Angela (Angel's Guilty Pleasures)
I’m hooked on the Legion of Angels series. It’s been a while since I’ve found a series that has hooked me enough where I want to read one book after the other.

Siren’s Song starts not long after Witch’s Cauldron. Leda has been leveled up and now has the power of the Siren’s Song. What this power is, is the ability to compel others to do things.

The Legion has been powering up as many members as possible. Nix, the First Angel hasn’t said why, but we can only guess that something big is coming.

I think this one is my favourite book out of the three in this series that I've read so far. There is so much action and the plot is really awesome. We get to see Leda become stronger and also more of her with Nero, which was about damn time. But I still wished for more romance between these two. I totally agree with a reviewer, who wrote that the author gave us blue balls with this story. It's totally true and if these two don't get it on in the fourth book I just don't know what I'm going to d ...more

There is a big difference between a slow burn romance and intentionally giving readers blue balls.

The main protagonist is supposed to be 22, by this book, 23. She acts like a goofball vestal virgin instead of a badass bounty hunter turned super soldier, and has the emotional and mental maturity of a 14 year-old. I get it. Resolving the romance loses readers. But the only thing standing in the way of these two is the heroine is afraid to get her heart broken? For real? Welcome to dating and real
The actual suspense/action in this one was more interesting with a surprise at the end but the end result remains that this just isn't working for me unfortunately. At the end if this one Nero's been promoted in an effort to separate him and Leda as they tend to cause chaos when they're together. This just means even a hint of romance is just further away so I'm pausing the series for now. Having read the other series with the fair haired bad ass and her sexy angel this one just isn't working ou ...more

These books truly do keep getting better.

I'm still ALL IN for the love story of Ivy + Drake. When will they figure it out

Is this one of those series that takes forever and at the end they all have children?
Ya know, like good ol Harry Potter or some shit.

Colonel Fireswift can suck a giant dick. What a fucking cunt he is. He must not be getting any to be so cruel.
Poor Jace.
Jace is gonna die, I can feel it.
My predictions are all coming true.
So it's either gonna be him or Ivy.

There were quite a few times I wanted to slap Leda and tell her to shut the hell up.

But, yes. I'm totally reading the next book in the series when it releases.

Review to come at
Maybe it is because I have been reading books 1-3 back-to-back, but I am starting to lose interest.

Leda needs to get to level 8 or 9 to be able to communicate with her abducted foster brother, that is the one reason for her to have joined the Legion of Angels. As we know hardly anything about said brother and there was no established story between them, I have no real feelings about this.

I dislike the Legion of Angels. All those young people pledging themselves, fighting for the Legion and try

Wow the story keeps getting better as the reader falls deeper into this post apocalyptic world.

Leda is rapidly moving up the legion ladder, while Nero's humanity is returning like a tidal wave, making them a formidable couple.

A mission to escort pilgrims across the plains brings Leda back to her hometown, as her and Nero once again risk everything for each other...
3.5 Getting better!

As you've already figured out, she gets new powers in every book.

We're also finally seeing something between her and Nero (yay) and, although I don't particularly like angel love, this one is fun.

Ohhh, and she discovers some new things and it all just makes the plot even more interesting. I really am excited to see what's next.

A piece of advice though, it's awful not to have the next books in the series, so it's best just to get them ahead if you like the series so far. It wi

Thank you Sharon J for recommending this book series to me. This was an incredible read. The story was action-packed and fast-paced. Leda was still the same snarky and feisty character from the first book who is not afraid to talk back to authority figures such as Nero. Nero has really stepped up in this book because we actually get to see the more humane side of Nero and how he feels about Leda. In this one, we see Nero and Leda go on their first date. I thought it was very interesting. I loved ...more

Siren's Song starts not long after Witch's Cauldron. Leda has been leveled up and now has the power of the Siren's Song. With the Siren's Song power, Legion members can compel others to do the things they want. We start out at a bar with Leda practicing her powers with Jace until things go wrong. As usual, Nero appears to fix the problem. He seems to be close by a lot. I think he's pretty much onto Leda's troublesome ways.

The Legion is working hard to power up as many of it's members as possible

I received an arc in exchange for an honest review.
The wait was worth it. This book is non-stop fun right off the bat, with seriously funny dialogue, character interaction, sexual tension and an increasingly complex plot. It had me riveted, and second-guessing what was going on, while dominating my thoughts once I put it down. I devoured it in two evenings and I cannot wait for the next one.

Omg! Another 5/5 i absolutely love Nero and Leda. Colonel Fireswift was a crazy addition and as we move closer to Leda becoming a Angel to save her brother it seems to get more and more crazier. But even more Crazy was the fact that Nero's.... well I am not gonna tell the story. You read it yourself. Excellent addition now I gotta wait a long time for the next book!!!!

The story continues with this third book in the series. Leda is still training with the Legion of Angels and getting stronger, advancing to a level 3. Her relationship with Nero is still complicated yet sexy. Leda has a wonderfully snarky personality and is extremely stubborn and independent, which continues to drive Nero crazy. There is another adventure to the Black Plains fighting monsters and villains with lots of exciting action. Lastly a little more is revealed about Leda and Nero's famili ...more

Leda is neck deep in angels and mischief - and the plots that surround them just keep getting better! Definitely a slow burn romance with just the right heat and plenty of adventure.
5 happy dancing stars :)

Quite a few crazy twists this time and Leda is smack dab in the middle of it all. How are Leda and Nero supposed to hook up if they keep getting separated? Ugh! The suspense is killing me. She needs to just go with it. I like the mix of mystery, comedy and romance in this series. Can't wait to see what happens next.

Read this series
It’s sassy funny exciting interesting
Different cool supes and powers
Siren's Song begins with Leda and Nero being together after four months apart. The problem is they are on a serious mission, and can't have any fun in between. Even though, they are both going to try no matter what.

But, along the way some crazy things start happening, and Nero is getting moved around. Things aren't so good in the Legion of Angels right now, and while Leda may hate it, she isn't sure she can do anything to help.

This book was not nearly as good as the previous books. I felt like

Really like the series so far but there's one thing that's really effing annoying the hell out of me since I started Siren's Song.

Leda has been doing something that I feel is so very out of character, it's really stupid, damned stupid and I wonder WTF the author was thinking?

She has been "compelling" people for fun and giggles as a prank but under the pretense that it's "practice"....for fucks sake she would not do that unless it was a life or death situation I think, it's so not something she
I read all 5 of these books back to back and loved every second. I can't wait for the next one! The premise is a world invaded by "gods" and "demons" (they are powerful aliens, with access to magic). If you want to gain magic, you can join their army, but it's a life commitment, and about half the time, gaining that magic kills you. So when they say life, they mean life. Other people are born with different kinds of magic, and the army is the ultimate police force on earth. The army captains and ...more
I love love LOVE this series. And I waited to read it (even though I picked it up the day of it's release) bec I've been saving it for our vacation. Now that we're on our trip, I devoured it on the plane and stayed up finishing it last night.

I have a hard time finding a series, a couple that can hold their own against my über favorite --- Kate and Curran. I have to say that Leda and Nero do fantastic of keeping me in love with them. I love their chemistry. I love the world this storyline is set

Needs some significant editing from chapter 15 on

A good third installment. We get some movement in the romance area though not much movement in the larger arc of the plotline until near the end of the book. I will agree that this book needs some editing, particularly from chapter 15 and after. There were misspellings, sentences that were started and abandoned, and sentences that tell the story in both first person and third person view as well as use present and past tenses.

3.5 stars

Honestly, this book was better than the first two, but I couldn't give it 4 stars because of the spelling mistakes.
I usually don't care about these things. If the book is good enough I can overlook a few mistakes. There were some in the first and second book but not as much as in the last 30% of this one.
It bothered me because it stopped me from enjoying the book. The mistakes were so often and obvious that they became distracting.
So, I hope the next one is better.

I really like this series! its getting better and better and I cant wait for the next one. Only thing there was a few spelling errors and a mix up in words his for her or a her like in the third person when it wasn't meant to be. But other then the spelling and grammar, which I just read around. It was a great read can't wait for the next one.

Excellent continuation

This is the third book of the series. As the first to it continues the story of Leda and Nero. The character development continues and is entwined in the story greatly. It's several months after Witches Cauldron but you won't be lost, plus the sexual tension between Nero and Leda is like he's up a notch

I love these!

I love this series, it's one of my favorites and each book just gets better. Leda is one of a kind and her attitude and mouth are hilarious at times. Nero is so good in this one and I love his actions! I can't wait for the next one.
