I was lucky enough to receive an early copy of Resistance after loving the first book Rebellion! I don't read much dystopian fiction, but Josephine's writing always reminds me that I do really like it. It's so brilliant reading a dystopian set in Europe.

This series is very character driven, and I loved seeing the character development in this book. It's been a while since I read the first one, but the author does a great job of reintroducing the characters before building on them. We saw two new

I thought that nothing better could come after reading the rebellion. But yeah, this book is a perfect perfection! Drummer ... oh, I believe I’ve become his biggest admirer.

If I could, I would give at least ten stars for this excellent job. Josephine Boyce became one of my favorite authors thanks to this series.

I definitely recommend this series to all who like dystopia and good tension. It’s worth it!

After finishing Rebellion I decided to continue with Josephine Boyce series Rebellion series a started reading Resistance.

The rebellion against the GDO has truly started after Cassia and her unit break out the political prisoner from a GDO prison. There next mission is to take back old Paris, in hopes of pushing the GDO out of old Europe. With every mission Cassia starts to struggle with the impact the GDO has done, and what she is having to do to fight for their freedom.  As Cassia struggles ...more

*I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.*

Right. So I bought Rebellion when I met Josie at YALC last year and enjoyed it but I wasn't blown away. It was different from typical YA/NA dystopia and I enjoyed that because we're all tired of that samey storyline, aren't we.

My main issues with Rebellion was things like lacking descriptions and I kinda knew what was going to happen etc etc. Resistance basically fixed every issue I may have had with Rebellion.

So. So. Good. I read it so fast, and tbh I'm just happy for my boys Drummer and Pranav. A relationship I can support.

Also, Echo, why?

I finally got around to reading this yay! It’s been staring at me since the end of July, and it was worth the wait. Getting back into this series reminded me of my favourite parts of Rebellion (aka Jono and Drummer and all the banter). The conversations in this book still feel so natural and it reminds me that these guys are still only teenagers. I really liked how much darker this book felt - even though a lot of the time it had me whispering “oh shit” out loud.

New book - new character! And oh

Full review coming soon...but I loved the new characters in this installment and the progression of the Resistance. Much like the first book, this one's fast-paced and full of excitement. Would've finished the ARC Josie sent me so much sooner if not for life shenanigans! ...more

** ARC copy **
Josie was kind enough to send me an early copy of Resistance - THANKS AGAIN!

I'd read Rebellion in one sitting after meeting Josie at YALC last year, so I was really excited to literally devour Book 2.

I'm in love with the characters in this series, they've all come so far and they're so well developed. No one seems almighty, or invincible, no one is "chosen", and I think that's what I like best about what Josie does with them.

I already gushed about the main character, Cass in my r

So I was lucky enough to read an early version of this through Josie’s Advance Reader Squad. I liked that version a lot, but I love this final version - it really pulls together and is a great follow on from Rebellion.
I love Rage’s character - she really highlights just how far the GDO are willing to go. And I love her and Knight.
I also really enjoyed Cassia coping with the aftermath of Rebellion and everything that happens in this book, some of it is pretty traumatic and it’s great to see a ch
