Boomerangers [boo-muh-rang-ers] noun, informal: an adult that moves back home to live with a parent after a period of independence.

I love sex. I love the power, the intimacy, the euphoria it brings. Too bad I’m not having any . . . You’d think as New Orleans’ most renowned sex therapist that I’d be swimming in single men. In a way, I am . . . except for the fact th

Boomerangers is a hilarious and sweet second chance romance. I listened to the audio book and it literally had me laughing out loud so many times!

Spencer and Cooper were high school sweethearts until right before college when Cooper broke up with Spencer. He always thought it just wasn’t their time and they’d get back together, but then Spencer went off and got married and had children. Children that were not his. It completely gutted Cooper, but at the same time, he knows deep do

descriptionThis cover is OK. Doesn't really give you a hint to what the story is about but the couple on the cover is a good representation of the main characters in the story. The composition is good, and the typography is eye-catching.description

descriptionThis book was such a delightful little read. It was well written. Nicely paced. It was funny as hell. It had a little angst. Some feels. A fantastic cast of secondary characters. Kyle AKA Savage stole the show in this book for sure. Both main characters were likable (for

Overall Opinion: This was a cute, easy, and sexy read. I actually liked it better than I thought I would, so that's always nice! The interactions with the kids (especially the 2 year old) were hilarious! I love some good interactions with Hs and kids - and this hit the spot!! There were a few things that irked me (view spoiler), but it wasn't that much to ma

Second chance romance is not my cuppa and this couple was separated for 15 years and they both had other partners during this time. They both got married and divorced and she has 3 children. Also, as far as I have understood from the reviews I have read, we never learn why he broke up with her in the past.

This was another NTMA. I liked the book. It was funny, sweet, and a fun read.

Spencer is quite the mess when she finds out she is losing her job because the clinic she works at is closing because of a scandal. She's a single mother to 3 boys and has no choice but to pack up and move back home with her mom. On arrival she runs into her first love and high school sweetheart who broke her heart on grad night when he thought they had some growing to do apart. Cooper is recently divorced an

Nice way to describe the love of your life's kids

"Spencer is hotter than ever. But, I can’t look at her without seeing those kids. Three. Fucking. Kids. I half expect one of ’em to pop up at any moment, demanding her attention. Leeches."

I’m on a parent binge and trying new authors. Don’t judge a book by it’s cover. For some reason I feel like the cover didn’t match the book. Sure the book was light-hearted but it wasn’t like LOL funny, but anyhow, it was overall cute. There was some steam, but it wasn’t the focal point of the story. I kind of wished it was! But the book was adorable.

Spencer is a single mama to three kids to two different dads. I know. I judge too. But she’s doing the best she can do. Sure the

-A different kind of romance with different kind of heroine and hero. While Ms. Orgeron’s writing is new to me, I’ll admit I had an image of how this book was going to go, especially when the blurb puts an emphasis on Spencer being a sex therapist. When Spencer and Cooper end up moving back to their hometown (hence being the Boomerangers), sparks fly, old feelings are rekindled

What a FUNNY book! I love how the story not only involves a romance between two childhood sweethearts but the fact that their families play a HUGE role in the story as well. That includes the Spencer's 3 children, and the parents of both Spencer and Pooper (I mean Cooper). I don't think this book would have functioned well without all of the secondary characters involvement and am so glad H

I kind of read this out of order even though they're both standalones. In Boomerangers we get Spencer and Cooper's story. Once again the humor was there, the kids were hilarious and so were Cooper and Spencer. I really enjoyed this story! ...more

I have never read this author before and by golly am I missing out.

This book is so much everything. I loved them all. I loved the writing and the way the author drags you in and you just felt everything, from the happiness to the heartbreak and back. The pacing was spot on, and I felt like I was right there with them all. I was invested from the first word until the last. This is again hands down one of the best second chance romances I have ever read. It will make you l

"Be brave with me, Spence.”

Well, that was hella fun. One of my favorite types of tropes in books are musicians and childhood sweethearts. This is definitely the latter and from the very first page, I was taken away to a story that was funny, romantic, charming, and heartfelt. The two main characters have known each other their whole entire lives. Growing up together in diapers, going through the awkward stages of adolescence, first love, and eventually first heartbreak. This is also a second cha

Heather M. Orgeron’s Boomerangers is a hoot! From the beginning of the book till the end, and I mean to the very end, this book has you laughing until you cry. A second chance romance with well crafted characters, Ms. Orgeron has written a truly astounding story that has all the feels as well as the humor.

When I read the blurb for this book I immediately one-clicked. However, it felt a little shy of my expectations. I expected a bit more maturity from a sex therapist but Spencer came across more like a college-ages girl and less like a 33 year old mother of 3.
The story seemed to be more about making the kids fit into the romance between Spence and Cooper than it was about the two of them building a relationship. Which makes sense considering they both never really fell out of love with each othe

I laughed out loud...a lot!!! I cried because of the emotional overload. Gah...I LOVED SPENCE AND COOP!!! Incredible characters and a second chance love story you won’t ever forget.

They fell in love in high school. She thought it was forever, until he cut her loose and broke her heart. Their living apart was never supposed to be forever.

Spencer and Cooper have a history. And, 15 years later, a couple of meddling parents decide to see what they can do to bring the history into the present.

I liked the idea of this book a lot. The second chance with 2 adults who were tossed back into a situation that wassimilar to when they were together.

Unfortunately, this really didn't end up to be what the book was about. Cooper is in love with Spencer, in fact has never gotten over her, even th

This book was downright freaking hilarious. I cried from laughing so hard and I’ll admit, it pulled at my heartstrings. I cried for those boys but that’s because I’m a momma bear myself so that little Kyle had me like awwwwwe. The stuff that came out of that kid’s mouth had me rolling.

All the characters in this book were just amazing. Coming from the South, I could totally relate to them all. In my mind I was reading the dialogue in my thick country accent; so much so, I reverted back to my cou

What a terrific RomCom. I must say this book had me in stitches and I may never look at another child in diapers the same way ever again, but it is also a very touching story. The author has done an amazing job of writing a storyline you can not only relate to but the characters are funny and so realistic that they seem like family.

The title is very accurate. This is a story about 2 former childhood sweethearts, that after going their separate ways for the past 15 years, now have to move back h

Awww this story was a bit of a cutesy, funny, sexy, second chance romance. Cooper and Spencer were high school sweethearts until right as they were leaving for college, Cooper broke Spencer’s heart and told her they needed a break.

Fifteen years later, Spence is living in New Orleans with her 3 children; 12 year old twins Lake and Landon, and 2 year old Kyle. The twins father is flaky at best but does occasionally see the boys, whereas Kyle’s dad right from the begin

This was a fun, fast paced, didn't want to put it down book. I truly enjoyed the banter between Spencer and Cooper. Trying to rebuild what was once lost and given a second chance. It had me laughing and swooning and WTFing through the book. Truly this book made me happy. Also I need a little baby Kyle in my life.

I highly recommend this book if you want to laugh out load, spit your drink out, snort so unladylike but to also swoon your panties off.

Oh my gosh! I'm in love with this book!!! Such a beautiful, funny, heart tugging second chance love story. This is the story of Spencer, a sex therapist, and Cooper, a small town attorney.
