Marrying for Life: Reflecting the Love of Christ and His Bride

Rate this book
God created the institution of marriage as a picture of the relationship between Christ and His church. God intended the one flesh union of husband and wife to be a life-long covenant. This book explores how the Christian single should engage with modesty in the quest for a life's mate. Then it explores the calling of husband and wife in the marriage relationship. A chapter looks at how husbands and wives must love Christ more than earthly possessions. The last three chapters examine Jesus' radical teaching on the permanence of the marriage bond, how John the Baptist denounced Herod's unrighteous divorce and unlawful remarriage, and how Jesus condemns remarriage after divorce without giving any exceptions.
