It’s been years since I’ve read a time travel romance and I was so excited to get this one. Alec and his family are in charge of protecting the Heartstone which feeds love and hope into all mankind. When they are in danger of falling under the attack of the enemy, the goddesses send them forward into time.

Sadie has never known love. Her life has been filled of insecurities and emotional abuse. Alec finagles her into his life and home having been drawn to her from the first “wee email” he rece

Okay, so my classification of this is kind of confusing, and that's because I don't know where exactly it fits. Alec is a sexy highlander, and he wears sexy kilts and lives in a North Carolina. His family has been tasked by the goddesses to protect the heart stone, which is responsible for giving humans a reason to live. Kind of cheesy, but cute. They've been thrown from the tenth century into present time so the stone can be protected, and they've creat

I really liked the premise of this and I'm a sucker for the start of a new series.

I liked Sadie and Alec. They're both passionate and stubborn and genuinely nice people. Their banter was amusing and the family dynamic was a lot of fun. I especially loved all of the older women putting then men in their places. Sadie's sister was a real hag and I wish we would have seen more of her demise.

Plot wise, it seemed like a lot of tell and not show. The thread about the druids and the heartstone didn't

I really enjoyed this one! The premise of the series is fantastic and the MacDara family is awesome! Alec was swoon worthy and just alpha enough to make me fall for him as quickly as Sadie did. Sadie was so vulnerable and fragile and I hate that she accepted the way she was treated by her sister (the horrible, lying witch) and everyone else.

In Sadie's Highlander we have a story where a family of Scots, are being attacked in medieval Scotland, and a magical force of three goddesses, saves them and send them to the future where they have to learn to live in modern times and adjust to the changes and they do with great courage. They adapt pretty well for the most part, keeping where they are really from secret from everyone except for family. Our hero Alec, is your typical Scotti

Let yourself be swept away into the Highlands!

If you love time travel romance with a touch of magic and enchantment, then I recommend SADIE’S HIGHLANDER by Maeve Greyson! If you are in the mood for a fun read with a happy ending, then this Scottish love story will leave you charmed. Ms. Greyson nicely blended her two charming characters, Alec MacDara and Sadie Williams, into a well-developed and very well-written intrigue. I have to say that this author is one of t

I always love me a kilt-wearing Scottish Highlander and I certainly would never turn Alec MacDara away. He has everything to make a lady swoon especially with his old-world charm. Sadie Williams is his ladylove in this story and I thought her character quite fun until the end of the story where I was getting a bit irritated with her. I found some of the background characters to be quite delightful and I really loved Esme. I would have liked to see a bit more of the other brothers. I did enjoy th ...more

I am voluntarily submitting my review after receiving an ARC of the ebook via NetGalley.

I am a sucker for Highland romance novels with hot, hunky alpha warriors in kilts, and this one had a promising start with a creative spin on the traditional formula. This family of mouthwatering heroes has a valourous cause, but has been transported to modern-day North Carolina to fulfill their destiny. From there, things fall apart a bit. Sadie, our downtrodden heroine, lives underneath the thumb of her sis

I have been on a Scottish Highlander kick (thanks to Outlander), when I saw this book was available for review, I knew I needed to read it.

I absolutely loved the premise of the story: time travel……but it’s not your typical time travel story.
Let’s take a HOT Scotsman who just happens to be a highlander and add in a woman who seems to be the kicking post of her sister….you get SPARKS!

I can’t wait to continue the series….hurry up 2018!!!!

Oh my, what a fabulous time travel story, this is the beginning of the Highland Protectors, a family chosen by the Goddesses to protect the ancient relic called the Heartstone. They transported the family from Scotland in the 10th century to 21st century North Carolina and to the four brothers, Alec, Ross, Grant and Ramsay MacDara, powers in the shape of artefacts to help protect it.

This is Alec's story and his artefact is the sword.

I enjoyed the camaraderie and interaction between the character

Sadie’s Highlander is the first book in the Highland Protectors series.
Sadie is a young woman with a huge inferiority complex. She was given up as a child, then fostered by less than loving people. Her foster sister was resentful and jealous and made it her goal to be nasty to Sadie, to always belittle her and make her unhappy. It’s little wonder that as an adult Sadie has no self-esteem. One thing that she does know is that she is good at is writing. Her dream is to become a successful screenpl

A Cinderella-esque romance with Scots and time-travel!

Sadie’s Highlander is book one in Maeve Greyson’s Highland Protector series. Love, laughter and magic makes this a must-read!

She was high on erotic adrenaline and fantasy overload.

Sadie Williams has big dreams of making a name for herself in screen-writing. It’s the reason she lets herself be her sister’s lackey. Her new role? Being her sister’s assistant as they shoot a highlander movie.

That changes when she meets brawny highlander, Alec Ma

I have never read a Maeve Greyson book before but it was interesting. It is a combination of historical, contemporary, magical/fantasy, Scottish, and American romance. The MacDara Clan has been guarding priceless artifacts that were given to them from the Goddesses. They want to keep the items safe so few clans in Scotland know about them. If they are stolen then the world will have no hope. Alec MacDara was born in the 11th century and he and his family mus

I have to go look at my reviews for Greyson's other books. I don't remember her other books being this disjointed or insufferable. Sadie is whiny and I didn't understand her refusal to talk to Alec. Delia is a horrendous bitch and it was never clear as to why (her parents were mean? She hated Sadie because Sadie was adopted? Idk).

All in all, this was a confusing book and idk that I want to touch the next one.

I really liked the idea of the forward type of time traveling in Sadie's Highlander by Maeve Greyson. The North Carolina setting where the Highland Games are really held in the mountain region is a big deal, so it is fitting that Highland Life park would be located there. All of that served to make this unbelievable wonderful fantasy story plausible if it could actually happen.

How Sadie Williams and Alec MacDara’s story at first seems to be seemed a new rendition of Cinderella with only one obn

First of all, apart from the initial time travelling where the MacDara family was transported to the future and occasional references to the druids, goddesses and Heartstone, the story seems like a contemporary romance.

The heroine Sadie struggles being a slave under the thumb of her wealthy adopted sister. The hero Alec is still getting used to being in the 20th century and prefers to s

Get swept away with Sadie’s Highlander written by Maeve Greyson. Some people believe that time traveling can occur and then there're those, who only believe in the known. But since this is fiction, anything can happen.
In Sadie’s Highlander, we’re introduced to an entire family that traveled years into the future to protect the sacred Heartstone. And what better cover to do this is by operating a theme park called Highland Life and Legends. Alec doesn’t have a problem with a filming crew coming

I loved this story about Sadie's Highlander. Love, love, love a Scottish man, with the bur accent, and in kilts. I am a very visual person so whilst reading this I could actually see this sexy man dressed in the Scottish attire.

Ms. Greyson’s Highland Hearts series won me over, my fellow romance book-loving friends. So I jumped at the chance to receive an ARC of Sadie’s Highlander, which is book 1 of her new Highland Protector series.
