The media feeds us distorted images of beauty and what an "ideal woman" should look like. In My Big Bottom Blessing, author Teasi Cannon offers a way out of distorted body images and the pain of self-rejection. She says, "My obsession with fat and failure robbed me of a lot of the good in my life. I have been miraculously set free from the lie that being thin equals being beautiful."
My Big Bottom Blessing offers Teasi's story-and real-life solutions for the millions of young women who struggle with poor self-esteem and feelings of inadequacy. Whatever it is that you despise most about yourself (it doesn't have to be weight) can become the catalyst for serious life change. Teasi's story proves that emotional pain can be healed, and real self-confidence found from knowing that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes.
My Big Bottom Blessing is a joyful and wise guide to exchanging the limitations of a merely human body image for the liberty of knowing that we are made in the image of God.

Really great, God focused book about one women's struggle and final acceptance over her weight. Relatable even if you don't struggle with body image issues. Loved all the different prayers and scriptures.
A very good book on self image, self hate, and how to forgive yourself and get right with God. Great workbook sessions where you can really get your feelings out.
I ran across this book in the library - never even heard of it before... but so glad I did.
It's the story of a woman who suffers with her weight & felt like it was the source of her worth. The things she learned about God as she learned to love herself & how she saw God loved her, regardless of her weight, this is what the book is about.
I really enjoyed this book because parts of it, its like Teasi was reading my mind.
It's full of scripture, full of real thoughts, full of Godly wisdom, full of laughs.
I am so glad I stumbled across this & really feel like women who struggle with their weight will find some Biblical wisdom in these pages...
I really have left this book feeling a little bit better about myself & am reassured that God has made me for a reason, God loves me regardless of any number & in all my own struggles, God can teach me things about myself & Him throughout it.
Ouch. I didn't realize how much negative self-talk I had going on inside my head. I felt myself relating to every page and will be referring back to this book often.
I'm not sure exactly how to review this book because on one hand, there is a lot on which I disagree with her, but there were a few things she said that helped open my eyes to some problems in my own life. So if you read this, have an open mind but read with discernment (which I hope you do anyway.)
I appreciated hearing the inner voice of someone who struggles with body image. Also, there was a question that really got to me… “Do you think you are actually worth more when you weigh less?”
Seriously the best self image book I have ever read. Very truthful and honest and the journey she challenges readers to take is incredibly hard yet freeing
3.5 stars terrible title to really a good book. went much deeper than simply body image issues. addressed identity, forgiveness, healthy thinking, etc.
