Kristen Kish’s debut cookbook is a classic – along with recipes and techniques, you can “hear” her voice resonate as she shares her stories, insights, and opinions! Still a young chef, I hope she enjoys the journey (be in the moment) and continues to share and grow in this industry and wherever life continues to take her – she deserves it! A definite shout out to her and for sharing her journey and her cooking!

I caught an episode of Lucky Chow where Kristen Kish was a guest, learning how to mak

I absolutely love cookbooks. In the last few years however, I haven't found any particular stand outs. Just nice and mediocre. That was up until Kristen Kish Cooking. It is a simply stunning, professional looking cookbook. It has everything a beginning to seasoned chef would want. Beautiful pictures of the dishes and easy to understand recipes. The book is high quality and would make a special holiday or any day gift. Kristen Kish Cooking is my favorite cookbook of 2017! ...more

This cookbook is a complete delight. The photography is stunning, the recipes are all mouth watering, and Kristen Kish's voice is ever present. She connects each dish to it's inspiration or to why she gets excited to eat it, filling the pages with food and stories - the best things in the world. ...more

I like to think that I have an affinity for cookbooks that are down-to-earth and practical; however, my collection of over 120 cookbooks recently grew to include Kristen Kish Cooking: Recipes and Techniques. I received this book from Blogging for Books, in exchange for an honest review. Since I don’t follow celebrity chefs, it was more the publisher’s blurb that enticed me to read the book rather than the author’s notoriety. After having read Naomi Pomeroy’s Taste and Technique about two years a ...more

I’m torn on this one. I love cookbooks, and I love experimenting with new recipes and expanding my skillset. I’m not an expert in the kitchen, but I like to think I’m a little more than a beginner.

I was unfamiliar with Kristen Kish prior to receiving this book from Blogging for Books in exchange for an honest review. I don’t watch Top Chef, and I’m not up to date on the contestants. However, a close friend came over and saw this on my coffee table and became very excited. So — if you know who Kr

I have to admit I did not know anything about Kristen Kish before receiving this book. But with the informative introduction I came away with an appreciation of her life and work as a chef. The book itself is beautifully presented, it's both fresh and modern with wonderful photos and interesting recipes.

If I'm honest I will say that there were some recipes that I know I will not be trying, for example the octopus the Bay Scallop Crudo or the Hamachi. But, there were others that I felt I could e

This is a great book. Kristen Kish is an amazing chef and her story is inspiring. Quite a few of the recipes are beyond my skill level, but just reading the recipe and enjoying the beautiful photography is an experience! I would love to own a copy of this book for my cookbook library.

Beautiful book and I love Kristen’s approach to food and cooking. Didn’t mark anything to make myself but thoroughly enjoyed the food-porn. 😍
