Gambling on Her Dragon is book two in the Charmed in Vegas series by Anna Lowe and Michelle Fox.
This was my first taste of the Charmed in Vegas series, but not my first time reading Anna Lowe. She is one author I recommend picking up. As for Gambling on Her Dragon it can be read as a stand-a-lone.
The characters where both interesting and fans of The Twin Moon Ranch series might recognize Trey he is the wolf and Kaya is the dragon. It was a fun, fast, and spicy read with a little suspense added in. We get a verity of supernaturals, plenty of action, and steam. We also get a very fast and crazy adventure between a dragon and wolf and all the events that bring them and keep them together.
I enjoyed this fast-moving story.

You will be charmed by this book and series!"
The storyline is stunning. I read " Bad Potions" which had unique and amazing characters just like this one has!. The couples have so much chemistry together that it will keep you smiling all through the books!.
Trey Dixon a sexy Werewolf who wakes up one morning in Vegas with a sexy woman in his bed. Only he can not remember the night before. The woman turns out to be Kaya a spunky Dragon shifter and thief. She had come to Vegas to steal enough money to save her sister. When she seen Trey , and seen a couple of thugs dope him she seen a chance for the money. Only she did not plan to sleep with him but did. All of the sudden the thugs was at the door so Kaya steals Treys money and fly's off!. This is when he discovered she was a dragon shifter not only this but she is his fated mate!. Trey escapes the thugs now he needs to find his their and mate Kaya.
You will love this funny,exciting, suspenseful, sweet,intense and scorching hot 5- star plus romance!.

Lana of Twin Moons cousin Trey a cowboy wolf, hits the casino in Vegas to play a little poker, heck he may get lucky and win some money to get a little ranch. What he never counted on was a gorgeous lady turned dragon flying into the sunset with all his winnings after a passionate night!
Kaya really didn't mean to steal all the winnings from that gorgeous wolf shifter, but it's for a good cause and besides, she was only trying to save him from a worse fate. Problem is her dragon is having a hard time accepting the fact that she left him behind.
Trey soon discovers that the gorgeous dragon lady is more trouble than he imagined, but he just can't get her out of his head and hopes he doesn't lose it in the process.
Love this book, lots of high chase action and passion!

A terrific, action packed and steamy paranormal romance with a HEA and a sting in the tail. I absolutely loved it.
'Gambling on Her Dragon' is the enthralling second book in Michelle Fox's fantastic Charmed in Vegas series of stand alone paranormal romances, all set in Las Vegas and written in collaboration with various other best-selling authors in the genre. This one is with Anna Lowe, author of the terrific The Wolves of Two Moon Ranch series, which this story is loosely related to. Michelle Fox is one of my favourite authors and Anna Lowe has been on my list of go-to authors for a while now, so I was expecting something special and boy! did I get it. Once I started reading this action packed story about the murkier side of shifter life in Las Vegas I really couldn't put it down. I was totally hooked and rooting for the good guys from beginning to end.
Wolf shifter Trey Dixon was hitch-hiking and his latest ride dropped him off in Las Vegas, where, despite his cousin Lana's warning that the Vegas underworld could get him killed, he settles down in a casino to play poker, blissfully unaware that he's been targeted by a couple of bounty-hunting bear shifter thugs as a prime candidate for the fight pits and that his drinks have been spiked. Waking up the next morning in a hotel room with only the vaguest of memories from the previous night, he's managed to acquire a few things he didn't have when he arrived - a beautiful woman he doesn't remember but his wolf tells him is their mate, a blistering headache and $90,000 dollars in poker winnings. His morning is off to a good, and very steamy, start and he's a happy wolf, right up to the moment he realises his winnings are leaving with the dragon flying off the balcony and two bears just broke down his door and attacked him....
Kaya Prouix, veterinarian assistant and dragon shifter really didn't mean to fall for the wolf who looked like the mystery man that haunted her dreams, she just wanted the money he'd won to buy her less than bright, gambling addicted, half-sister's freedom from the vampire running Vegas's paranormal underworld, but when she spotted the two smelly bears targeting him for the gladiator style fight pits, she had to do something, so she dragged him to a hotel room and....
I'm not giving spoilers but this fantastic and laugh out loud funny book opens with lots of steam and sizzle, quickly followed by lots of bad guys and action, features a desperate dragon who has no fire, although there is a legend told to her by her grandfather, a wolf who has to help her, regardless of the cost, a mammoth car chase featuring a drool-worthy classic, a couple of nasty bears, some seriously vicious gargoyles, a few witches, a traitorous pack of wolves, and a vampire who thinks he's won until.... Oh yeh, and the ungrateful sister is still stupid, in need of some manners and a good ass-whooping, but there is a happily ever after for Trey and Kaya featuring a ranch in Wyoming.
I absolutely loved it. It's definitely a 5 star read with a sting in it's tail and is on my list of books to rescue if the house was burning down.

Sometimes, you just got to trust. 5 GOLD HEARTS
Mate, her dragon puffed inside. Mate, his wolf hummed. Mine, her dragon purred. Mine, his wolf rumbled deep inside. SQUEEEEEEE, Cherri said out loud! :) DRAGONS, WOLVES & VEGAS, BABY!! What more do you need?!? Not much when the authors are Anna Lowe & Michelle Fox, that's for sure! wink I ABSO-FURRY-LUTELY LOVE this book! The heat is off the scale! The humor will have you howling!! The characters are SHIFTASTIC!!! But the story itself, the plot, the flow, the writing, just EVERYTHING! It will make your book soul soar!! TRULY! If you have ever read any of my reviews for shifter books, then you already know what my favorite part is - when the animal side gets its own personality, or Wolfality & Dragonality to be precise! I lost count at just how many times the dialogue between the 2 halves had me laughing & grinning like a fool! How can you not with lines like this " I was just sniffing! his wolf protested. I swear!" I love how every little bit & scale of this story works PAWFECTLY with the others to create a story that is PAWFECT! ABSO-SNORT-LUTELY PAWFECT!! Anna & Michelle have written one helluva SHIFTACULAR story and I cannot wait for the next book! Both in the Charmed in Vegas series, and what I hope is Anna's new series that comes from this one! Oh my what can I say, I knew as soon as I saw the author this book would shine, that's right I never doubt any of Ms. Lowe's writings the imagination this lady has is remarkable, when she puts it down paper, the magic flows through the pages only to touch her readers.
Trey Dixon is a wolf shifter who was touring the country, he stopped at Twin Moon Ranch in Arizona to help and do some work where his cousin, Lana lived with her Alpha hubby Ty Hawthorne. It was time to move on and so he hitched I ride with the truck driver who dropped him off in Las Vegas. Trey started to gamble and win, he was being watched, then they slipped him a mickie. Yep, Trey was quite popular especially with this gorgeous red head. Gosh she picks him up, now he just hopes he not to drunk to have a good time.
Kaya Proulx is a veterinarian’s assistant who needed money, lots of money. Paying ransom demands, that was demanded by kidnappers in order for them to release her sister. Kaya found the money she could get but than she was distracted by this sexy hunk, God he was sex on wheels. Just looking at him gave her concupiscent dreams. Maybe just one night!!! YES, I highly recommend this book/series, five stars is definitely not enough for this Must Read Book.

WOW! I really enjoy this story. It's awesome, this book is a part of a series that I have loved reading. I absolutely enjoy reading Anna Lowe stories . Her characters are magnificent and this story has all romance, action, twists and suspense you could want. It's well written and so fascinating. Anna Lowe's writing is flawless and so captivating, she always does such a great job weaving such amazing paranormal stories flawlessly. I honestly get lost in each world and they seems so real. I really enjoyed reading this book because I'm a hopeless romantic and this series gives me all romance I want and so much more. Kaya Proulx is a dragon shifter looking for her missing sister, she didn’t mean to fall for Trey. Trey Dixon is a wolf shifter who can play poker. Between the two trouble came to play, but Kaya is Trey's destined mate. This is a Fantastic book it's scorching hot, sexy, it has everything you will want to read about. If you're a fan of all things naughty, sexual tension, action and humor, this is perfect for you. Enjoy! This is a great book to add to your TBR list. If you haven't read the other stories it's ok because they can each be read as a standalone but I can say you will be happy to read the others. Again I didn't want to stop reading! Trey and Kaya meet in Vegas and it is really complicated. He is a wolf shifter on a cross-country trip and had no idea how bad an idea it was to stop in Vegas to gamble a little. Kaya is a dragon shifter there to rescue her sister from trouble and Trey gets involved unknowingly in a dangerous situation.
It is a fun read and I really enjoyed it. Trey is a good guy who doesn't hesitate to help someone in need. Kaya didn't tell him what was going on but his wolf has made it clear that he can't let Kaya just disappear. Kaya didn't want to get anyone hurt but her sister has really gotten into some trouble with some dangerous people. The chemistry between them is immediate and they can't fight it for long. Vegas hides a lot of sin until you know where to look.
If you are new to Anna Lowe's books, I encourage you to check out her Wolves of Twin Moon Ranch series that features more great shifter romances.

Wolf shifter Trey Dixon wakes up in a bed in Las Vegas with a woman he doesn't remember. When someone comes to their door and starts pounding, and he sees the woman jumping off the balcony with the bag of cash he won, he's not happy - although when he figures out she's a dragon shifter and not a jumper, he feels a bit better. Kaya Proulx is in Las Vegas to rescue her sister and needs money asap. She found the money and she also found a hot wolf! When Trey finds her, they both realize they have an unexpected bond and work together to save Kaya's sister. This was a short but fun and sexy story with great characters - I really enjoyed it!

Rating: 3 stars - I liked it
When Trey Dixon wakes up after a night of gambling he finds himself sucked into trouble and falling for a petite dragon shifter who stole his winnings.
This was a quick instant love/ fated mates romance with a wolf shifter and a dragon shifter. I enjoyed the fast pace and introduction to the different types of creatures in this world. Trey was a protective alpha male who just tries to do the right thing but seems to find himself in trouble more than he should. Kaya just wanted to help her sister but is struggling by herself. These two had a very fast pace, instant love relationship that was cute.
There were a few things that I wish had been explained better. I wish the world had been flushed out a little more because it was so rushed we barely get an understanding of what the shifter situation in Vegas. The situation with Kaya’s sister Karen wasn’t well flushed out either. I really want to know why she gambled so much and why she would refuse to discuss it with her sister. Karen was definitely not my favorite character in this and I am a little concerned going into the next book because of that.
Overall, this was a cute couple but I wish the world and characters were more flushed out. We will see if the next book goes into more detail into the world and why Karen is acting the way she is.

Hoo Boy!
AL has done it again, this time with a dragon, Kaya, and a wolf Trey. Trey is travelling West looking for he knows not what. Kaya is in Las Vegas looking for her sister or someway to find the money needed to ransom her. Whoever is holding Karen wants $80,000 in ransom or else! I'm not sure where they got the idea that she could find that kind of money in just a few days it made her desperate. Then she locked eyes with Trey on the casino floor and was caught.
Trey was playing poker and was on a roll. What he didn't know was that he was under surveillance and was given a drink that was laced with a narcotic. When he won $90,000 Kaya linked up with him to get him away from the two goons who had him in their sights.
The attraction between them was sizzling and they both gave in to it.
Problems occurred and Kaya flew off with the money while Trey had to deal with an immediate attack and escape. From then on the action and romance doesn't stop. Anna Lowe never fails to enthrall her readers.
The only thing that I found strange was Kaya's non reaction to her car's damage. I still rate it at 4 stars.

Once again, Ms Lowe delivers an exceptional and imaginative read! Absolutely loved it.

Fast-paced with not a single moment of boredom. With action, a high speed chase and passion that sizzles madly.

Cover/Title: Shifters, Vegas and gambling... yeah, I was certainly interested as soon as I saw the title.
Characters: A wolf shifter and a dragon shifter.. seems like a perfect match, right? I enjoyed reading about these characters but there was a lack of depth to them.

Yes, she literally flew after shifting into a dragon. Now Trey is really intrigued and uses the items she left behind to draw her out into the open. Too bad, it also drew out the people she owed money to.
Overall: I really enjoyed this book. My issue is that is so rushed. There is no buildup and I think this book could have been so much better as a full blown novel. I will, however, be reading more by this author as I enjoy her writing.

Quick, fun read. 3.75 stars
This was my first book I've read and as this is my favorite genre of books I was intrigued with the blurb. Female Dragon, Wolf and Vegas, oh yeah I can only imagine what could happen... The characters are well devolved and very interesting as well as the storyline. To be honest, I will most likely continue the series and maybe even the others that are somewhat linked to it.
So I'm sure you're wondering why I didn't have a higher rating... There's one thing I just couldn't overlook and it bothered my enjoyment of the book. Editing. Yeah that's right I have a big issue with missed words, mistaken genders, typos, site instead of sight and all the other things that should have been cleaned up before being released for sale unless it's used for a character's speech. So now you know what my pet peeves is in a book other than that I'm glad I got it and I will be reading more.

Her sister is being held because she owes some money to pay off her debts and if Kaya doesn’t deliver, she’s dead. But the wolf gets her car and is chased by gargoyles and then runs right back into her. They are deciding what to do when a pack of wolves shows up and takes them to their alpha. Now Trey has to fight to save their lives and Kaya’s sister too.

Its a cute romance between a wolf shifter and a dragon Shifter. The dragon shifter Kaya needs money to help save her sister from danger. And she happens to watch a wolf shifter, Trey sin 90 grand in a Vegas casino. She steals his money but he happens to steal her heart.
Its a nice story. Not too over the top. It has a really dreat hero and sensible heroine. I really like Kaya's sister Karen and her sense of humor so I'd definitely read the next book. But overall it was a decent read.
And the cherry on the top? It happens to have the whole true mates concept too..

This is an excellent standalone addition to the Shifters in Vegas series. The novella is a quick and easy read, with great world building and character and relationship development. It includes wolves, dragons, witches, gargoyles, vampires, a giant, a lion, a panther, bears...it's Vegas, after all. I've already read the next book, and while each can standalone and has its own couple and HEA, they make a great duo. And as this book proves, what begins in Vegas, doesn't have to stay in Vegas.

These two have amazing chemistry and can’t keep their hands off each other. Once he’s clued into Kaya’s predicament he offers to help. Dire circumstances pit them against bears, wolves gargoyles and vampires. Loved the action that has these fated mates get their HEA.

Absolutely loved this! I love all of Anna's book and this was extra good. From gargoyle car chases to vampires to a fight club and intense love and heat between the characters. This book has it all and I couldn't put it down.

Trey and Kayla story starts, with Trey winning a lot of money and Kayla stealing it. Then the storyline really gets entertaining, with action and intrigue. I can't wait for more from this author. I received this book 📚, as a FREE copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.

Trey is on a winning streak when he sees Kaya. Kaya is trying to get enough money to rescue her sister from a nasty vampire. She takes the time to save him from being drugged but then things get interesting. I really enjoyed these two and look forward to the next book as well.
