Very Good.
Purely as a reader, this was a great story. As a Catholic I found a couple of decisions seemed to be made without a great deal of consideration but hey, it worked for the story. I'll definitely be looking out for more in this series. ...more

So I wasn't too sure about this book. I liked the blurb. I also have a weird fascination with clergy being portrayed as gay and falling in love. It's not done correctly so often. Sometimes the sex is glossed over like in Lead Me Not, but they focused on the building of the relationship.
In this story we have Alex and Leo. Alex was not a likable character in the beginning. I liked him more in the previous book than this, at least for the beginning. Here he was very naive and pessemistic. He was s ...more

A warm cosy read. Of two childhood friends that are reunited. Alex does not believe in good and Leo is to be ordained and give his life to the Catholic Church, or that is his plan. Until he does some voluntary work where Alex volunteers. Their instant attraction is there, but so is the opposite believes in god.
They slowly work their way through the mine field of love and religion. Both changing their thinking a little as they grow closer together.

This is the first I’ve read from these authors.
It’s obvious that there was “more” between Alex and Leo when they were still children. Circumstances interfered with that budding relationship but the feelings, while sometimes forgotten, did not diminish in their hearts. Having them meet up during this trying time in both of their lives was a good choice by the authors.
With Leo, the authors showed us the questions of faith or rather, questions of a true calling. I felt that Le ...more

This is book 4 in the series. And I will say I had trouble reading this book because my views were very similar to Alex about religion because I had been burned before in the past by those considered "devout" Catholics. I pushed through to the end, I will say the authors gave this book justice to the issue being dealt with. Alex is dealing with a lot when he meets Leo again, a friend who was an alter boy with him and it brings up memories th ...more

Loved the storyline. As a fan of The Thorn Birds who wouldn't want that in a gay romance story. Not quite as dramatic, but loved it nonetheless. Other than a few minor editing errors a great story. The only negative for me was I would have like to have seen Leo's character (as the want to be priest) more developed. 3.75 rounded up to 4 well worth the read. Definitely some hot sexy man scenes.
