Five stars: A positive book that opens the reader to believe in signs from the afterlife.

I am going to skip my conventional review style for this book and share a personal experience. I am not sure how this book fell into my lap. I think I saw it when I was researching books for my blog. Anyway, I thought it looked interesting so I put in a recommendation at my library. I was surprised when they purchased the book, but pleased. I downloaded the library ebook on my Kindle and plunged in.

I’m not really sure why people found this book so compelling. Overall, what the writer offers as a guide to opening yourself up to “signs” is merely a recipe for confirmation bias. The author talked about her fathers love for Elvis and the next day I noticed 2 Elvis references in my own life. Is this because her deceased father is seeking to contact me to validate the missed logic in this book? I doubt it. Let me save you the $14: if you ask the world (and your brain) to look for signs you are b ...more

For those who are trying to understand the little signs we get from loved ones after they pass, this is the book for you. I think I cried during every chapter. That doesn't happen...EVER. But when you read about children dying and then sending signs that they are okay from the other side, you can't help but get choked up.

The story about the red balloon brought chills to me before the uncontrollable sobbing.

Ms. Jackson describes a lot of the things I understand about the universe in a different,

Unlike the author, I will keep this brief and not repeat myself - I believe in signs from the universe and communication from the Other Side; however, this book could have been written in 50 pages or less. Often the writing was self-congratulatory, which did not add to the stories she was privileged to share.

I was really looking forward to this book, and was quickly disappointed. I was hopeful that it would be a more comprehensive guide to signs, how they work, and different ways they present themselves in a person's life. This instead was a collections of stories. It felt more of a version of "Chicken Soup for the Soul Signs Edition". I feel the author missed a great opportunity to make this into a unique niche that is much needed and sought after.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for ARC i

My pride is taking a bit of a hit admitting this, but I wanted to believe. Grief messes with you. It made this lifelong skeptic take pause, buy a freaking book, and say, “but what if?” And despite it being relatively simple to explain the well-documented tricks mediums use to create the illusion that they have any sort of special abilities, so many of us still continue to turn the other cheek.

Maybe it’s just not that easy to let go of the hope that you can still talk to the people you love o

Lots of stories on signs. Signs from the universe, from passed away loved ones, guardian angels, etc. Make sure you're always open to signs because they may direct you quicker to your destiny and what's meant to be. Connecting with people who have passed can be very heart warming and allow us to carry on living our lives. ...more

I’ve given this book five stars because it’s very readable.

It tells us how we can ask our deceased loved ones to give us signs from the other side to let us know they’re okay.

The author is a medium and can easily contact the dead. But she tells us we can all get signs from them.

We are given dozens of true life examples of people constantly receiving signs from the other side.

Once the author asked for an orange to be put in her path as a sign, and came across a decoration with thousands of orange

I think people either believe in this sort of thing or they don’t, so I don’t know if any skeptics are going to be swayed by reading this book. But since I feel like I have asked for and received signs in the past, wow! This book is full of amazing stories. I suppose I have thought that in my own life, those signs were a one off, but I’m going to be more open to ongoing experiences from now on.

Part Four of the book will resonate with anyone familiar with Unity or Louise Hay.

I could not wait to read this book. It did not disappoint. I admit, I love anything about Spirit that is deeply meaningful, ethical, and radiant. This book allows readers to connect with loved ones from the other side and is full of vignettes of lovely and emotional times various people have connected with the Other Side. Signs are everywhere and as a believer, and after reading this book, I have received more signs than usual (because I love communicating with those who have passed) and so have ...more

I came to this book by way of a former classmate who recently loss her husband and became widowed at 40 years of age with her three children.
She posted it in her facebook feed and I ordered it moments later. I was doubly intrigued that the authored an English teacher and a local.
While the book speaks to things I already intuitively know, it has opened my mind and heart to so much more. This is a story about connecting with the Other Side, and this means many stories of loss but they are beautifu

There were parts I like and parts I didn’t. The beginning and end were good but the middle was a slog. I believe in signs and that there’s more to the world and all, I just don’t believe with all the specific things she had put together to explain it all. I think she makes it too easy and makes the world seem too pretty, which brings me to my main qualm. It’s easy for me, a rich white girl, to believe all is great despite a few hiccups. But how could other people, people less fortunate than me, ...more

I bought this as an audio book and listened while driving over the mountains to my hometown the day after school finished for the year (I'm a teacher). It took me to a different world - the world of communicating with dead relatives! You don't have to be a psychic medium to "hear" your own cheering team - you just have to know how to ask for a specific sign. I kept this advice in mind while driving. My father passed away 20 years ago, but when I asked for a specific sign, he sent it to me. Laura ...more

This book is no joke. From how and when this book came into my life to the beautiful explanation she gives of "the other side", I loved everything about this book. I am not very religious and sometimes questions what I was taught as a small child. My father recently passed away and I was having a hard time with the "why" and where was he now and all that comes with such a loss. This book has given me such PEACE. I recommend to anyone who has lost a loved one (or just anyone!) Beyond explaining h ...more
I cannot understand how this book got so many positive reviews. I guess it's simply a reflection of people's desperation following the death of a loved one.
The author makes no effort to substantiate her claims in any scientific way. She just keeps talking about god and offers a bunch of stories that pretty much demonstrate you can find symbols anywhere you want, if you decide to.
But the worst part of this book is that it's just so boring and repetitive! What a waste of money.

I've seen a lot of strange shit since my Dad passed in June. A lot of the same signs I had seen in August two years ago when my best guy friend unexpectedly passed away from leukemia. This book helped me recognize and understand a lot of these signs as from the Other Side. A very positive and moving book. And yes, it has helped me with the grieving process. ...more

Can you give a book more than 5 stars? This book has literally changed my life - overnight. I grew up religious, going to a Catholic grade school from K-8 grade and then an all-girls Catholic high school, both of which I had no choice in the matter, so I kind of just dealt with it. The reason I say this is because I am no longer religious but I am a HUGE believer in the power of the universe and radiating, living and breathing positive vibes because frankly, life is too short. I don’t even know ...more

April 2021: I re-read this book because it resonated with me so strongly that first time and I need some positivity and inspiration right now. Pandemic life has been hard on me, along with extra personal challenges I've faced recently. I feel isolated and less optimistic than usual. This book was a reminder that we are all connected, both here and on The Other Side. I feel inspired to ask The Universe for what I need and be open to guidance.

I'm mostly embarrassed that i even spent time reading this. (It was recommended by a friend.)
Don't let her first chapter fool you, this is entirely written from a Judeo-Christian p.o.v. and clearly only accounts stories of affluent individuals who could afford her services. The ENTIRE book is just complied of stories of people seeing signs, NOT any meaning behind them, origins of these beliefs, or even analogies to anything outside of this woman's readings.

Please understand I am not a skeptic,

This is a very hopeful book for those that have suffered losses in their life. When someone passes away, we often wonder if they are doing okay and if they can connect with us. The author happens to be a psychic medium who is able to connect with people that have passed, and has the ability to convey messages. She believes that anyone is capable of connecting with our loved ones and provides many examples and ways to do so yourself.

This is one of those books that WILL change your life...FOREVER.

If you are afraid of dying ~ read this book.
If you are wondering if our loved ones who crossed to the other side are still w/us ~ read this book.
If you are already seeing ‘signs’ & want clarification for what it means ~ read this book.

I guess my take home message for anyone reading this review right now ~ read this book — you are MEANT to read this book if you are reading my review....the universe brought you to this exact momen

Since i first heard about this book on an episode of Bitch Sesh I’ve picked it up and put it down several times. However, much like the openness of accepting signs, when I started it today I was riveted. I alternated between getting goosebumps and teary-eyes reading the stories. I think I was looking more for guidance on how to be more open to receiving signs into my own life instead of reading so much about others.

I am a bit struggling to finish this book. I just feel it’s a combinaison of different stories from different people and that’s it 🤷🏻‍♀️ Two or three stories is ok but now it seems like the whole book is small stories from many different people. The title should have been different then “signs; stories of people communicating with the other side”

This is basically a collection of stories of people connecting with the “other side.” If you already believe that is possible you don’t need to read this book. If you already believe that is not possible, reading this book won’t change your mind.

I didn’t love the author’s narration so I would recommend reading this instead of listening to it. Lots of great stories about signs from the other side as well as reminders and tips on how to harness our own intuitive abilities. My son died twelve years ago and in the early years, we felt we received many signs from him. Many people thought we had gone off the deep end but these stories made me feel validated. 3.5 stars. This book should have a trigger warning for child loss. Lots of anecdotes about tragic deaths and people’s experiences receiving signs. Some of those were compelling to me but I most enjoyed the final section that is more prescriptive about how to be open to the universe’s signs. Overall glad to have read the book. Laura Lynn is really amazing.

Worth reading if you are interested in spirituality.
It feels like a book you read at the beginning of your journey- not a bad thing!- but I was hoping for more depth.
It’s profound and tender but also repetitive. Filled with lots of stories of her mediumship, which keeps the book propelled forward but can make you feel like you’re listening to a scratched record.

I wanted to be wowed, I really did. I was not wowed. And she totally lost me when she says she received information from “the other side” that the HPV vaccine caused her daughters behavioral and medical problems. At this point not only am I not more of a believer, but I’m trying not to be less of a believer. I want to unread this book.
