This boxset contains authors both new as well a familiar to me and I enjoyed all of the stories included here. In addition to some great stories, the fact that these sales benefit wounded military heroes is enough to make you want to pick it up.
Elizabeth Johns is a new-to-me author. Her story Out of the Darkness tells the story of John Holdsworth. John lost an arm and a leg at Waterloo but he gained a home and occupation with Lord Craig. He also gained a friend in Catriona, Lord Craig’s adopted

For the Love of a Widow by Christina McKnight

For The Love Of A Widow by Christina McKnight
I receive this book from the author for an honest review.
Oh man!! This book was amazing. I loved the novella and the different approach of the characters. Lettie is a great heroine who has gone through A LOT in the last 6 years. She has left her best friend/betrothed, her dowry, her E

Wanting more...

Enjoyed each of the story ideas with their different slant, but felt myself asking for more story deve!opment. They could have used a modicom of additional conflict before easing into the predictable endings....still enjoyed as a light read.

Love! All six books are absolutely wonderful. I'm not sure I'd be able to pick a favorite. All the characters from all six stories were so very well written and likable. This box set was heart felt and emotional. Each story was a page turner. I'm not going to review each book individually because they are all great and are must read. My only complaint is that I wish some of the stories were longer.

Like many writers, Elizabeth Johns was first an avid reader, though she was a reluctant convert. It was Jane Austen's clever wit and unique turn of phrase that hooked Johns when she was "forced" to read Pride and Prejudice for a school assignment. She began writing when she ran out of her favorite author’s books and decided to try her hand at crafting a Regency romance novel. Her journey into pub ...more
