Gah! This books is so freaking good!! If you’re like me and fell in love with Jameson in the previous books, you’ll absolutely love him after reading this one. He is 100% BAE!Completely charming, mesmerizing, sexy, and amazing! But don’t sleep on my girl Bee. She is everything!

Here’s what I loved:

The evolution of this couple’s relationship is the primary focal point of this novel. Even with everything else going on around them, you never lose sight of what’s most important. These two characters

Ahhh!! I have been a big fan of B.B. Reid's When Rivals Play series for such a long time. For that reason I was uber excited to read the third installment in the series as Jamie and Barb have been such key players in the previous books. The Punk and The Plaything was EVERY-DAMN-THANG under the sun and more!! It was deeply emotional and passionate and such an amazing addition to the series. Reid did not pull her punches as it was filled to the brim with shady secrets and shocking revelations that ...more

JAMIE AND Bee own my heart!!! Gah, I couldn’t get enough of them or their love. And BB has upped her steam level. You aren’t ready. Jamie brings it all.

And the evolution! God, the evolution of BEE. I have a girl crush on her for real. We have only seen the surface but I’m in love with all facets of her.

And could I love this crew more. I didn’t think so, but I do. Wren and Lou, Vaughn and Tyra, Jamie’s mom. I LOVE THEM ALL.

Get ready for another amazing ride.

"...I broke like a dam and swept her away. And just before she could drown in my hate, I pulled her back again. It seemed I couldn't hate Barbette without loving her twice as hard."

GAAAAAAHHHHH!!! I've been dying for Jamie and Bette's story since the first book and I was not one bit let down by it, if anything, it was more epically complicated than I had ever imagined. The Author pulled me in to this magical cluster $%& that started so innocently and just spiraled completely off the tracks

This book had me going through every emotion known to reader kind. I wanted to throw my kindle. Punch Jamie. Slap a ho a time or 12, I smiled, I frowned, seriously I felt it all. In all honesty at times I felt a bit of redundancy in the story, but then these emotions would come from somewhere deep inside and I was reeled back into the drama, angst, teenage whoredom, a love connection that was formed at a very young age, and friendships. A lot of different feelings all at once that at times ...more

I was dying to read the story of Jamie and Bee from the first book in the series, it was one of my most anticipated of 2019 and the wait was totally worth it, the author brings her game A and gives us an story exquisitely written, steamy full of anguish, secrets and unexpected turns that left me SPEECHLESS.

I’ve been waiting for this story since The Peer and the Puppet. There was just something so captivating and interesting about Jameson and Bette.

So it’s safe to say that I read this book until the last page without stopping. I was done exactly at 2:20 am

The romance was everything I wanted. EVERYTHING. The angst too. There was a lot of angst, Barbie with her family issues, her internal battle plus her weakness for Jameson. Weakness as in she loved him so

Seriously everything you think you know about these characters and this book... forget it. BB takes these characters to a whole new level!

Bee was so much more than we have seen in past books. She is strong, confident, brave, and independent. The fact that she lost the girl she use to be, but gained her back, was a true testament to her character.

Jamie showed us just how much he could mask his true personality. He hid behind his exterior too, and getting glimpses of him being sweet and caring

Maybe hour ago I've finnished TPATP arc, and Oh Godddd!!!! My world just turned upside down - I thought, that I'm ready for this story, that I WILL SURVIVE, but damn... The Punk and the Plaything just showed that I was sooooo not ready.... that I should be smarter because it's "only" BB Reid, who will squezze in Her hand my poor trembling heart. TPATP is sinfully delicious MASTERPIECE, written at the finest! Definetely one of my favorite reading this year.

What, the ever loving fuck was that?!

Truly...I cannot believe what the hell I just read.

It makes zero sense how freaking bad this book was.

I just don't...get it. It was like I was reading a really horrible fanficition that was written by a porn director. This book was toxic af. It was problematic af. It was a cheesy porn fest. It was just...bad.

Now listen: I've always know these books were a bit problematic. And I was ok with that. I actually really, really enjoyed the first two book

B.B without a doubt SLAYED this story. I loved Every. Single. Thing about Jaime and Bee, I could not get enough. From start to finish B.B pulls you into their world and wraps you up in the sexiness that is Jaime and doesn’t let you go until the last page!! I have loved every story that she has created and this one is no exception. This is an EPIC ride of first loves and second chances. So, buckle up, have spare panties on hand and enjoy the ride that is Jaime Fucking

I am a huge B.B. Reid fan. I have read every book she has put out since I received my first ARC of Fear Me when she first started. She blows me away every damn time. Can we talk about the cover for just a hot minute?? WOWZER!! Yes this is Jamie to me.

I see love, I break love. That's what I do

The Punk and the Plaything has been a much anticipated read for me. I have been dying to read about Jamie since we were introduced to him in the The Peer and the Puppet. Let me tell you I knew that him and
“I can’t wait to make more music with you, Bette. I missed your terrible poetry.”
Stroking my fingers across his cheek, I lost myself in his brown eyes. “And I love your clumsy notes.”

As soon as I finished The Moth and the Flame a few days ago, I was super excited to finally read this one! I loved Jamie since The Peer and the Puppet, and Bee always intrigued me, although there wasn’t that much info about her yet for me to form a real opinion on her.

And, surprisingly, upon finishing this book,

B.B.Reid has enemies-to-lover romance down to a fine art. The Punk and The Plaything proves that once again. She is the queen of angsty romance. This story has the most attractive, arrogant, downright rude and completely swoonworthy alphahole hero. This story has the most damaged yet perfectly strong, sassy and resilient heroine ever. And B.B.Reid created a tragic, heartrending, steamy and jaw dropping tale between two unforgettable characters.

Pure Perfection!

Jameson John Buchanan. Barbette Elizabeth Montgomery.

So. Freaking. Perfect.

I have been waiting for this book all year, so to say that I’ve built it up in my head would be an understatement. I have loved Jamie since the moment we met in The Peer and the Puppet and while I couldn’t say I was Bee’s biggest fan—or really, a fan at all, I knew BB Reid would play me in all the right ways to get me to love this girl.

And she totally did. Absolutely, 100% totally did.
