Loved this book, couldn't put it down. I loved how Chase just stepped in to help Billie Jo and bring Rose some peace of mind. All through the book Lorhainne has given the reader a sense of suspense. Great job Lorhainne and looking forward to the next book in the series.

This is the second book in the McCabe series. It can be read as a stand alone book since the book barely even references Vic who was the focus of book one. However, reading the whole series would make for a better understanding of the McCabe family. Chase McCabe is known as the fixer in the family. Even though he is on his way to fix yet another problem between his parents and a previously unknown sister, Chase finds himself involved in a situation he just can't walk away from. By staying and ge ...more

Eckhart has a new series that is definitely worth the read. The queen of the family saga started this series with a spin off of her wildly successful Friessen series. This one doesn't disappoint.

The characters are such everyday people with real life problems. High emotion in the story will keep you turning the pages.

I highly recommend this book to fans of the contemporary romance genre.

Don't Catch Me is the second book in the McCabe Brothers series but can easily be enjoyed as a standalone story.

Chase is on his way to meet with his family when he walks in on what appears to be a robbery. His career as an aid to a congressman is over and he hasn't yet decided what he wants to do next. When he discovers that the robber is really a young girl he can't just walk away and decides t

So when Chase stops for gas in a remote little place, walking into what looks like an armed robbery, he immediately takes action and takes control of the situation. Things get more confusing for chase when he realizes that it's just a young kid, and then that there is a whole lot more going on in this sleepy little town tha

Chase McCabe and Rose Wilcox, two strangers who happen to stop at the same rundown gas station, step into the middle of something that will change their lives. It’s a matter of being in the wrong place at the wrong time, or is it? Their story touches on the shortcomings of our child welfare system when Chase and Rose decide to join together to help save a foster child who is drowning in the CPS system. But what they ultimately do is so much more.

It’s a tale of a strong, compassionate man who ha

This series is about four foster brothers who are still dealing with feelings of abandonment when their foster mother left them with a father that was struggling with his own demons. Now as adults, we are introduced to each of them.
Since I really enjoyed the audiobook of the first book in this series, Don’t Stop Me, I decided to give this one a try. This one is just as good.

Chase McCabe is a lawyer and politician who is a problem solver. He passes through a small town on his way to meet up with his family but his stop for gas ends up more than he could ever imagined.

What seems like a robbery ends up getting him bitten literally. A young teenager foster girl is charged and he finds himself defending her despite her reluctance to talk to him. He feels there is more to this than a robbery.

Lorhainne Eckhart once again delivers an interesting story that allows the reader to feel like they are there. I always feel "comfortable" reading her stories - like I'm with a good friend.

We find out enough about Chase McCabe - and what he feels he needs to morally do during his life, without feeling like we are being preached to. It was a quick read for me - as most all of her books are - but an enjoyable one nonetheless. Her interesting story telling ability, and splitting up the various mem

Chase McCabe has had enough with a politics life. He is on his way to meet with his brothers to help out with a family situation. He stopped at a gas station and there his life completely turns around. He stops Billy Jo, a teenager from robbing a store. Billy Jo has no trust in anyone due to the fact that she is in the foster care system and has been treated unfairly over the years. Chase defense the girl.
Rose is a character witness for Billy Jo. She has a past. She invites Chase to live with h
Another wonderful story by Ms. Eckhart! If you like family sagas then Ms. Eckhart is the author for you. She does them wonderfully and makes you fall in love with all of the families. There are always hot men, strong women, adorable children and loads of love. The McCabe Brothers are no exception. These are men that you wish could be cloned over and over again because not only are they HOT, they are also very GOOD men. Men you trust, men you lust after, men you think you must have! Chase McCabe is a sophisticated man with simple values. Two females, desperate to escape brutal lives, are wary of this stubborn and giving man. They reluctantly accept that he may actually give a damn, when he puts his words into action and refuses to give up on them. This is the second brother of Ms. Eckhart's McCabe Brothers series and it can be read as a standalone. I look forward to reading about the next McCabe brother, Aaron, in Don't Run From Me. This is a hot romance that really took me off guard. It turned out to be more than I expected. There were timely social and family issues addressed that added to the interest of the story. Fast paced and filled with interesting characters, it made a good evening's read.
I won a copy of this book in a Goodreads giveaway for this honest review.

I’m completely enjoying this new series by Lorhainne Eckhart. Although part of a series, it can also be read as a standalone. The McCabe brothers of the first two books seem to be completely different. They all had been adopted as children, so each has a different background. Chase is on his way to Nevada to deal with a family situation. On his way, he gets himself involved in a situation with a teenager arrested for robbing a store. His compassion as an attorney leads him to stay to help the yo ...more

Chase is a fixer who wants to help everyone and when he stumbles on a robbery he immediately needs to look out for the young female robber. This is a story of a determined man who will move mountains to see justice is served. The book is well written with strong characters and a good story line. I have enjoyed reading it and recommend it.
