In all the years that they’ve been apart, they’ve never been able to forget each other …

A decade ago, Jason ruined everything with his best friend when he kissed him impulsively. The only logical thing to do at that point was to run away from his homophobic family and neighbors, not to mention his mistake, and build a new life for himself in a whole new state.

I couldn't go on, it was just very frustrating. It sounded lovely and that cover sucked me in hardcore. Painted such a beautiful picture but it drove me a little crazy. Too much angst when I thought I'd get a sweet, second chance story.

2 stars for the beautiful cover.

This sounded intriguing and it was only $0.99 on Amazon. While it's also on KU, I figure I'd just take a chance on a new-to-me author and purchase the book :-)! ...more

Ten years ago Jason ran away from his homophobic family and small town judging. The kicker was that he had kissed his best friend and that had been a disaster so he set off to another place. Now he has returned to Wyoming. Back to Lance with the intention of asking him to marry him.

This is a charming and thoughtful contemporary romance between two men. One who knows what he wants and one who does not and doesn’t think he is gay. The characters are well crafted and likeable, making you want them

Long lost friends reunite in the sweetest way
Jason disappeared ten years ago, after an awkward kiss with his then best friend Lance, leaving Lance hurt and confused. For ten years Lance, had wondered about Jason and that kiss, never having found anyone else to connect with, he has been content to work his ranch. Out of the blue Jason shows up with an outrageous proposition. Cornered, Lance accepts only to find out that Jason has not been entirely truthful and Lance has already fallen for him. Gr

Requires a fair bit of suspension of disbelief

I am a details person though so there were a couple of parts that made me cringe. But even with that it was a cute story and I wanted the guys to get their HEA. So not the best but still worth the read for the sweet characters.
Fake marriage trope!

Very boring though...

Ugh another insta disaster for me. I mean these two knew each other growing up but haven't seen each other in 10 years and in the span of days are getting married. Married as an arrangement but they fall in love in about a week if that and one of them is straight. He's straight throughout the whole book really (Lance) until he finally acknowledges that he's gay for just him (Jason). Didn't work, the whole thing just didn't work for me at all. Two stars because I only give 1's to books that are h ...more

i loved it. Jason coming back home to the person he trusted the most. Watching Lance learn what Jason and other gay men have had to go though. I was not overly fond of Don and wanted to give Jacob a swift kick. All in all, it was a very enjoyable read.

This was an ok story. Loved the cover. I felt bad for Lance that Jason had left him with no explained reason then jut showed back up with no contact in between.
