Adria F. Klein is a sought-after educational speaker, author, and expert in literacy instruction; author of children's books; and director of a center focused on early literacy intervention at Saint Mary's College of California.
The genre of this book is contemporary realistic fiction, and is intended for children ages (P) five to eight. This book is about a little boy who takes his dog to the vet. The vet helps make the dog feel better, and Max and Buddy are both so happy! The pictures are colorful, and will catch the attention of young readers. The language used in this book are common words, and also repeated sentence patterns. This will make the book easier for a child to read. It's a cute, short little story that children could possibly relate to while reading it!
A nice easy reader although more repetition would be helpful to the beginning reader. Considered ordering but the price of this slim volume was offputting. Too bad.
