Solid if idiosyncratic
My partner and I used this book too help us decide which takes to hike pin our Southwest national parks vacation. To that end, this book is an excellent resource. The photos are lovely but sometimes point. The author's food recommendations cannot be trusted.

4.5 stars, was a very useful book to our trip in Utah, if there was some more non hike information available that would've been great!

Great guide for planning your trip, informative and helpful.

Good information in general although writing is middling-poor. I recommend this author use a line editor to shape up his prose style.

This book will be really valuable when planning upcoming trips to Arizona and Utah. Using it right now for info on a trip to the Grand Canyon.
