Elys Dolanin "Herra Pupun suklaatehdas" (Mäkelä, 2018) työläisten oikeuksista ja luokkataistelusta kertova kuvakirja, jossa ahne tehtaanomistaja herra Pupu pyrkii maksimoimaan voittonsa muun muassa kaventamalla kanojen muodostaman proletariaatin oikeuksia.

Kanat osaavat kuitenkin järjestäytyä ammattiliitoksi. Liiton onkin pakko turvautua lakkoaseeseen, kun porvarijänis pyrkii leikkaamaan saavutettuja etuuksia. Näin ollen tuotanto pysähtyy ja herra Pupun tehdas ajautuu vaikeuksiin ilman työläisiä

When I spotted Elys Dolan having a new book, I just new I had to pre-order it immediately!

This is THE perfect book for Easter, and I will definitely be re-reading this book during that time. It got all the ingredients for Easter, from the chocolate eggs to chocolate bunnies.

This book was a delight, how it all first started with everyone being quite happy, with the factory growing, to Mr. Bunny going totally bonkers and forcing his employees to do stuff that no one should be doing (working day/ni

[sa

Oiih, mikä kapitalismin ääri-ilmentymien kuvaus ihan parhaalla kuvituksella! Kun Erkkakin ottaa loparit ja herra Pupu päkistää munaa minkä pystyy, saa aikuinenkin miettiä missä Tepi oikein on :D.

Lopulta tiput palkataan takaisin, etsitään paikallisella sovittelulla hyvä tapa jakaa duunia ja pitää tiput timmeinä mm. kuntosalin avulla. Jokaisen ideat otetaan huomioon, on aikaa ihailla lapsenlapsien kuvia ja antaa luovuuden ja vegeruuan kukkia.

One might think this is a perfect book for Easter, but I personally found it quite disturbing: mr Bunny forced chickens to eat more chocolate so that they would lay more chocolate eggs... (very logical, isn't it...) ...And then the Bunny tried to lay chocolate eggs himself... So weird! ;)

I think this book was more for adults, because it was so passionate about the rights of the factory workers.

Elys Dolan has fast become one mine & my 4 year old's favourite Children's Authors.

My son loves this book, he loves it just as much at The Doughnut of Doom (one of his fave books), which is also by this author.
Very much like The Doughnut of Doom in the layout, the sequence of events & one character (Debbie, the female version of TDOD's Gary), but with a fresh story & equally funny characters.

Fantastically fun book with lots of detail in the illustration. Something to pore over with the kids, and a good stimulus for talking about teamwork and not being bossy!

This was a ton of fun with a strong message about fairness buried inside. Mr Bunny owns a chocolate factory, and he does very little work - he makes all of the chickens who lay the chocolate eggs work VERY hard. Not only does he do nothing himself, he denies his workers holidays, makes their working conditions very hard and doesn't care about their safety or welfare - until they have had enough and go on strike!
Will Mr Bunny discover that he can't do it all himself, and that all the workers in t
