Joette “Joey” McClane is on a life or death mission. With her best friend’s life on the line, she, Kev, and a host of her new friends and family escape to Earth. With two people already dead from Tom’s evil plan, and one still unaccounted for, they race the clock to rescue Chrissa and return to Fairimorr before Leon breaks the truce with Derek to get to them. Knowing it is likely her last trip to Earth, Joey requests to stay a few days longer to celebrate Thanksgiving with her relatives, but that may be pushing their time limit too far. When the unthinkable happens, the group finds themselves trapped on Earth. With unlikely new allies and traitors in their midst, it soon becomes difficult to tell friend from foe. In all of their trials, one fact remains clear to Joey: Tom must be stopped at all costs, or humanity will be destroyed.
This is a clean, young adult paranormal romance. There is little to no sexual content and any violence is not graphic. There is little to no swearing.
Phenomenal as the last two in the series, but with a twist that really surprised me (and made the play on the title make a lot more sense)! As always, the love story between Kev and Joey was adorable, but I also really loved the budding romance of (well, I won't spoil it, so you'll have to read the book). In any case, I still think my very favorite of the three was book 2, but I really loved 1 & 3. A definite must read. The best part is that it's TAME enough (LOL) for me to recommend it to my teenagers, and one I can feel good about them reading.
Joette is on a life or death misson, taking her back to Earth. Joey's best friends life is on the line and two people are already dead from Tom's evil plan. Joey, Kev and group of weregals race to save Chrissa's life before Tom gets to her. Joey knows that this might be her last trip to Earth and requests to stay an extra couple of days to spend with her family. When the unthinkable happens and the group finds themselves stuck on Earth with unlikely allies and traitors in their midst, they group just hopes to make it out alive. Tom must be stopped before humanity is destroyed. I said this to Heather and I'll say it to you. I have no words. None. What so ever. Black Out was absolutely amazing and left me speechless. I even sat there afterwards and didn't know what to do next. I still don't know and it's been a couple of days. I loved what was brought to light in White Out and I really can not wait for the next in the chronicles and you'll be the same once you read these books. Heather Karn you are absolutely fabulous and I will be stalking your work for the rest of time because your work is truly addictive! Much love, the one stuck in a book funk now... '*He's going to freak out.* I didn't need to say who the "he" was. We both knew who I was talking about. Sable's evil chuckle had me sick to my stomach all over again.'
this was amazing and so much better than the first and second one. I really hope we get to see joey and Kev's daughter in the following books and that there's at least 3 more including them and chrissa
