Filthy Coach

Rate this book
What do you do when the sexiest bastard to walk on to football field happens to need your personal services?

Sam Carson is a washed-up ex-quarterback who’s more famous for his drunken brawls and internet sex tapes than throwing touchdowns. So why did my father, the owner of the Atlanta Trojans, hire Sam to be the new head coach? And what part does he expect me to play in this dangerous game?

ALLIE WINSTON:  I’m a tough chick playing in a tough man’s game.  I’m a sports image consultant.  It’s my job to make undisciplined football players and unfriendly coaches heroes in the public eye.  But when I’m assigned to make Sam Carson look good, I know that I have my work cut out for me.  Especially when he catches me in the shower diddling myself and moaning his name.  I can’t deny my feelings for Sam, but I can’t deny that I’m also part of a game that’s using Sam as a pawn. I can only hope that he never discovers my treachery, because I can’t imagine my life without Sam in my bed.

SAM CARSON:  I’ll be the first to admit it.  I’m a baaaad boy.  I drink hard, play hard, and screw hard.  And when I drive my Lambo into the back of a truck, my career as one of the hottest quarterbacks in pro football comes to an end.  For the last few years I’ve been a coach.  When I get an offer to be the head coach of the Atlanta Trojans, I know something is fishy.  Then I meet Allie Winston, the smoking hot daughter of the team owner.  I want her and I know she wants me, but I get the feeling that there’s more than just sexual attraction at play.  Allie seems to be playing a dangerous game, and I won’t stop until I find out exactly what – and who - is going down.

Filthy Coach pairs Sam Carson, former star quarterback and soon to be head coach and Allie Winston, sports image consultant and daughter of the team owner. When Allie plans a weekend escape she didn't envision having a roommate or all the hot sex they were gonna have.

This was a quick insta-love read, however Allie was so frustrating. She pulled this whole tough-chick routine that made her come across bitchy rather than strong.

Had Allie not been so harsh, I probably would have cared more as I read through the book - but I just found her not that likable, leaving me not really rooting for her to get a HEA.

Short an sexy, a little sad too.
Taking a short vacation at the same house isn't what Sam or Allie expected. Both came for time alone and got more than they expected.
His new boss' daughter. Allie's young, hot and mouthy. Not anyone he needs to touch, not if he wants to keep his job.
But when she comes on to him what's a guy to do?

Sometimes things aren't exactly what they seem. Just when Sam thinks he's on track to make a future for himself life slaps you in the face and knocks you back down, only this time it comes in the form of someone he trusts.

Short, sexy, a tad sad, I felt horrible for Sam. His past doesn't make him the most likeable man but he was screwed over an that didn't sit well with me.
I love these short reads, especially one with a great heat level! Filthy Coach fit the bill.

FILTHY COACH is a very quick read, and the first I’ve read from Amy Brent. Unfortunately, it was a read that didn’t win me over.

Sam was extremely hard to like in the beginning. There are manwhores, and then there’s Sam, who really doesn’t seem to think very highly of women. Here are two examples of his thoughts:
1 – Hers was not the tightest twat I’d ever stuck it in, but it did the trick.
2 – I have noticed an increase in age and a degradation of hotness of the groupies who approach me now.
He certainly does not sound like a charmer. Women aside, he does seem to want to turn his life around, at least career wise. Did I feel bad for how he was played by Allie’s father? Yes, I did.

What can I say about Allie? Not much because compared to Sam, she was pretty forgettable.

In regards to the story and writing, I noticed a few spelling mistakes, and I didn’t like some of the words used for the sexual scenes (c*nt, squirting and oozing, for example). I wasn’t a fan of the short sentence clusters or the step-by-step descriptions of what the characters were doing. I was also deeply disturbed that condoms were non-existent, not only because they’ve only known each other for a day, but also because Sam has been a manwhore for almost thirty years. If these things don’t bother you, then I’m sure you’d enjoy this short story.

FILTHY COACH is told in dual POVs and appears to be a stand-alone insta-love novella.

Sam Carson, ex-quarterback, gets hired as the new coach of an Atlanta football team owned by Allie Winston's father. Allie is a sports image consultant and PR rep for her father's team. Allie and Sam met at Allies father's beach house, not knowing the other was going to be there. Spending the weekend together and getting to know each other they find out they actually like each other. Their feelings grow and before they knew it they are falling for each other. There was an intense heat between Allie and Sam and when they finally got together it was scorching hot! Can Allie and Sam survive her fathers controlling ways and the secret he was keeping? Or will they end their relationship and go their separate ways?

Amy Brent is fast becoming one of my favorite authors. This was a hot sexy book built around betrayal and secrets. I read this in one sitting and I can't wait until her next book.

ok I have to start off with hott oh so yummy.

It flowed wonderfully and entranced you into their world. You have the bad boy allure along with the taboo of 43 yr old man, that looks “good for his age”, and 24 yr old female plus the added bonus she’s the boss's daughter.

All in all great quick smoking story. I enjoyed it alot. I’m not a groupie or a big football fan but that was okay I didn’t need to be to enjoy this.
I have to give a big thank you to the author for giving me the opportunity to read and review her work.

Allie Winston is an image consultant for sports figures. She’s always surrounded by hot, arrogant, bad boys. It’s just the nature of her business, but her most recent assignment needs a little more help looking good than her clients usually do. Well, he doesn’t need help to look good, he’s gorgeous and fit (for his age ha ha), but he has a pretty unflattering track record when it comes to his off the field antics. When Allie’s dad hires him to be the new head coach for his football team, she knows she has her work cut out for her, but what she didn’t expect was to actually like the man after getting to know him better on their unplanned weekend at her dad’s beach house. He’s a decent guy. He’s funny and smart. Not to mention there are worse things in the world, than to have to watch his glistening abs all weekend, but he’s trouble. Nothing but trouble. She has to keep reminding herself of that.

Sam Carson is a washed up football star. Once upon a time he was a game-winning quarterback, but his skills on the field were almost always outshone by his drunken escapades, usually involving his very willing groupies and sometimes resulting in publicly released sex tapes. It was a PR nightmare. The final nail in the coffin of his playing career, was when he crashed his car into the back of a semi, drunk, and destroyed his shoulder. When he gets a head coach offer out of the blue from Allie’s dad, he happily accepts and hopes that it can be a fresh start.

He lets his guard down and gets to know Allie when they unexpectedly end up sharing a beach house for the weekend. By Monday, he’s feeling like he could be done with groupies and just be happy using his dirty, but very talented mouth on Allie.

When he finds out what Allie and her dad have been up to will he stick around to play it out? How can Sam forgive Allie for her betrayal? Can Allie convince Sam that what they have is worth taking a chance on?

Standalone, no cliffhanger. Very hot and steamy quick read.

This was a quick & steamy read.

Sam was football royalty until one drunken night changed it all for him and now he's a football coach for the team Allies dad owns.

Allie and Sam meet each other when they both end up at her dads place for the weekend. They are both instantly attracted to each other and make the most out of there weekend. Sam is even ready to change to be what Allie needs until he finds out exactly why he was brought to the Trojans he's furious even more so knowing Allie knew the whole time.

I felt so bad for Sam, he already lost so much even though it was all his fault, lol I still felt bad though. Allie try's to explain and redeem herself but, Sam wants nothing to do with it.

This is my second book by Amy Brent and I liked it just as much as the previous book.

Ego as big as a house, Sam Carson thinks he's all that and a bag of chips, for a man his age. Groupies, toss themselves at him and he takes everyone that crosses his path, until he is given an extraordinary chance , to coach a team. Signing, with the Trojans was a last ditch effort to save his career. Excited for the prospect he moved to atlanta and stays the weekend at the team owners house. Where he bumps into the owners daughter, he doesn't want to f'up his chances at this job. But playing nice with Allie has proven to be difficult.

If you're looking for a fast-paced, steamy, older man/younger woman romance story that grabs you at the beginning and keeps you captive until the very end, then Filthy Coach is the book for you. Amy Brent has written a great story of secrets, suspense, betrayal, forgiveness, and attraction.

I have to admit I was a little weary in going into this read but something just captured me as I read this book.
This author knows the right volatile combustion for these characters. A definite sexy read that will make readers swoon not to mention throwing the angry towel every now and again.

Sam Carson is a retired football player, getting women has always come a little to easy to him, but no he's retired and is a coach, the quality and quantity have dropped. Allie Winston can pick a loser out anywhere, and doesn't realize until she's dated them. When they both end up at Allie's dad's house one weekend, there's instant lust, but they also both dislike each other. A phone call from Allie's Dad, Ben, changes everything.

I really enjoyed how the story flowed. Sam and Allie were both well written, the flow of the story was great and it was a pleasure to read.

I received a free copy of this book and chose to VOLUNTARILY review it. My review is completely honest, and a non-incentivized review.

Sam has been bouncing around as a quarterback coach after destroying his shoulder in an accident, that ending his career. However, now he has a chance to be head coach of a professional football team or does he?
Allie is the daughter of a professional football team owner and was looking for some time alone, but her time alone was thwarted when Sam is at her father's house. Needless to say, their chemistry didn't start immediately, but when it did...very steamy. However, Allie knows something about Sam that her father told her and though they are very happy, will it last?
This was a great read, it really is an enjoyable tale. It has a great ending and I enjoyed it very much.

I voluntarily received and reviewed an ARC of the book.

This was a cute read. Allie grew up the daughter of a football team owner and has football flowing through her veins like her father. She takes a weekend off to go to their beach house, but never expected to find the new head coach of her fathers team there as well. After a rough start, they connect and spend a great weekend together. Her father is a slick one and causes a lot of problems, but the question is, will Sam forgive her for her part in her fathers scheme? Read to find out.

Just when the story was getting good...it ended. I didn't realize this was a novella until it was over. I thought this was a fantastic premise and I wished it were a full length book.

The main reason for the low rating is the hero's personality revolving around being a playboy. Then they say I love you but we don't actually see the actions to back that up.

Like I said, this premise would have made a fantastic novel. We don't get to actually see the character development or them fall in love. The author just tells us and it just felt lacking to me.

Daddy Dearest

A weekend away at Daddy's beach house is just the ticket for this overworked public relations daughter. But the beach house has a hot guest, the attraction is smokin', and the s3x is off the charts. One problem, daddy wants her to help him fire this guy. The majority of the book is well written with great character insight and storyline. But it ends pretty abruptly with the conflict and resolution wrapped up in about 8 pages.

Great book. Allie was put in a bad position when her dad put her in the middle of Sam's contract. She should have told Sam but also should have stood up for him with her dad. I don't blame Sam for leaving without a word to anyone and feeling the way he did.

This is the first book by Amy Brent that I've read and I really enjoyed it. I like the concept of the older man and the younger women and the dynamic between the two of them. The authors writing was clear and concise pushing the story along and the steamy scenes were very hot.

Good distraction

Filthy Coach is about a star player hitting rock bottom who meets the daughter of his new boss. Cut to chase, they end up together but not with some drama along the way. This was a short read and good distraction.

Stuff like public intoxication, sex tapes with groupies and cheerleaders, bar fights with fans from other teams, DUIs, DNA tests to prove paternity- seem to follow Sam Carson around. Allie Winston cannot believe her father hired Sam to coach his team...as a PR Director, Sam is a nightmare! But their attraction is off the charts and soon things get hot and heavy between Sam and Allie. Hate at first sight, soon turns to lust then love.

I enjoy Amy Brent's writing style with her stellar writing, witty and snarky banter, sexy descriptive scenes and characters we either love or hate. I felt the story needed more at the end, like with Allie's father and career but all in all a sassy and sexy read!

Filthy Coach is a sexy tale of a fast and instalove romance between an older man and younger woman. Despite their chemistry and enjoyment of eachother, Sam packs it in with her betrayal. Will Allie let his running away stop her? Or will she let the one man who makes her body hum get away? A must read for those who enjoy the older/younger romances with a little sports romance thrown in too.

I didn’t love this book but I didn’t hate it either. I liked Sam and Allie as a couple but I wanted more depth to them. I didn’t feel like I connected with the characters until the very end. To be honest, I hated Sam until he got his dreams crushed and his heartbroken. After that I truly felt for him. I liked the ending and the epilogue/six month’s later part. I am happy with the ending Sam and Allie got.
The one thing that did have me a bit like ‘’huh?!’’ is that after the few days she and Sam spent together, she said that she liked him but she wasn’t falling for him. Then when what she hid was revealed to Sam and he left, she decided that she thinks she has fallen in love with him. I even found myself shouting at her to make her damn mind up. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and some of the scenes will have your panties melting. If you’re looking for a short but hot sports romance then this book is for you.

Whilst deciding to take a few days away to herself, Allie decides to head to her fathers vacation home. When she arrives she gets the shock of her life when she comes face to face with Sam Carson. The guy her father has just hired to become head coach for his football team. When Sam decided to getaway he didn’t expect to be sharing a house with the beauty that is Allie Winston – his bosses daughter. When Allie’s father reveals his secret plan that is bound to cause trouble, Allie is stuck between a rock and a hard place. Sharing a house soon becomes sharing a shower and a bed, with late night skinny-dipping as a added bonus. When Sam gets home he cannot get Allie out of his head but he soon discovers the secrets she kept from him and the hurt she had a part in.
With her fathers plan revealed, Allie soon realises the hurt she has had a part in and the feelings she has developed for Sam, but is it too late for her to get her man? Will Sam forgive her?

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book

Sam Carson had it all, Fame, Women, a football career that is until he ran his Lambo into the back of an 18 wheeler one night
since then he has worked as a quarterback coach, He is also getting older, you know the old saying You look good for your age.
well Sam still looks amazing, takes care of himself but OH does he feel the injuries he got while playing on the field and off.
When he gets the chance to be the head coach of the Atlanta Trojans he cant turn it down. Even though he feels it is just to
good to be true.
Allie Winston works hard she is a sports image consultant. It’s her job to make undisciplined football players and unfriendly coaches heroes in the public eye. Allie is also the daughter of the Trojans team owner. although she does not work for her dad she does work with some of the team members.
Allie and Sam meet each other at her dad's beach house in Hilton Head. It is lust at first site but then while they have a frozen pizza dinner things get a bit heated and not in the sexual way.
I LOVED how this story plays out. Allie hides some things from Sam, Sam gets messed over badly by Allie's dad. BUT They do finally get their HEA.

4th and love

So this cute short read will have sports romance fans enjoying the simple romance. It was a quick read with instalust turned love that results in a cozy HEA. I did want a bit more of the ending hoping some subplots were closed up better like with her job, and father. Aside from that is was a fun read that I enjoyed.
Sam is a hot shot on his way out. I actually was pissed at what transpired for him but loved the resolution he came to to make his own HEA. The character had a lot of flaws but finally it seemed grew out of them. I would've liked to have know how things fully ended to what he settled into.
Allie seemed like a smart young woman. I like that she wasn't written as a naive thing and had moxie. She challenged Sam in more ways than one. My heart hurt for her at the position she was placed in. I really wanted to know what happened with her father and job as a result of the ending.
Overall this was a cute short read that will give you a good HEA feeling.
