they do have some things in common as they will the more time they spend together. Saffron burned out years ago in the corporate world so she headed to the north mountains of Georgia to run a B & B. Bruce the owners son needs a break from his corporate job so he goes to his parents B & B to sell it for them and meets Saffron who has been running the inn for his parents. When the B & B comes up for sale she wants to buy it but can't come up with the money. Can these two ever see eye to eye on anything? 2 minutes ago
Saffy is a slightly boho B&B manager, now the b&b is up for sale and her idyllic little world seems to be on the rocks.
Bruce is uptight and stuffy, never leaving work or taking holidays, then he is forced to take some of his well overdue vacation days. Ending up in Hemlock Creek he starts to relax and a less uptight Bruce appears.
A funny story with Saffy her menage of animals and the uptight Bruce, I felt the chiseled Bruce was slightly at odds with his braces but overall I enjoyed the book, although here were a couple of spots especially involving the B&B that I felt could have been expanded on.
Awww I loved this, it has drama and humour. A little suspense and some bad guys to hate, good guys to love. Bruce is a big cuddly teddy bear and Saffy is light and bubbly, they are so right for each other and that is exactly what makes this book and the series so great. these characters are all like the missing parts of each other, two halves that when they get together are a whole. Fabulous reading and I feel so blessed to have won a giveaway for the set, massive thank you to Josie Kerr, I will be buying other books of yours as well as the rest of this series as they release. Loved them all and cant wait for more.
Oh I loved this book!!! Saffy and Bruce were so adorable!!
At first, Bruce comes across as a jerk (and he kind of is!), so you can't help but giggle at his expense when everything that could possible go wrong on a vacation goes wrong for him! He needed to unwind, let go of his control on things... and boy, did he ever! I loved it!
Saffy is adorable, you can't help but root for her and her menagerie of critters!
No spoilers with this review... but loved the few twists and turns. So fun to be pleasantly surprised!
This is the 1st book I've read written by Josie Kerr; she has done an great job at writing a good book; I will definitely be reading more of her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.
I loved the characters.

This was a really sweet read and a great addition to the series it was really well written and Saffron and Bruce were just such great characters and I really enjoyed getting to know them. A super read I would recommend it and the rest of the series.
A very easy, face paced story. Characters are well developed with a unique and interesting storyline has you on the edge of your seat from the beginning.
This is a very well named book. It is a total sweet sigh invoking tome. It is funny, warm, sweet, loving along with a little quirkiness to keep you smiling and feeling warm and fuzzy. This is the first time I have read anything by Josie Kerr but I can promise you it will not be the last. I really enjoyed the experience of reading this book and how it made me feel while reading and after it was done. A lasting impression was left with me. I can't wait to read more for this author to see if this warm feeling I am left with is their gift that they share in each and every story they write. Worth you precious reading time.

I have to say I'm very surprised to be giving this book just 2 stars with an "it was ok" rating but the book was just ok. Bruce and Saffy just didn't do it for me. I was turned off by the way she kept describing Bruce when meeting and seeing him with suspenders and the lot and that even though he was good looking it was like she couldn't get past his clothes. Then Saffy just seemed eccentric. I mean you are running a B&B but yet you let animals into the kitchen while you make food and all this stuff. There was a happy ending and I did enjoy a little insight into Barrett. I'm hoping that Billie and Barrett's story is more like the previous books. Maybe it was just me on this but definitely just ok.
Free spirited Safron has such a caring heart and is so passionate about things. Bruce seems a bit stuffy and strict. When they run into one another they seem so different yet so meant for each other. The book has lots of humor and a little drama. This was my first read by Kerr but I will definatley go back and read the rest of the series. It drew me in quickly and I was able to read it in one day. I love books that are so easy. I am going to recommend this author to some friends that I know will love it as much as I did.
Loved reading book 4 of the Hemlock series. Bruce is a workaholic from Boston who needs a major change in his life and Saffron is a beautiful but quirky manager of the local bed and breakfast in Hemlock Creek. When the two meet, sparks fly despite them being complete opposites and having absolutely nothing in common, but will their differences end up keeping them apart after all? Great read with the right mix of drama, romance and farm animals!
