Poems of Magic and Mystery

Rate this book
Birth, stars, dreams, the sea, darkness, strange creatures, water divining, ghosts: the poems in this anthology explore that most poetic of regions, the mysterious and rationally inexplicable world we live in. By turns celebratory, gnomic, awe-inspiring and fearful, the poems in Judith Nicholls' delightful collection show than nothing can be taken for granted and will provide an exciting introduction to the world of poetry and imagination.

A beautiful book of poems I bought in Hay on Wye last summer and began reading at Halloween. Lovely to dip in and out of, I particularly love the cover and the atmosphere, as the poems are divided by theme, and I like that most of the proms selected rhyme.
