⋰⋱⋰⋱⋰⋱*Had expected more*⋰⋱⋰⋱⋰⋱
This review is purely for me and does contain spoilers and of facts from the book to keep myself in the know at all time.

Third book of Queen Arianna ‘Ari’ and her now mate, King Kade. Arianna had her thrown taken from her and she's been banished from wolf territory. On top of that her best friend has been taken by the fae: the Winter Court. Arianna, Kade, their familiars and Arianna's dominants, along with a magic born, they go on a rescue mission. There's also the fact that Selene is trying to make a war between the wolfs and the bears. Overall, it's not bad, but something is missing - the spark maybe - for me to enjoy it. I remember adoring book one and two the first time I read it, but now... after the re-read they just were. I just want to finish the series so I can move on. The series is actually highly predictable. But King Kade still sexy. BUT THE SEX!! WHERE IS THE DAMN SEX??!! Without it, the series might as well be YA instead of NA as it's tagged.

His unwavering love and support was like a rush of heat that coated my skin and seeped into my soul. It was so much more than I’d ever expected I would experience from a man.

I like the new covers though:

Other characters:
I've put these in a spoilers tag simply because it's a long as list.

So much beauty here. Made perfect sense when teamed with all the danger. In my world the most beautiful things were often the deadliest.

Quick basic facts:
Genre: - (NA) Urban Fantasy.
Series: - Series, Book Three.
Love triangle? -
Cheating? -
HEA? -
Favorite character? - King Kade.
Would I read more by this author/or of series? - Yes.
Would I recommend this book/series? - Unsure.
Will I read this again in the future? - Probably not.
Rating - 2.5/3 stars.

If you are currently in an ACOWAR hangover like me, do your self a favor and start this series. Ithe has a lot of elements from the ACOTAR series that I love while also being it's own unique story. PLUS HOT BEAR SHIFTER!!.

Now on to my review...

This book was so good. I loved being in the faelands. The world was better explained and I got a better sense of what we are fighting. There was a specific scene that was my favorite. The underground fighting ring was by far my favorite moment. I swooned and loved every second of Kade and Ari in this book!! There was a raw vulnerability shown in this book from Arianna. We also got lots of politics talk for all the lovers of political intrigue. I cannot wait to continue with the series!! The finale will be epic!

Jaymin Eve is one of my favorite authors, and she never fails to deliver.
This is the 3rd book in the NYC Mecca Series, and I thought this was the last book in the series.
It's not!! But the final story coming out soon.

The series follows Arianna, a wolf shifter and heir to the wolf crown, and Kade, king of the bear shifters, enemies of the wolf shifters, and Arianna's soul mate, as they fight the fae, a common enemy who was once banished from NYC, but who wants to come back and rule over wolves, bears, and fae.

I really enjoyed this installment, and I'm looking forward to the final book in the series!

Ari and Kade travel through the Otherworld to rescue Violet before war breaks out back in NYC. Along the way, they discover that Ari has unexpected ties to the Otherworld and a hidden cache of power. New enemies are also revealed.

I'm not sure if it is because I read the previous two books a while ago or what, but this one fell a little flat for me with regard to Ari and Kade. I suppose they were rather busy traversing a dangerous land and I might have been annoyed if they were constantly loving up on one another. But it seems to me like the dynamic between them shifted and Kade fell into a completely supportive/submissive role that I just didn't associate with him. Ari has always been the focus, true, but he was equally as strong of a character, until now. There is only one more book in the series and I want to read it to complete the series. I just hope Kade isn't relegated to just being arm candy in the next book too.

The story continues straight after the end of book two and the action packed adventure just keeps getting better. This book for me is better than the second one because a lot of secrets are uncovered and the plot really does thicken more and more. There are a lot of characters in this series and a lot of side stories going on in the back ground and at times I found that distracting. Leia and Jaymin are a great writing team and I'm sure book 4 will be another best seller for them.....looking forward to seeing where this story goes next

Third book in the NYC Mecca Series by Jaymin Eve and Leia Stone. The story moves along quite quickly in this book and several truths are revealed and a few story lines closed. However there is still one more big danger looming for the fourth and final book in the series of which I'm looking forward to reading next to see how it will all end.

The writing duo dive straight back into where they left off in book two - more action, more characters, more challenges and some truths revealed. However, rather than winding things down they are preparing the way for a big blow-out in book four and it will be interesting to see the fall out.

Queen Fae by Jaymin Eve and Leia Stone a sublime five-star read. This is the third book in the NYC Mecca series and Its amazing, the first book Queen Heir was fabulous, the second Queen Alpha was amazing and this book just shows the series is going from strength to strength, I have such high hopes for book four. These two authors truly write as one, when you get two authors co-writing you usually can tell who wrote what chapter as there is always a tell with the style of writing, but these two are seamless. Jaymin Eve does this with other authors also and it seems to be her superhero talent.
Just as Arianna gets over the repercussions of her decision regarding King Kade, Violet is kidnapped by the Fae, little do they know that Arianna would do anything to save her bestie. Or maybe they do and this is what they wanted all along? Arianna in the Otherworld.
This journey is filled with drama, intrigue and passion, they will show each other how friendship and love can overcome anything. Even secrets that are revealed that will shake the very foundation of who they are. There is so much I would love to put in here, but I can’t, I don’t want to spoil the enjoyment that you will get out of reading this story.
This series is great, but I have come to expect nothing less from these authors. Get this series, you need to go live in the NYC Mecca world.

The series still plods along at a very tame pace with no big surprises. Ex queen finds our who her real parents are and as expected one of them at least has to be evil. They get captured and manage to escape all while saving their loved ones. Then back to earth to regain the thrown bla bla bla it all happens with very little effort. The characters just not interesting enough to really grab my attention. :(

I was not into this book when I first started it, it almost landed on my dnf shelf. I forced myself to keep reading and can say it definitely did pick up. I think not knowing the characters, didnt read the first two books first, was partially the reason.

I enjoyed the magical sense found in this book. It was whimsical and lots of descriptions to visualize it all. They did a good job bringing in multiple twists and turns. Then just went you think its the end, its not lol I really loved the bond that Ari had with not only her mate Kade but also her friends. They will put themselves in danger, willing to sacrifice for the big picture.

This book continued exactly from where the lst one left off. Arianna has to find Violet and along the way, we get to finally see the land of Fairy.

A lot happened in this book. It takes place almost entirely in Fairy and the characters have to go through a lot to get to the land of Winter where Violet is. Along the way, different fae try to stop them, and there is help as well from a few.

My actual feelings on this book? It was good. I didn't get greatness, but that's okay. I got to be around the fae for a whole book. Relationship wise, nothing really grew. Alliances were formed, tons of secrets were formed, and again, I got to see the land of Fairy. That alone always makes me happy.

The end did have some interesting new information that will keep the book moving, and, in the end, the book was fun. (I mentioned Fairy, right?)

Another great story in the series. So much was accomplished in this one. And we got to see a more sensible part of Ari.
I loved the characters, the friendship, loyalty and bravery.
I am sorry for Violet and for all that she has been through but I am glad she got back and is more kick ass then ever.
I can't wait to read the last book in the series and see how Ari and Kade take their enemies by storm.

description
The third installment of the NYC Mecca series, Queen Fae continues the story of Arianna, the queen of the were-wolves and true mate of Kade, the king of the wolf shifters. Violet has been kidnapped by the Fae and Arianna with do absolutely anything to get her back. She is ready to bring down her wrath on the kidnappers. Sneaking into the Fae lands with her personal guard and king Kade, she goes on a mission to save Violet, stop a war, and to restore the balance to the Mecca. Along the way she will be have to deal with great dangers and fights for their lives.
Not the best installment in the series, Queen Fae was mediocre. It continued the plot and progressed the romance between Arianna and Kade, but ultimately it was not as incredibly epic as the first book in the series. I really think that all of the novels in the series could have been brought together into one book and have felt more seamless and engaging. The plot development was still very good and it was entertaining to read, it's just not AS interesting as the beginning of the series. Kade is still a very interesting character and the magic/shifter feel of the novel was fun to read on. All in all, I give Queen Fae the rating of FOUR OUT OF FIVE STARS!

Holy Shifter Babies Jaymin and Leia have done it again. I was on my toes the entire time I read this book, and I think that's one of the reasons I love this series. It's a constant pay attention type of book or else you'll miss something.
There's so much I want to squeal about, to hypothesize on, but I will be a good girl and NOT include spoilers.

What I will say? Don't ever think about crossing a Magic Born, or the leaders of the shifters because like the "packs" are their family they will hunt you down and destroy you for hurting one of their own. I love the fact that Ari and Kade do not try to change one another, they don't fight each other on decisions. If one leaps, the other follows. No questions, no complaints, just a united force, now that's amazing. and that is why they are so so strong!

I liked seeing Ari a little more emotional and not so regal in this one, this is what sets her apart from The Red Queen, she cares, she nurtures, she is "motherly" instead of "queenly" . Can Kade be any more perfect with his unconditional love and support for Ari, his people, his family, and always having the most perfect things to say? Can he be any more dreamy? I'm not sure, but all I have to say is I see a lot of cute "cubs" in their future.

Ari's best friend Violet has been captured by the Winter Court and the only way to save her is to travel into the Otherworld and rescue her. Together with her mate, a few of her wolves, her familiar and a magic born they risk their lives to travel just through the portal into the Otherworld. Since losing her crown to her rival she's been banned from her home, and using the mecca to jump worlds will paint a target on her back.

Having successful arrived in the Otherworld they split up hoping to draw less attention as they journey towards the Winter Court. Finding Unlikely allies among the fae as well as finding friendship among the Summer court. However, rescuing Violet won't be the only challenge she will learn that she's not just a shifter like she always thought and the secrets that the Red Queen kept hidden are about to come out. Will they make it out with everyone and back to the New York? Or will the Winter Queen get what's she wants and Ari to turn over her very soul.

I love Ari she's a sweetheart caring about her people before herself even her own guards who are to protect her. I love Kade he's a perfect match for her they complement each other in every aspect and they will change the shifter world forever. We've gotten to know a little more about Ari's friends that like her they would risk it all to save her which I think proves that she's meant to be Queen.

I've been putting this off because I know the end is coming and I love the series so much. This installment was intense lots of action as Ari and Kade risked it all to save her friend. We even get a little bit of sweet romance between our duo when they have some downtime. The authors have created an exciting new shifter world that captures the heart as well as the imagination. Every installment has been hard to put down I read Queen Fae in just a single afternoon I had to know how it was going to end. I can't wait to get my hands on the next book and see how it will all play out. I loved the story and each installment just keeps getting better and better becoming one of my favorite shifter series. Highly recommend.

Yes! The only thing this series is missing is more snarky humor! Now that Violet is back I’m hoping there will be more! I like how in each book you get closure but a slight cliffhanger. There is art in that. I’ve read so many books where the characters are bombarded with problem after problem until I feel if I were them I would go on strike and walk right off the page of the book. Though this book is riddled with strife and adventure there are small victories that bolster the characters and make them ready for the next fight!

I honestly don't get shifter books, with the exception of anything written by Ilona Andrews. So I put off reading this series. But I am glad that a bout of flu made me start reading absolutely everything and I picked this up, because it is effing awesome. The MC is a badass and I don't even mind that she and the main love interest turns into critters, they are both wonderful. Most of the characters are wonderful, with strong personalities that are totally believable despite the unbelievable setting.

As a New Yorker and Manhattan resident I was also mostly unbothered by the depiction of the city--so many books get so many things wrong. This alternate universe version of the city was different enough for me to not be pissed off, but had enough details that weren't completely inaccurate, and I was not pulled out of the story because of this. I really appreciated that.

I did LOL that absolutely anything of value is on Staten Island though. Y'all funny. Looking forward to more in this series.

Another awesome book in this awesome series by these awesome authors.

I don’t really have much to add that wasn’t in my reviews for the first 2 books but I loved this one just as much. Ari and Kade are still some of my favorites of all time. Violet is one of the best side characters ever. Mecca magic is awesome.

The third book in the world of werewolves and bear-shifters follows Arianna, Kade and friends as they travel into the Otherworld to rescue Violet. At the end of the final book, Arianna, Kade and Nikoli split off from the rest of their friends, as the two groups trek across the land towards where they hope to find Violet. After befriending some gnomes Arianna’s group trade for weapons and learns of the dangers of the different fae creatures, the land and the Winter Court. When they final meet up with Monica, Blaine and Victor they must be extra careful not to attract any attention, but with their luck it won’t be long until something goes wrong.
*Slight spoilers ahead*
While Arianna’s travelling, Violet contacts her in her dreams and reveals that the Winter Queen has a chest with Arianna’s power in it and is demanding that Violet open it. It’s revealed that she has Arianna’s power because she is the daughter of the Winter Prinece, making her half-fae. The rescue attempt goes wrong, and the Winter Court captures Arianna and Kade. The only thought that sustains Arianna’s the thought of Kade, her familiar Finn and her people. I don’t want to go any more into it since even this was a slight spoiler, but the twists and turns throughout this book was insane! There was much going on.
It was enjoyable to see Kade and Arianna enjoy their relationship without having to keep it hidden from everyone. They’re comfortable with each other and it shows with the tender affection they show to each other around when with others. They are in constant communication thanks to their psyphic link, ulitising it to be even deadlier in battle. Which they will need in the Otherworld. The bond lets them be stronger than either could be alone, well as alone as you can be when have magical familiar.
This book had tons of twists, with revealed family connections, new allies and terrifying enemies. The Winter Queen is a common fae character used in many novels, but the authors made their version unique while still fearsome and cruel. She even tortures an innocent child from her own people. I’m sure she’ll make a great villain for the remainder of the series.
Violet’s time in the Otherworld took an obvious toll her mentally which was heartbreaking to see. Even so her strength shines through, anyone else would be crying in a corner mumbling to themselves. She’s a great character and these events only help to make her more intriguing.
Finally, finally we get to watch Arianna take down Selene and her venomous familiar. The battle is brutal, letting out years of competition and frustration, though quick. I especially enjoyed seeing the familiars get revenge on that horrid snake, great teamwork you two! Not only did they deal with Selene but Violet also takes on Sabene, releasing all her angrer from the events in the Otherworld. Overall it was good to see such tretorous, self-centered and petty characters get what they deserve.
As with previous books in this series, I enjoyed the unique take on werewolves, the fully developed characters and the action packed pace. I’m desperate to read the finally instalment in Arianna and Kade’s journey and see them defeated their enemies once and for all. I loved this book and give it 5/5.

This book starts exactly where the last one finished. Violet's missing in the land of Fae, Ari and Kane have to find her before it's too late, and the Queendom is somewhat up sh!t creek without a paddle. However, with Ari, Kane and their friends/guards on the hunt, you know things are going to get done. As much as I adore this addition to the NYC Mecca series, I must say that I found a lot of the major plot twists that have been revealed so far are really predictable - I mean there is a major one that I called in book one, and I was 100% right. However, there is one plot twist in this series that I didn't see coming AT ALL. There were continuous mentions of this character and questions about what happened to them, so when we come across them in this book I pretty much danced in delight, especially considering the situation they were revealed to Ari and Kane in (sorry keeping this spoiler free so you're just going to have to read it for yourself if you want to find out more).

I don't think I've ever written how much I love Kane's Mum, so I'm just going to take a moment and say how much I love her, she's just absolutely adorable. I love that she is has such a loving nature but still has the strength of a true matriarch.

I love that in this book we get to see a different side of Ari. In previous books she is very strong and 'queenly' but in Queen Fae we see a more emotional side of Ari. We experience her torment at the loss of her friend, her frantic need to find her before it's too late, her worry for the situation she's put her friends and family in, and her concern for what is going on at home. As for Kane, I love how is so alpha male without taking anything away from Ari and her alpha-ness. I've seen a few reviews where people have said Kane to be more alpha male - why? If he was more alpha male than he is then he would completely over-power Ari and then there'd be a dominance struggle.

Anyway, this book is a great edition to the series and the books are definitely getting better with each edition - something that is generally very hard to pull off, so nice work Jaymin and Leia.

This was another fantastic installment from Leia and Jaymin! I loved how everything began coming full circle, and how all of the ground work paid off and the things which were foreshadowed came true. It’s not all sunshine and unicorn kisses – our characters go through a very difficult time. But they also aren’t constantly beaten down and left with no hope – on the contrary, there’s a lot of hope moving forward. Jaymin and Leia also did a fantastic job of subtly bringing us back into the story at the very beginning... Like, "Okay, here's where we are!" without being an obvious recap. I follow so many series that sometimes it can be a struggle to pick right back up in the next book, and I thought this in particular was really well-done. I once again found myself on the edge of my seat, wishing that the book wouldn’t end, and eagerly awaiting the next and final installment.

Slight spoilers below:

I also really loved how no matter what - Arianna and Kade remained strong together. I hate it when we as readers are sold a bill of goods about true mates and such and then our couple is torn apart by stupid stuff or stupid people. And while I'm low-key waiting for some kind of betrayal from the Summer Court, I was also really sad to see Dahlia go... It would be nice if Arianna had someone equally strong to learn from and with - it's different with her friends, and it's different with Calista - because really no one else is on her level of power, if that makes sense? And she always has to be so strong. I mean, we definitely get some element of that with Kade, which is nice. But it would be awesome to see Ari learn more about her fae powers from someone who knows that they're doing, someone we can trust.

Can’t wait for the next book!
