Charlotte and Chris were happy to play matchmaker for Ava and Patrick - they didn’t expect to find love themselves.

I’m the kinda girl that’s looking for one night and not anything after that. I refuse to date. I’ve been down that road before and it ended in heartache. For now, I’ll focus on my designs, my business and me. That’s what I told myself until tall, dark

ARC received from author for an honest review

Josephine Traynor has quickly become a must read author for me, so I jumped at the chance to get my hands on an early copy of the second book in the Time series, Four O'clock.

This book is told concurrently with the first book, so you could read book 2 without reading book 1 first, but why would you want to miss any of the goodness?

We met our lovelies Charlotte and Chris in the first book, A Quarter to Twelve, and whilst I liked them as the secondary c

A few months back I read A Quarter to Twelve, my first book by author Josephine Traynor. I love the main characters and their story, but their sidekicks (her best friend and his younger brother) where just as funny. I wanted to know more about them, and with Four O’Clock I do. I real like Chris and Charlotte’s sweet story.
“When you find the one, you just know. They want you to be a better person. They push you to face your fears. You have done that.”

Well Josephine Traynor has done it again with her second book in ‘The Time Series’ - Four O’clock! I loved the first book and the characters in it so I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this one and it didn’t disappoint! The storyline in this book actually runs alongside the first book so it could be read as a standalone but it may contain spoilers if you chose to read this before the first one. Having read the first book I would highly recommend it is read first.
Book 1 was Ava and Patric

“Life’s too short for regrets… Way too short…”
Four O’ Clock, is the second book in the Time Series. It could be read as a standalone. However, I would recommend that book one be read first as the story lines not only support each other, but cross over here and there. That and it is evident in the writing that these are to be read as a series in order.
The two main characters that we follow are Charlotte and Chris. Charlotte is Ava’s best friend, and that is explained further in the first book.

Four O'Clock: Book Two in the Time Series by Josephine Traynor is the second book in the Time series. This story can be read as a stand alone but the background information on some of the characters is helpful. I fully enjoyed how this author has showed us what happened with the characters from the first book. This story is about what happens when you have two people who play matchmakers but they get more then they expect. You will enjoy how this author has created characters that will pull at y ...more

The story Four O'Clock: Book Two in the Time Series by Josephine Traynor is a romantic comedy. What happens when two people play matchmaker and then start to fall in love themselves? You have a wonderful love story. This is the story of Charlotte and Chris. This book is the perfect addition to the Time Series. It had me hooked from the first chapter and I didn’t want to put it down until the final page. I would highly

Four O’clock is the second book in the Time Series by Josephine Traynor. I enjoyed reading Charlotte and Chris’ story which was taking place at the same time as Ava and Patrick’s story. It was nice to see some of the events from the first book from a different perspective.

Charlotte works in a men’s clothing store that her parents own. She loves her job but her true passion is designing clothes though her parents feel like she is too good to do that. Her typical day is interrupted when two men co

Four O’Clock is book two following A Quarter to Twelve in The Time Series by Josephine Traynor. Another cute and happy story with characters that are smoking hot. Chris and Charlotte have a chemistry like no other.
Chris is Patrick’s brother. Patrick is the main character from the first book. Chris is younger and is trying to find his own way. Patrick, of course, wants him to be happy, but doesn’t give Chris enough credit. Chris really needs to man up to Patrick. It’s ok to accept help but that

Four O’clock by Josephine Traynor is book two in the Time Series. I would not recommend reading this book unless you have read the first book in the series. These two books have similar stories but with a different point of view based on the Characters the story is about. Charlotte is Ava’s best friend from the first book. She spends her time running her family’s business and working on her designs in her spare time. Charlotte has not had good luck in relationships so she has developed h

Josephine Traynor has quickly become one of my favourite authors to read. Her books are real, they are funny, they are romantic and they are simply fantastic. This book, which is the second book in The Time Series is no exception. This book follows the story of Charlotte and Chris who we met in A Quarter to Twelve and were very happy to play matchmakers for Ava and Patrick. The last thing they both expected was to find love themselves.

I've been waiting for this story!! Ever since I read A Quarter to Twelve, I was intrigued by Charlotte & Chris. Both of them were afraid of commitment, but I could see the beginnings of a beautiful love between them. I couldn't imagine them not getting their HEA.

I'm going to say that this book can be read as a standalone, but it's helpful to read A Quarter to Twelve in order to fully appreciate the background story. This is my favorite in the time series, so far. I LOVED Charlotte & Chri

Four O’Clock by Josephine Traynor is the second instalment of her Time series. In this story, we follow Chris and Charlotte’s story. Written in first person and from alternate POVs, we see their relationship progress and develop. As with the first book, this story is not only incredibly funny, but it also deals with some sensitive and heart-breaking issues.

Charlotte and Chris were supposed to be playing the matchmakers, not falling in love themselves. Charlotte isn’t a relationship kind of girl

Four O'Clock is the second book in The Time Series by Josephine Traynor. It is a contemporary romance with a dash of comedy.
This storyline runs concurrently with the first book in the series, A Quarter to Twelve. That first book was Ava and Patrick’s story and it’s there we met Charlotte, Ava’s best friend and Chris, who is Patrick’s younger brother. What a cute short read! This book is part of a series but it can be read as a standalone novel.
Charlotte was an admirable character. She is a strong, creative, loving but independent woman who has given up on men after they continue to disappoint her. So of course when she teams up with Chris to set up their friends, Ava and Patrick, sparks fly between the two of them. I wouldn’t say that Chris is the ying to her yang because they share similarities so obvious like being commit-phobe, unapprec

Josephine Traynor’s Four O’Clock is the second book in the Time series. This follows the first book, Quarter to Twelve and is Charlotte and Chris’ story. I like how the author had this story overlap pieces of the previous book in the series, adding additional insight on the previous book but giving us additional depth to Charlotte and Chris.

Neither of these individuals commits to relationships. The way these two interacted and held themselves is how I could picture things occurring in real life.

Four O’clock is Book 2 of ‘The Time Series’. Book 1; ‘Quarter to Twelve’ is a romantic comedy centred on Ava and Patrick. Book 2 (also a romantic comedy) tells the love story belonging to Charlotte (Ava’s best friend) and Chris (Patrick’s younger brother) who meet when they each act as matchmakers for Ava and Patrick. What happens when you play matchmaker? Some of the ‘magic’ rubs off on you and you fall in love yourself – at least that’s what Chris thinks.
