The battle for Redemption begins now.
Tragedy changes people in ways that they did not expect. Brighton Sinclair knows this first hand. He had his life mapped out with the military and with the woman he loved. But the map that he had planned was not the map that he would follow. The military was still there for him, and that is where he would forge his path. Love had no part of his life anymore. Except that she appeared and changed everything. Emma Hall enflames his lust like never before. But she also makes him feel shame and rage that she can invoke these feelings within him. He knows that he doesn’t deserve to allow her light to shine into his darkness, but the pull he feels for her makes it almost impossible for him to let her go.
Emma Hall knows that her feelings, or her obsession, with Brighton Sinclair is not going to go anywhere. He comes and goes from her life and leaves her with feelings of love and pain that battle each other constantly. She loves Brighton, but she knows that he will not let go of the past that has scared him and that will not allow for a future together. Friends with benefits, although the friend part seems to be stretching reality a little bit. She needs to move on, but it is so hard to do so when Brighton shows up unexpectedly and wrecks her carefully laid plans. But now there is something sinister after Emma, and Brighton needs to decide if he can live without her, or if he will battle the darkness so that he can step into the light of redemption.
I will say that I was pleasantly surprised by this book. It is the first one that I have read by Victoria Renteria, and I was enthralled. No, it did not happen right away. I was a little confused in the first chapter, but as I read on I was pulled into Emma’s and Brighton’s world and fell in love with the couple. Yes, there are ups and downs with twists and turns that I did not expect. Emma’s character is very strong, but very vulnerable at the same time. I will say that I had issues with Brighton, even knowing a bit of his backstory, in the beginning of the book. It took a while for him to get his act together, but once he did he really grew on me. All in all, the story was well written, even the parts that deal with sensitive topics. I would highly recommend this book.

The cover art had me feeling "beautifully lost" if rhat makes sense?! Then comes the dedication and I'm already reaching for my Kleenex 😭💔
So Emma walked away from an abusive relationship , she's also a teacher to 2nd graders, a good one at that 💟 She may be a sweet teacher but she's also a hot blooded woman with needs and desires 👿🔥 she has also manage to catch the eye of the delectable Brit , Brighton Sinclair.
Brighton Sinclair is delectable ( i know I've mentioned it , I just want to make sure I make my point 😜) and the first 3 letters of his surname ,SIN. He could melt the panties off a nun !🙈😂
Besides being a yummy speciMAN he carries a lot of pain and heartache , a man that is battling to let go of the past and to live again. My heart shatters into pieces for him ....
Dear old Mrs Carlson is a card thoughand this old duck cracked me up on more than one occasion ! As in I snorted in a packed coffee shop 🙈😂. She may be old but the fire within her is still blazing ! She must be 1 of my favourite people of all time !💟
How do you resist a man in pain ? How do say no to man who begs you to ease his pain ? It's like a moth to the flame!!!!
Thank goodness Emma has Kyle's, her best friend . Her comical distraction and full on supporter in life , a special friendship indeed . Having said that Kylee and Emma together had me i stitches on their trip 😂

Emma Hall is woman who is in full control of her life, as she's made sure to always control her surroundings, while making sure that everything is planned for. But meeting Brighton has thrown her life into a chaos that she doesn't like, but she can't stay away from him. Brighton Sinclair is a man with a lot of demons that he can't let go of. His past is littered with tragedy, so he's pushed everyone that has gotten too close, and now only concentrates on his military career. He never saw Chloe coming, and the more he craves her, the more he pushes her away. But when Chloe is in danger, will he finally realize that she's the redemption that he needs to live again? Oh how I LOVED LOVED LOVED this emotional story soooooo very much! First of all, it was great to see Alex and Kylee so happy together, and second of all, absolutely LOVE the men on Alex's team. They are the cast of colorfully entertaining secondaries that gave me some lighter moments with their hilarious banter that kept me laughing. Now, I LOVED Emma so much, and while I couldn't help but love the tortured soul, Brighton, he frustrated me more than once, and I wanted to shake him. Victoria Renteria is brilliant in her writing style, and once again, she brought me to tears with her realistic characters who's pain seeped out of my kindle. And she's definitely one of the best with her diabolical twists and turns that keep me yelling colorful metaphors as they come out of left field. I will never get enough of this series, NEVER EVER, and I cannot wait for more! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This was a military romance with two broken souls dealing with serious issues.
Noah was just as broken as Emma but she was dealing with things better than him. She helped get out of the dark and slowly but surely believe in love and living again.
This story was very touching because many of the characters dealt with several issues and it draws you in.

This is the first time I have read any of this authors work, and it will definitely not be the last. Emma and Brighton are both broken souls, and when fate intervenes and puts them in each other’s paths, will they let go of the past long enough for a relationship to form!! This is a beautifully written storyline which had me going through so many emotions while reading. I recommend this authors work for all romance lovers out there.

Redemption was beautifully written. It had me feeling a wide array of emotions, from happy to sad and everything in between. Brighton and Emma were ment to be together it just took Brighton a bit to realize it. I really enjoyed this book, I most definitely recommend this book.

Brighton and Emma's story we met them briefly in the betrayed series! This is a stand alone but you should read the other books before to understand the storyline! Holy smokes Emma has a slalker!!! Will these two admit their feelings to each other? I loved reading this book!!!

First, I have to say that the something that was led to in this book, yet you have no idea how, was a huge surprise to me. I knew what it was, but I had no idea the circumstance behind it. Yes, I know I’m being vague, but so was the book! I just wanted to know why!
Anyway, I didn’t know this book was part of a series. It took me a long time to piece together what happened in the previous books. This is my one complaint about the book—the lack of background information. Though this book was Brighton and Emma’s story, the previous books followed Kylee and Alex, who are a big part of this book, being that Alex works with Brighton, and Kylee is Emma’s best friend. After reading this book, I still don’t know the major points to Kylee and Alex’s story. Though that shouldn’t matter because this book is not their story, it still made me lost when certain things were referred to since they are a major part of this book.
The prologue takes place 5 years before the story actually starts. It explains Brighton’s character a lot. Then the book begins and it seems to start in the middle of a story—the previous books. That’s where I got lost and looked to see that this book is part of a series.
Despite that, the writing was phenomenal, the story flowed with lots of ups and downs, and about halfway through, the suspense picks up. The suspense part, I guessed what was going on right away. Score for me! Ha! It was still gripping, and I had to know if I was right, which had me flipping pages to find out.
Some of the minor characters had me roaring with laughter, like Emma’s older neighbor across the street. That woman was a little pervert, but it was so darn funny. Then there was the chapter when Emma and Kylee go to a phallus celebration. That was pretty funny, too. Loved all the sexual innuendos.
If you like sexy special ops men, damsels in distress, British accents, witty humor, and broken people piecing themselves back together, then this is your book. And if the rest of the series is anything like this one, then they are a must read, too.

This is Brighton and Emma's story. Kylee and Alex as well as many important others help make the story so good. This is the first book I have read in the series and from the author and it will not be my last. Even though I didn't read the others I still was able to follow the story.
Emma and Brighton both have past that seem to haunt them. Both have had times in their life that put so much doubt in themselves.
This story has so much heartache and sorrow. It also has some great friendships and love that help overcomes heartache. The twist that comes in the story is one I thought I knew but then it is something totally different. I'm so glad I got the opportunity to read this book!

Redemption is a wonderful book, I highly recommend reading it. It shows us how through heartache and loss, redemption can be found. Brighton and Emma are made for each other, yet it takes a while for Brighton to come around. I give it five stars, its one book I didn't want to put down.
