I received this from a Goodreads Giveaway. Its a fairly easy read. There is a lot of information regarding college aside from the listings which is good practical stuff. I was surprised at how thin the book was as I remember past editions being thicker and more comprehensive. It was neat to see where schools rank according to US News & World Report but...by no means could this be ALL schools in the US esp given the size of the book. There were statistics for each school listed including popular majors but it only gave the umbrella school for those majors (Biological sciences, business, etc) I would have liked to see specific majors broken down (ie "Social Sciences" is a huge umbrella term for many things that ppl specifically major in). Itd be nice to add community college rankings too. All in all a pretty good easy informative read to start someone off - my high schooler had fun skimming through it & reading different topics & Lists.
I won this book in a Goodreads giveaway. (Thank you for your generosity.)
This book was exceptionally timely, as my daughter is a senior this year. It was very helpful in giving her an idea of what is out there, costs, and many other factors she needs to consider before settling on her favorites.
I received a copy through GoodReads FirstReads. The copy I received was cut wrong so part of every page was missing. The content of the book is laid out like a magazine so it is fun and easy to read. Topics including how to get, money issues, and picking schools.
