I grew up as a conman, but now I’m respectable...kind of. Yeah, I’m lying to Lake about who I am, but it’s for a good cause.

When you’re in the military, you learn that sometimes decisions have to be made. A few have to be sacrificed to benefit the greater good. The memories of my fallen military brothers takes precedence over a piece of great ass, even one as fine as Lake’

I love stories that are different from the norm and authors that can come up with fresh, new and unique ideas. KB Jacobs does just that! Deliciously Smooth is a cute, distinctive and engaging read and I can't wait to check out what this author duo writes next!

"You guys are classic star-crossed lovers. I can practically read the book jacket now." Melissa threw her hands up in front of her like she was reading a book. "She wants to preserve her father's dream. He wants to honor a fallen brother.

3.5 - 4 Stars

I purchased this book because of the words "fallen military brothers" in the blurb. I cannot resist a veteran! This was also my first K.B. Jacobs read.

I am guessing I would categorize this as an enemies to lovers trope. Walsh and Lake are both formidable opponents wanting two different outcomes. But at the center of the war going on between them, is an undeniable, lustful attraction. And let's not forget that Walsh is pretending to be someone he is not.

All was going so good with this one. Liked the writing. Liked the characters. Loved the setting. Premise was great. Slow burn on the enemies to lovers relationship. A bit of suspense thrown in for fun. But, GAH! The ending??!! Really? It did not need a cliff hanger, especially not that kind of a doozy. I get that it can be motivation to read the next book. But honestly, I think it read better as the HEA wrapped up. Lovers were forgiven and reunited. If you need to, throw in an epilogue

Deliciously Smooth is a great read! I loved all the characters. Lake's Dad has passed away and she's now running his brewery. She's not a ditzy girl, she knows what she's doing at the brewery. Her mom left when she was little so she is super surprised to find out her Dad has left her mom the brewery. Lake doesn't like her mom, she calls her Emily and sometimes she just refers to her as egg donor. I really liked Lake but she would be a person I wouldn't want to piss off. Walsh comes i

KB Jacobs have combined their writing powers for good and have stepped onto the scene with this brand new series...and it's delicious. I loved every single second of this book and I was really blown away by how much I enjoyed this story. There is a lot to love about the story and you will never want to stop reading. You're sucked into Lake and Walsh's story and it i

Oh, my. Naked Brews is the type of brewery I wouldn't mind pulling up a bar stool at. Not only is there some choice eye candy hanging around, the ladies sound fantastic. Friendships between ladies make me smile!

I REALLY don't mind the eye candy, either.

*ahem* Right. Let's get to the nitty gritty and see what else is to enjoy about this book. You know, besides brews and slightly duplicitous, but very pretty men and girl power. Lake and Walsh. Lake. And Walsh. She's trying to find her footing afte

Deliciously Smooth is the first in what I foresee as a page turning series, Naked Brews by the duo KB Jacobs. The enemies to lovers storyline did not disappoint. It was funny as it was serious as it was hot. I’ll be stalking for book two, especially after that ending.

Good book but hated the ending. I guess that leaves me wanting to read Naked Brews, #2.

3.5-4 Stars

I'll begin by saying that I loved the prequel novella (Desperately Unprepared) available through the authors' website. It gave the developed back story to the main characters of this book. Deliciously Smooth definitely stands on its own, but the prequel heightened the reading experience and helped me to enjoy the H/h so much more than I probably would have. Honestly, it should have just been added as a prologue to this book.

As for Deliciously Smooth, I enjoyed it, as well. Yet, not as

I was ready to give this book a solid four star but then I reached the end. Normally, I'm not a cliffhanger reader at all...AT ALL! But there was something about the writing that gave me hope. The main characters, Lake and Walsh had difficult childhoods to say the least but the way they overcame it just proved the author, whom I've never read before knows what they're doing. So I'm holding out hope that book two will resolve the ending and bring continued happier times for Lake and Walsh.

Deliciously Smooth is deliciously sexy, sweet and a tad emotional. Lake has taken over her late father's brewery, the brewery that is her passion. But, it needs serious help, financially, if it's to make it, as her father's managerial style had been rather lackadaisical. In swoops Walsh with an offer to buy Naked Brews. Their very first meeting has the sparks flying, not the least because they have a serious attraction to each other. Walsh has a big secret, though, and when Lake finds out what t ...more

I thought this was really cute and enjoyed how important the brewery, beer, and brewing were to the story.

The chemistry between Lake and Walsh was good, and the bickering and animosity between them worked well. Oftentimes, the "enemies to lovers" trope isn't delivered with quite the "enemies" vibe, but I thought this was perfectly delivered. There was some instalust and instalove here, but the last scene was cute enough that I forgive it.

Lake's history was interesting but not necessarily as dee

Ooh, I love a great enemies to lovers book! Deliciously Smooth certainly had my attention from the beginning! I adored the developing relationship between Lake and Walsh. Loved watching them fight each other for the brew pub, Naked Brews. Loved watching their friends rally around them as they went from enemies to friends to lovers. I loved how Lake worked to overcome her grief and do the best she could by her dad—even readily admitting when she screwed up, but quickly working to rectify the issu ...more

Walsh is man with many secrets. Lake is a woman busting her behind to keep her dad's dream alive, and hates anything resembling a secret/lie. That's all I'm saying. Anymore, it's getting near impossible to write reviews without inadvertently giving the whole book away, so have to slim them down. KB Jacobs is a dynamic duo with a smooth and talented writing style. If I didn't already know about them, I wouldn't have guessed that it was more than one author, as it was that smooth. I loved Lake and ...more

Received an ARC for my fair review for netgalley. I loved this book, kept me interested the whole time. Lake loves her fathers business Naked Brews, and when he dies, she takes over along with her two best friends. Things are going a little rough, but they get worse when she finds out that she is not the owner, but it is left to her mother whom she hates because she had abandoned her and her father, when she was nine years old. Walsh is impersonating his best friend Damien as president of the ch ...more

4.5 - 5 stars... I can't believe that just happened. o.O #EvilAuthors

KB Jacobs is a new author… well, they are new authors, who have combined forces. They are self described as two women who are “in swift pursuit of cold beer and hot men…not necessarily in that order.” After reading the first book in their Naked Brews series, I haven’t quite decided whether this writing duo plan on using those combined forces for good or evil.

There was so much to love about Deliciously Smooth. I loved Lake’s d

You know, I really wanted to like this book. I gave it a fighting chance, I love Walsh, he's wonderful and I'm sort of bummed that I won't get to read the rest of his story and the premise behind his charity but Lake and her beer was just too boring. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for a honest review.

Enter Walsh, who comes in informing her that her mother is selling the brewery to his charitable organization. Even though he's easy on the eyes, she can't stand him or what he's trying to do! KB Jacobs is the pen name for two fabulous, best-selling authors. Obsessed with the 3 B’s...books, brews, and bodies...specifically male ones with a ladder of abs leading down to the treasure trail…

Ahem, sorry, we digress.

These two authors decided to pool their obsessions and discovered a whole new destination to whet their imaginations. Welcome to Naked Brews, one amazing microbrewery set in the
