Delayed hope

Not an overly fast moving book, but it was good and I did enjoy it. There was a twist in the story I hadn't expected, which three a whole new line of thinking and pondering of how the ending would turn out! Cleverly done.

Lady Isabella: Ladies in Disgrace Book #1 there are four books in the series. In the first book the era is 1930 in England which follows the Stuart Family. Each Book in the series has a different story, era, and with different characters.

I was a bit concerned when I picked this book that it would be too young for me to enjoy. But no it wasn't. It was easy to be drawn into the emotions of Isabella and the lack of emotions, love and concern of her mother and father. They were stone cold rigid, especially Isabella's mother. Youthful indiscretions

Knowing little of the rules of procreation and only a tiny bit more of familial
love, Isabella makes a life changing error when the stable boy shows her admiration, affection, and desire. Learning when it's too late can be quite disconcerting, she learns all too soon.
Someone assures her that all things work out for the best. That is the only hope she can hold into. A very enjoyable read that makes you want more of this writer's books!

Baby lost, then found.

Sweet story about growing up fast. Many twists and turns throughout but a happy ending. Editing needs to be done, the first three chapters have repeated paragraphs. Overall, a predictable storyline but the historical descriptions of the area at the time was entertaining.
InD'tale Magazine

The reader immediately feels as though the story is told in a narrative style with facts of the events rather than in a story form.
