As the title states, this is a quick access reference book. It is easy to navigate and clearly written.

Other than the Everyday Writer by St. Martin's press, none of these handbooks stand out from the others. They're kind of like soda or beer, even. Can't taste much of a difference without a lot of concentration. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm, was that McGraw-Hill or Pearson? Hmmmmmmmmmmmm . . . But when in doubt, go with St. Martin's. I think they are a little more adventerous. More fun. And heaven knows we need as much of that as we can get. "OK, kids, let's get back in the pool."

This was a book I had to use to teach a beginning writing class. It was fine, but not one of Troyka's best.
