When Caleb Smith saved Francesca Hamilton from a nasty situation with her father, she was beyond grateful. Sure, it landed her in Caleb's bed wearing his engagement ring, but neither of them took that seriously. It was a means to an end, and he was so sexy and exciting, she was enjoying the ride. It wasn’t Caleb's fault her feelings were changing, leaving her wishing things between them were real rather than pretend.
Caleb took the FBI’s assignment because he wanted to end the tyranny of a man who’d hurt the people he loved. Odds of success were slim and the danger high, but he knew the risks. Francesca didn't and was completely in the dark about her family’s "business." And the more time he spends with her, the harder he falls for the gorgeous blonde. But to finally get retribution, he'll have to destroy her world...
Born in Cambridge, Massachusetts. My Boston accent worsens the deeper south I move. Eight books published. One short story. Currently, I am a PhD student at FSU in the LMC English program. I teach there as a TA, too. You can find me at krisrafferty.com.
This cover model dude sure gets around. I believe it is the same guy as on the RIPPLE EFFECT covers! Anywho, this is a great cover in my opinion. A good representation of the story within. It's eye-catching and with fairly good composition. I do not completely love the placement of the title. It feels a bit "off" somehow to me. The typography is interesting though.
Meh...this one was OK for me. There wasn't anything wrong with it per se. I just don't particularly like the whole "I am going to seduce you as a means to an end" trope. Mostly because I spend the entire book with a knot in my stomach feeling bad for the party in the dark.
In this book that scenario lasted for 90% of the plot. Alas, the longer it went on and as more and more people became involved. Francesca's remaining in the dark about Caleb using her and (EVERYTHING else under the sun) had the unfortunate effect of me feeling like she was an idiot. It also turned me off of Caleb and his friends. And because she doesn't find out everything until WAY late in the book the ending felt rushed to me. Caleb certainly needed to do a hell of a lot more groveling in my opinion.
So ya, I didn't love it. I still think this author can write a great book and there was twists and turns and action galore. So it's worth a read for that alone.
Caleb Smith is a man of certain capabilities who inserts himself into the Hamilton family's life because he is looking to get a working contract for his cyber-security firm. He wants to get in with Jonathan Hamilton, through a connection to his daughter. He spends a week interviewing, but he ends up finding more than he bargained for. Instead of just seeking out a job, and an in, he ends up finding Francesca Hamilton. The daughter of the international billionaire tycoon, and maybe even a little corrupt, Jonathan Hamilton. Not only that, but she's beautiful, and different than any other woman he's ever met.
We start this story off at a celebration of sorts for Francesca's success. Little does she know the party is for so much more. Caleb is torn because the bit he's gotten to know Francesca he really likes her, and knows she deserves more than the secrets and lies she's lived her entire life with. All I can really say is that things don't go quite as Caleb planned at the party, and he ends up inserted way deeper into the Hamilton's lives than he anticipated.
Oh did I fail to mention Caleb is actually on a mission for the FBI, and even though his feelings for Francesca are real he's still lying to her and everyone else. He doesn't know who to trust, what's actually going on, but he rolls with it.
This story is full of twists and turns and kept me on the edge of my seat. Just when I would think I had things figured out, it would all change and new layers would be added to the story. I enjoyed Caleb and Francesca's little romance, but at some points it got frustrating that she couldn't figure out things that felt pretty obvious. It was clear Caleb wasn't exactly who he said he was, and that her dad's company wasn't all sunshine and roses, but she was still clueless for most of the story.
I liked that some of the characters were tie ins from other stories, but this one still stood alone. I wish this had been marked as a series though so could have read the first two first and known those characters stories. I feel like this story was extremely well written and interesting. It was written in third person, which I'm usually not a big fan of, but it worked for me in this instance.
There was suspense, romance, naughty bits, and some action. If you enjoy books with that combo, then Seduced by Sin is for you!
I love taking a chance on a new author and being pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed this story. You've got a spy, a criminal, a good guy who's bad, all rolled into one as our sexy Hero. He's set on bringing down the mastermind to an extortion ring and is unprepared to find a sweet and innocent women in the middle of it all.
It starts out rocky. You can't help but be angry on Francesca's behalf. She's thrown against Caleb, not by choice, but she's been intrigued by him since the beginning. She knows they have to fake it for a main goal that don't match the other and you see them both struggling to keep it real. As much as I want to be angry at Caleb, I can't be. He's good to and for Francesca despite his end goal of walking away.
I loved watching this play out and I liked that it wasn't predictable. Great read and I look forward to more from this author. ARC provided by NetGalley.
Caleb is your typical unlikely hero; reformed bad boy working undercover to bring down a larger than life crime boss. Caleb’s intensity he brings to the case adds to his tall, dark, dangerous side that’s luring Francesca to him. The undeniable pull between the pair is quick to ignite into nights of passion followed by days of confusion and purposeful misleading. Francesca seals their fate by accepting Caleb’s proposal. Caleb’s take-charge personality did a great job of balancing out Francesca’s wishy-washy approached to her father. She talks a great game but only in the last couple of chapters did I really see her take a stand, demanding answers from her father. It’s easy to portray her as a naïve, pampered princess with her personal driver and bodyguards, almost too easy. The secrecy and lies are too much for her to continuously believe foul play was not involved; to say her character was easily manipulated would be an understatement.
Ms. Raffertys’ novel pulled me into the pages fairly quick, I had to know what happened, how Caleb could save the day and still get the girl. Her supporting characters were perfect; they added to the story while providing enough intrigue to make me search for their stories. There were some small things that popped up making me question the research done in preparation for the novel. The questions were small and not relatable to the plot. Overall, it is a very fast paced novel, lots of action, lots of seduction, plot twists and an explosive ending.
Wow! This book was like free falling! It was pretty fast paced, suspenseful, and smoking hot! Kris Rafferty does an extremely great job of weaving a tale whose twists and turns had me guessing who was good and who was bad, the entire time! This book went over and above a typical romantic suspense novel and I thoroughly loved it!
Caleb, what a huge, smoking hot man! He comes to Francesca's engagement party. It's been pre-arranged by her dying billionaire of a father, whose choice will ultimately take over his business and provide protection for Francesca. Francesca is the prize-only she wants nothing to do with it! Arranged marriages are so archaic! She's a book smart girl-a psychologist working with inner city kids, but she doesn't seem to have street smarts. She is only home because her father is dying and she had hopes of forging some kind of relationship with him. Wrong. He tolerates her at best, and purposefully keeps her in the dark about what he's really all about.
Caleb unwittingly signs up for the husband position, and they engage in a seductive relationship with a time limit. Their fake relationship is an means to the end, but those lines blur as their chemistry is off the charts! She has no clue Caleb is really undercover and the feds want Daddy's business ledger to prove his criminal activity. She is naïve about her father and his business. Caleb is torn. He likes her and craves her like no other, but knows he's going to hurt her in the end, and doesn't like the feeling of that. He is a smart man. He's trying to figure out Daddy's game plan too. Is he really dying? Is he the one being manipulated??
I liked how the story progresses and the author lets a bit of info drop here and there, that you honestly are along for the ride! You have no idea whose pulling the strings here! You have a lot of frantic page turning and holding of your breath, as you have to find out what happens next! When the ending is upon us and things are revealed, who was manipulating who?? Who will survive and who will perish??
If romantic suspense is your thing, Seduced by Sin is one not to be missed! The story is so well written, and twisted, and sexy, and, and, and! An amazing, edge of your seat book I think you definitely need to read!
4.5 Stars/4 Flames
This book was gifted to me by the Jeep Diva for an honest review. The review and ratings are solely my opinions.
Reading this was like jumping off a cliff with no tether. The story was fast paced, ever changing, totally freaking hot and the suspense gave me palpitations. So cleverly woven, who is the man behind the curtain pulling the strings. Don't let that title fool you.
Caleb, I could only visualize this over the top piece of man, who sets about to wait out his time with Francesca. It's her engagement party. Prearranged by her dying business mogul father, who is set to pick a man for her to marry to carry on his business. Francesca is no wilting flower, she's a psychologist, waiting to start a teaching job at Harvard, works with at risk inner city kids and only home because her father is dying. They have no relationship at all. At best he tolerates her. She knows that. She is absolutely opposed to this arranged marriage crap.
The party carries on as she and Caleb slip away up to her room where they finish business. These two engaged in mutual seduction. Wasn't one sided. Their chemistry was off the charts. What she doesn't know it seems is that Caleb is there undercover, the FBI wants her fathers ledger to prove what a sick criminal her really is. Daughter dear is clueless. These two grow close quickly and listening to Caleb waffle in his head about her was great. So attracted to her, yet doesn't want to hurt her.
During the party things take a major swing and Caleb now finds himself as the groom to be. Francesca is barely tolerating the arranged thing, but it's their relationship (read hot freaking sex) these two can't keep their hands off each other, that binds them. Caleb keeps reassuring her that it will all work out.
This story has so many twists and turns with some minor characters coming into play, you honestly didn't know who was what and who was pulling the strings and also enter people from Caleb's past. Good people. When a ghost from the past enters the story, it puts a whole new spin on things. From that point on it's a guessing game. You have to read and wait, and wait and wait. Lots of breath holding. Wait, what? Why is she there? Who manipulated who and who will survive this human chess game.
What a tale Kris has crafted here. Amazing and held my attention the entire book through, you do not want to miss this one. The plot is insanely good, twisted, the sex is raw and panty melting and the suspense will turn your knuckles white. This one is not to be missed. Incredible book Kris! I loved it! The cover is smoking'!! I don't say that about too many books.
**arc from NetGalley and Entangled in exchange for a fair review**
This was a pretty good read for me although I do think I would have enjoyed it even more if I had read the prior books in the series. The writing is excellent, the characters are well done and likeable for the most part. There is a steamy romance between Caleb and Francesca with a bit of mystery and suspense thrown. The story takes lots of twists and turns which keep you on the edge of your seat. Definitely one I will be recommending.
Seduced By Sin is sexy, suspenseful and full of action and intrigue. Caleb is a bad guy turned good working undercover for the FBI to bring down a crime lord. In order to take down said crime lord, Caleb targets his daughter and deliberately sets out to get in good with her at her engagement party. Yep, engagement party, but not one she's aware of. Her father has set up an arranged marriage for her and the men who are "bidding" to take their place as her husband and her father's successor are all at the party.
The heat between Caleb and Francesca is scorching hot and the relationship they fall into will keep you on the edge of your seat. She has no idea he's using her and lying to her, or that he's undercover. Just as she has no idea who her father really is. She is a little too naive for my taste, but she's smart and smart heroines are something I always appreciate. Caleb is an interesting guy. He's tough and not used to communicating his feelings, indeed, he doesn't seem to have many, other than a need for vengeance and doing the right thing. So, his feelings for Francesca are inconvenient for a man trying to do his job. And knowing he will only end up hurting her when the truth comes out is not easy for him. I do like how out of his element he seems to be at the end, but I think Francesca forgives him a little too easily. She should have made him grovel, A LOT, then maybe, just maybe, she could have forgiven him and taken him back.
If you like romantic suspense, especially steamy romantic suspense, I highly recommend you pick up Seduced By Sin now.
I received an ARC through NetGalley for an honest review.
My Review: Who could resist a hero with angel wings tattooed on his chest? This is another one of those "bad boys who cleans up well works for the law comes in undercover to take down the pretty lady's daddy" books. Pretty lady is really intelligent but oblivious to her daddy's true line of work. Bad boy gets in good with Pretty lady's daddy. Bad boy and Pretty lady fall for each other. And then someone tells the truth and it all starts to fall apart.
Yes, it's a formula. But it's one that works. And it works in this story quite well. While there are danger and excitement, there is also an element of amusement throughout the whole book because you know it will all work out in the end. It's always fun to see how this formula works, to see her rake him across the coals and hang him out to dry before she forgives him for wrecking her life and lets him kiss her again.
While the book runs true to formula, it's still a fun story with its own twists and turns. Enough thugs and threats to make it dangerous and keep Bad boy on his toes. And when it all falls apart and Pretty lady won't have anything to do with Bad boy, she finishes her advanced degree and starts teaching college biology. She's pretty, but she's not just a pretty face! Since this hits the shelves today, Monday, March 20, 2017, you should stop at your favorite book source and pick up a copy to find out how Bad boy convinces Pretty lady to forgive him! I highly recommend it. This is a couple with great chemistry! I gave it FIVE stars for fun!

Another hit read! This is my 2nd read in this series and after reading about Caleb in the last book I could not wait to read his story. I have to admit that I have not read the 1st book in this series, Betrayed by a Kiss, which is Marnie and Dane's story where we are first introduced to Caleb, however having read Tempted by a Touch, I was intrigued with the man whose throat was butchered and talked with a raspy voice. He did not disappoint! I found Caleb intense and the love he had for Francesca, though all under the guise of obtaining information, fascinating. The sex scenes were so freaking hot! Damn that Caleb Smith! So AWESOME! This was a great read with past characters making an appearance, helping Caleb to solve the case. Action and suspense wrapped it up nicely. In the end Francesca and Caleb get there HEA! ***ARC provided thru NetGalley in exchange for an honest review***
I love it when some suspense is included in a hot romance and this one did not disappoint. The story starts out by ramping up the anticipation factor and heat between Caleb and Francesca and never stops through the entire book.
With plenty of twists and turns in the book, it is hard to remember that Caleb is one of the good guys, or is he? A natural protector, he finds himself in several precarious positions which leaves you wondering where the story is headed.
One thing you don't have to worry about is the amazing heat level between the two. Caleb is super sexy and honestly, I would love to have one like him all for myself! YUM!
The author brings us a steamy story with plenty of action and suspense that makes you shut out the world and just read. Definitely a winner and an author I need to see more often!
Caleb is many things and one of those is an undercover agent for the FBI since his recruitment after high school. Currently, his mission is to find a ledger of Jonathan Hamilton's which will provide the evidence needed to put him away for his many crimes. His orders include getting close by any means necessary, which places Francesca, Hamilton's daughter, as a target to be used.
Francesca, a psychologist, has distanced herself from her Dad for the majority of her life and has no knowledge of his business, nor the fact that he's sort of evil. She does know he seems to have no true affection for her and has no problem acknowledging her only when she's useful to him. Such is the case now as the party supposedly to celebrate her accomplishments is truly a part of her Dad's plan to marry her off to someone he deems suitable to take over his company after his death, which is swiftly approaching, and that offer requires the "winning candidate" to wed Francesca.
When Francesca learns of this, not to mention the person chosen, she refuses. She wants to marry one time only and it will be for love. Caleb, the man she's been sending, and receiving flirtatious looks from, for a week, doesn't seem happy by this development either. Within the past hour they've finally acted upon the chemistry sizzling between them and have agreed that kisses weren't enough, they want more.
Caleb, though he'd decided against seducing Francesca for professional gain, fully intends to be with her simply because he can't resist the explosive connection they seem to share. When Hamilton informs Francesca of her pending engagement, and Caleb can't stand the thought of the man chosen touching her, he shocks himself by staking his claim and stating his intention to marry her.
As Caleb and Francesca decide to play along as if they're truly marrying, they spend numerous hours together and yes, the sex between them is intense and hot. They can't get enough of each other. The problem? Francesca is quickly developing feelings for her fake fiance and it hurts when it seems as if he's still pretending, biding his time until they can end their "engagement."
Caleb hates that he's still essentially using Francesca, though he admittedly loves the closeness they share. He knows when she learns the truth of who and what he and her Dad are, she'll be devastated. But he can't stop being with her. She's gotten under his skin and the thought of not being with her any longer makes his heart ache.
"How am I going to leave her? As soon as the thought popped into his head, he knew. He'd leave her devastated...by his lies and betrayal." - Caleb
What happens when Caleb's real life crosses paths with his undercover one? What about when the fake relationship begins feeling real? Who is behind the attempt on Francesca? Is it connected to her Dad or Caleb? Can Caleb keep her safe? Is the man Francesca fell for the real Caleb? Or is she in love with one that never truly existed? How far will Caleb go to ensure his mission is complete? Is it worth losing Francesca, hurting her, to accomplish his goal? Can Caleb prove his feelings foe Francesca were never fake? When Francesca learns the truth, can she ever trust Caleb again? Can they have a HEA?
One-click now and follow along as two people, brought together by lies, discover a love that couldn't be more real. Please keep in mind this is book three in the series and though this could be read as a standalone, I highly recommend reading them in order as references to the previous stories are included in this one and you may feel slightly lost without knowing the full back story.
**I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.**
This story was not at all what I was expecting. I've read a lot of undercover romances but the characters in Seduced by Sin were unique and definitely didn't follow the norm.
Francesca is the only child of Jonathan Hamilton. When her powerful father finds out he is dying, in order to protect his life's work, he plans to marry her off to a man who can prove his successor. Francesca was definitely an innocent in this, she was a girl who was never alone but always lonely. With a father who never had time for her, Francesca finally sees this as a chance to grew closer to her only living family.
Caleb, a powerful guy in his own right isn't all that he seems and like her father, he seems to have just as many secrets. Caleb knows who Jonathan Hamilton really is and he's been placed by the FBI to find enough evidence to bring Hamilton down. Francesca, with her sweet naivety wasn't supposed to be this embroiled in the investigation but when outside forces put her in danger Caleb takes advantage of the opportunity given.
This was a suspenseful read with a lot of cat and mouse antics that left me guessing where it was all leading to, up till the very end. It was exhilarating and dramatic and very cut throat. I would recommend it if you like dark mysteries with danger and schemes and hidden plots. The romance was a nice touch and I liked both Francesca and Caleb.
Caleb was a complex guy, he was methodical in his thinking and was very good at playing the emotionally detached operative but when his walls came down and the real Caleb emerged you saw just how deeply he cared. You see when he thinks of Marnie and you definitely get it every time he finds himself contemplating or second guessing his mission because of his feelings for Francesca.
He was evenly matched with Francesca, she was someone so much like him but also so different, and he wanted to protect her. And although it was hard to believe that even someone so genuinely in the dark didn't have even a speck of suspicion or doubt regarding her father's dealing, Francesca was a pretty strong female lead. She might have been highly clueless at times but when it came to her beliefs and her conviction, she had a steel backbone.
The writing was strong and the story flowed easily. I would have liked knowing Caleb and Francesca's ages well before the almost 70% mark just because I like to know these things about the MCs and it helped explain away some of Francesca's thoughts and actions. The sexy times were hot and explosive, these two had great chemistry. The ending felt a tad rushed but it was sweet and ended with a HEA.
Favorite Lines: Soon, Francesca would discover she'd been living a lie, and it would change her, so this version of her had an expiration. He studied her beautiful face, seeing her worry, and knew he'd miss this version. Yeah she was window dressing for a father who used her as a pawn, a twice-degreed Ivy Leaguer relegated to heir-making, oblivious to her father's alternate identity as kingpin of a global extortion ring, but . . . this version was untouched by corruption. This version could love him.
"You accepted me - someone feared, obeyed, but never loved. Well, I want to belong, too. To you."<
Safety: I considered it safe. Neither MC is a virgin, there is no cheating, OM/OW drama, and does have one trigger - Deception. Caleb lies about who and what he really is to Francesca for a majority of the story. Doesn't have an epilogue but a nice full circle ending.
Caleb Smith will do anything to succeed in his mission of taking down Francesca Hamilton's father, even if it means seducing her in hopes of securing her help. Except Francesca doesn't know anything about her father's 'business' dealings, and the longer Caleb stays in the game determined to complete his mission, the more dangerous things become for both he and Francesca. Can he keep her safe and win Francesca's heart, or will the secrets he's keeping when discovered tear them apart?
Although I haven't read the other books of this series, I absolutely loved this story, because of the astonishing plot twists that had me on the edge-of-my-seat with worry for both the main characters safety. Would Caleb be able to protect Francesca? Would the heroine finally win the love of her father? The way this story started set the fast-pace of this book, as Caleb desperately needs Francesca, if he's to have any chance of succeeding. How far is the hero willing to go? Will he be the man who wins her when her father demands her to do something she doesn't want to do, so that she can continue to live her life the way she is, instead of having to run the family company?
Both the main characters had me hooked by their back stories, all that they go through on their journey to happy ever after and their growing relationship. Dangerous times call for desperate measures, and making sure Francesca is safe and securing her help has to be done, even if Caleb has to declare himself in the running for what her father demands of her. However, secrets have a way of coming out and it made me feel sorry for Francesca, because even though her father doesn't treat her like a father should treat his daughter, she still believes him to be a good man.
Francesca is strong and brave by the way she stands up for herself, even if it doesn't seem she's getting through to the people she wants to such as her father and Caleb. She's also kind, caring, and I liked how determined she was to help people that needed her in her job as a clinical psychologist. Yet, what I liked most about the heroine was how she strives for her independence and that she can still manage to find moments to tease Caleb, even though she has some niggling feeling that there's something he's not telling her. While Caleb, he has his reasons for keeping his identity to himself, as it could not only get him killed but could also put the heroine's life in danger, which it does by what happens to her, knowing she's his weakness. Also, I liked how he takes charge when things go awry, as it goes to show he'll do anything to protect those he cares about.
Overall, Ms. Rafferty has penned a wild ride in this story, which kept me entertained with all the danger Caleb and Francesca face as well as their romance, which showcased their intense chemistry with plenty of fervor. The way this story ended was pulse-pounding and had me reading really quickly, wanting to know what would happen to Caleb and Francesca. Would Caleb's secrets put Francesca in more danger than she was already in because of her father? However, it was the last chapter that wrapped this story up perfectly, because Caleb had his work cut out for him to win Francesca back. Luckily, he knows just the right things to say. I would recommend Seduced by Sin by Kris Rafferty, if you enjoy romantic suspense, the fake relationship trope, or books by authors Laura Griffin, Cate Beauman, or Lena Diaz.
Francesca didn't and was completely in the dark about her family’s "business." And the more time he spends with her, the harder he falls for the gorgeous blond. But to finally get retribution, he'll have to destroy her world...
Review:
Full of suspense and twist and turns, plus a smoking romance...that is what you get when you read this book.
I did feel a little bad for Francesca being used as a pawn and then kept in the dark for most of the book while everyone is jockeying to be in charge. I wanted to mad at Caleb, he really could have given the poor girl and little more clue about him and what was really going on. He did redeem himself to me because I could see that her cared for her even if the way he went about it was kind of crappy. There is a lot of chemistry between Caleb and Francesca that sometimes get in the way of their better judgment, I mean they both almost get blown up for goodness sake. The intimate scenes are written very well and are super hot. Again, as for the twist and turns, I was completely thrown off a few times as to what was the end goal. Through all the action in the book the ending is very sweet and left me on a happy high. I know this is the third book in the series and I have not read the others but I was not confused at all by reading out of order.
Great story from this new-to-me Author.

*I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book provided by the publisher.*
I thought this was a great read full of suspense and action. I really liked the characters but do feel I would have enjoyed it more if I had read the prior books. The author does say it is best to read them in order but I found this on Netgallery and wanted to give the author a try since I had not read any of her work. I thought this was a good read with a great plot and well worth my times.
There are so many twists in this book from Caleb trying to protect Francesca will he be able to keep her safe to her father and all the things she has to deal with. It is sad when your father is the one you need protecting from. Father is a father a daughter should always be daddies little girl. I was kept on pens and needles waiting to see if their relationship would ever be worked out. I loved the twists and turns that really kept me on the edge Caleb has his own agenda and need Francesca’s help to pull it off bring down the man who hurt those he love. It was a very exciting read pull of passion and lots of chemistry.
I thought the author did a wonderful job in laying out the plot to hook the reader. She gives you wonderful characters it is hard not to fall in love with. I had no trouble feeling the emotions of each character and all they were going through. It was well worth my time, I found a new author that I want to know more about. *********************
Quick note: Seduced By Sin could definitely be read as a standalone but I highly recommend you go back and read Betrayed By A Kiss and Tempted By A Touch first. Not only are they incredible books but they also lay the foundation to the characters and the world you're about to dive into.
Then after you've read those two books - you'll be exactly where I was when Seduced By Sin hit my device. Pumped. I was wicked psyched to get my hands on all the hotness that is Caleb.
Basically, Caleb's life and career is like a long con. His secrets and truths don't normally haunt him, but after he meets Francesca it all changes. He finds himself consumed with her and with trying to resolve has his current mission - otherwise known as taking down Francesca's father.
This story adds was the perfect addiction to this series thanks to the hella exciting and addictive plot. Right from the first few pages I was hooked on Caleb and Francesca. Their chemistry and interactions drew me in - I devoured scene after scene because I could not get enough of their drama. Their lives are tantalizing and suspenseful.
I thought Seduced by Sin's plot was an awesome and I thoroughly enjoyed how the story played out. I loved Caleb and Francesca as well as all of the sub-characters. They were smart, sexy group that captivated me and honestly, I hope the author finds more adventures for them.
So my recommendation is that you don't miss out on fabulous characters and excellent storylines. Start reading the Unlikely Heroes series tonight!
i voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book
Caleb Smith is one HOT sexy alpha male, He is waiting to see if he has a deal with Hamilton for a security deal. Caleb knows that Hamilton is corrupt Caleb took the FBI’s assignment because he wanted to end the tyranny of a man who’d hurt the people he loved, he needs to find a specific journal and hand it over to the FBI. He will stop at nothing to find this journal and has already decided that Francesca Hamilton will help him with this job, She really has no idea who her father really is.
Francesca Hamilton is a school teacher who has no idea that her father has decided that since he is dying he is going to find her a suitable husband that will be capable to run his company. When Caleb and Francesca get engaged they both know it is a farce but Francesca starts having real feelings for Caleb and he her. Will he still have her after he destroys everything she knows. This was a GREAT book I highly recommend it.
Francesca is unaware of just what her father has been upto. But she gets a rude awakening when he tries to make her the prize in an elite version of arranged marriage! He wants her safe and in his old school mind that means married. He's picked the candidates, she just has to pick "the winner"!
Caleb is rough around the edges and attempting to hide his shady past. He has managed to get within the old man's inner circle but he did not count on naive, sexy as heck, Francesca. She may be rebelling against daddy by working in the ghetto but she still resides in the lap of luxury. Caleb suddenly finds himself front and centre in the Bachelorette game and somehow manages to get himself engaged to Francesca. it's all supposed to be a sham but can he keep his heart out of the arrangement??
The plot is a real twisty one and you really ricochet from one possible theory to another. Francesca is sooo naive but she she is not dumb. She can stand up for the downtrodden, just not herself!! Caleb is haunted by his past and would do anything for his little found family of friends. Even the law enforcement type his best friend has found herself shackled too! There are skeletons all over the place, not just in the cupboard.
The passion is palpable between Caleb and Francesca and I loved all the flame hot interludes!

It's the first book that I read from this author and I really enjoyed it. Even though is book 3 of a series, you can read it as a stand alone. It's a story that contains a bit of everything: action, suspense, sex and love. As you are reading the story you get to know the characters better and, in my case, loving them cause they are evolving as the story precedes. There are some pretty steamy scenes in the book but the author did a good job in making them sexy and not vulgar. The pace of the story increase as we get into an action packed section and there I couldn't stop reading. A well written story and I'm happy I've got the chance to discover a new author I look forward to read more from.
Seduced By Sin, the third book in the Unlikely Hero series was awesome and gives us some closure finally. Seduced By Sin, could be read as a stand alone, but I think would have a better effect read in order since they each have the same characters and the plots are kind of connecting. Caleb is the haunted bad boy that Francesca feels the need to help. Not knowing how much danger she is in since she's pretty much left in the dark by everyone. Caleb can't help but fall hard for Francesca. He knows that he'll end up hurting her and is unable to stop it from happening. This book is full of steamy romance and kick ass suspense.
The first time I've read a Kris Rafferty book and I have to say I LOVED this. It hooked me in from the very start. The mystery and suspense worked in with the deceit and a touch of romance was totally entertaining. The twists and turns had me wondering the whole time how the story would end and who was good and who was bad. The action was fast paced and the characters were a great mix too. Thoroughly enjoyed this book from start to finish.
I enjoyed Seduced By Sin which was written by Kris Rafferty. It had a good combination of romance and action and the story is able to pull you in from the beginning. Even though he's walked on both sides of the law, at his core Caleb is a very strong, good person who just wants to do the right thing. Throughout the book you can see his struggle with the thoughts of betraying Francesca. I have to say though that I didn't like Francesca as much as I liked Caleb. While she's a sweet girl and wants to be independent she's extremely naive, almost to the point that it's not really believable. However that really is the only negative thing I can say about this book. It moved along at a good pace and had a couple of twists toward the end that I can honestly say I wasn't expecting. If you're looking for romance and some action I would recommend this book.
This was an enjoyable story, although it did take me a while to get into it. As I've not read any of the previous stories in this series and that did make a difference. Also I struggled because from the first chapter you are thrown straight into the story without knowing who the characters are. However after about a quarter of the book had passed I did feel like I had a grip on what was actually going on and that was when I was really drawn into it
Yet I did think it was maybe a little too long and it didn't necessarily have as much action or suspense as I was expecting. But the two main characters Caleb and Francesca were both likable. They certainly kept me guessing as to who was seducing whom. Plus they shared a spark and had plenty of hot moments, which were spread throughout this entire story.
Overall though I did think it was a good, engaging story and it's one I would recommend to others. Although I would definitely advise reading the previous stories first and do wish I had done that myself.

Caleb and Francesca had great chemistry and both were very likable. Well, Caleb was a little shady but he did redeem himself, and Francesca did come off a little......naive.
This book has some action, some sexy scenes and full of suspense. I was hooked from the first chapter and was on the edge of my seat to see what happens next. This is the third book from the series, but the first one I have read. I will definitely add books 1 & 2 to my TBR List.
It's a little dirty, gritty, angsty, and passionate. This book has action and sexiness bundle inside.
It will have you glued to your reading device never wanting it to end.
I loved watching this play out and I liked that it wasn't predictable. Great read and I look forward to more from this author. ARC provided by NetGalley.
WOW! This story is full of deception, danger, romance. I love these kinds of books. The story is fast paced and is freaking HOT!! I loved the chemistry between Caleb and Francesca, it was off the charts and it was not just a one sided seduction which made it even hotter! This story has lots of twists that really kept me on my toes.... Trying to figure out who is behind everything, all the hot seduction and suspense! Just WOW!!! This is my first book by this author but it definitely will not be my last
