Vocaloid super-idol Hatsune Miku steals the show in this all-new comic collection! The first fan creation to receive official recognition within the Vocaloid world, Hachune Miku is the small and spirited spin-off character of the famous Hatsune Miku. Equally recognizable by her long pigtails and affiliation with leeks, Hachune Miku goes on her own colorful adventures in this collection of comedic shorts.
This series is rated Teen and although it has references to pedophilia it is just a misunderstanding turned joke by the mischievous girls of he story. There is some violence but something more akin to looney toons then Naruto.
This manga is based off of the fan created Hachune Miku who is in turn based on Hatsune Miku the ever popular vocoloid. Having prior knowledge of the characters is useful but not entirely necessary as these 4 panel Koma comic will paint this strange world of vocoloids and leeks so you can enjoy or possibly run away from the madness contained in these slightly larger pages (compared to an average manga size.) I have to admit it did take a bit of time for me to read because it was often off the wall but ultimately in the end I did enjoy it and I hope you do to if you decide to give it a try, :)
My fave part (or at least most memorable) is when Hachune runs out of leeks and transforms into full sized Hatsune Miku. The only way to get her back is sticking a leek up her nose which jealous Meyko was more then happy to do for the poor dear. :)
First off, throughout the entire manga Miku and Rin were constantly calling Kaiyto a lolicon and a perv.. HES NOT A PEDOPHILE?? HES LITERALLY THE OLDER BROTHER FIGURE AND THE ENTIRE JOKE ISNT EVEN FUNNY. Could just be me, but it just wasn’t funny
So, why didn’t I just quit it and why torture myself to keep going? For the sake of my underrated queen’s existence aknowledged, Sweet Ann. AN UNDERRATED ENGLISH VOCALOID IS A MAIN CHARACTER?!??!??!
Also Neru and Haku :O
Second as to why I didn’t quit, Meyko has secret feelings for Kaiyto. I approve
Last but not least as to why I didn’t quit, I crave vocaloid content 24/7
“He’s even been known to wear a scarf with no shirt” Makes me think of that one Kaito model in project diva where he’s only in a scarf and speedo
Also the weirdo European guy was unfunny and not necessary, a very much believe the characters when they call him a perv *little edit: his name is Leon, I’m going to cry if he’s actually the vocaloid Leon and they gave him the worst design and character ever T-T*
Anyway I just didn’t like it, wouldn’t really recommend it
(Probably going to read the next volume regardless snort)
Kyuuuu… This comic is fun to me because it really is the essence of that specific time in internet weeb-dom. (Not a word! See me after class!!!) It’s not perfect by any means but it’s overflowing with thee love for fandom that everything was made with at that time and I just can’t help but find it soooooo charming… Unfortunately due to That Era there is also an abundance of pedophilia jokes. Some funny some not so funny! That was a pretty weird thing that happened but I guess it comes with the territory. Hey Otomania is like totally the guy that did the Ievan Polkka cover right? I’m in the presence of royalty? Right? I liked the use of less popular VOCALOIDs… I thought that was cute. Whoever heard of a Vocaloid fan project using SWEET ANN? Never basically. But its cute and I love it. :~) And Leon is here too... With a pretty bad design but nonetheless... Kaguamine Rin just really doesn't hit as hard as Hachune Miku.
