This is a great romance in which to indulge yourself! Robyn Tindall has dreams of becoming an event organiser but, until a suitable opportunity arises, she will go where her agency sends her. The latest post is to work as the personal assistant for Curtis Frye. His reputation for firing assistants before they’ve even been there long enough to have lunch has definitely preceded him and Robyn is determined that won’t happen to her - and it doesn’t! In fact, she proves so efficient and indispensabl ...more

**This is a re-issue originally titled Her Cinderella Complex; it has been re-edited and some additional scenes added.

I’m not a huge fan of billionaire/millionaire stories but since I am a big fan of this author I decided to give The Billionaire’s Runaway Fiancé a try, but unfortunately it fell somewhat short for me. Sure the fairytale story was kind of cute, but I had a hard time connecting to either of the main characters and in face the heroine drove me crazy with her

The Billionaire's Runaway Fiancée was a good read.
The writing was good, the storyline entertaining, and while Robyn and Curtis were likable and entertaining characters I failed to feel the connection/passion between them.
Unfortunately this played a role in my overall enjoyment.

Thank you to Entangled Indulgence for the advance copy.

The Billionaire’s Runaway Fiancée is such an interesting story. Curtis is ready to fire Robyn before she even begins working. Robyn isn’t about to go down without a fight. Robyn becomes indispensable to him and when publicity problem make his life hell the one person he can count in is her. Curtis proposes a media marriage in the hopes of getting the media off his back, the only problem is Robyn is in love with him. Curtis doesn’t do love and has no plans to change that fact for nobody, that inc ...more

I was given an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest and independent review.

Classic lighthearted frothy romance - seriously hot, rich boss and seemingly plain PA who one day he starts to see in different light and who can assist him by playing as his fiancé to restrict media attention.

I like the easy way this author writes. An ideal holiday book if you want a bit of escapism.

We all know this plot has been used before so I'm not going to ponder much on that.
What I loved most was the ending. Curtis was extremely caring almost to a point vulnerable with his fear of losing Robyn. It was sweet and touching and I'd say it was definitely a 4 star read!

This was a very different billionaire marriage of convenience storyline. We do have our billionaire (Curtis Frye) who is tall, dark and handsome and is CEO of Golden City, a Frye family property development conglomerate. He has struggled his entire life to prove himself to the Frye family who adopted him when he was 9 years old and of course he has "baggage" to deal with from that time prior to his adopti
I liked the start of this novel but it deteriorated in the middle and despite my best efforts to finish the book I had to DNF at 64%. On re-reading the start of the book to see why I liked it I can see some of the signs I missed earlier. What modern woman says "gadzooks" and "jolly hockey sticks"? I mean really.

Robyn Tindall is temping as a PA until she can land a job as a corporate event planner. Curtis Frye is a CEO who is too busy to train his new PA and his old PA has left suddenly. His boor

The Billionaire's runaway fiancée by Jenna Bayley-Burke is for me an amazing 5 star read.
Robin Tindall had plans to be a party planner but since finishing college she's been unable to find the job that she wants to,so she joins a temp agency, where they send her to be an executive assistant to someone who has trouble letting someone stay in the job. On her first day there she's totally dismissed by Mr Frye but not one to be dismissed so easily Robin just steams on

Quick read that keeps the reader engrossed in the world that is Robyn and Curtis. A Cinderella story, where he calls her out on it and says that he is unable to fulfill her fairy-tale. But will he make her dreams come true or will she Runaway broken-hearted.

Robyn is such a sweet soul. It leaps off the pages and you wish that she was your best friend. But when she falls for her boss she realizes that sh

ARC Review: The Billionaire's Runaway Fiancee (Invested in Love) by Jenna Bayley-Burke

He's a jerk. She's a dreamer. Simple right? NOT! There is more to Curtis and Robyn. He wallows in regrets. She needs a reason to hope. Both are searching for that missing part of themselves. Perhaps, they've already found it. The Billionaire's Runaway Fiancee is part childhood fairy tale, part heartwarming romance. Ms. Burke is not afraid to blend the classics with the modern. She has a style that works for her

Enjoyed this one so much! Curtis Frye appears to be the typical get whatever he wants billionaire boss but he was so much deeper than that. With his own personal demons he has sworn off ever getting too involved with women. The media is making things hard for him though and having a fiance would solve most of his problems. That's were his assistant Robyn comes in. She's hardworking and dedicated. Perfect for his plan. He may promise her the world but he can't give her the one thing she wants the ...more

At first I had a hard time getting into the story. It seemed to jump around between Robyn and Curtis quite a bit. It could have been my own mind racing around as I read. But I am glad I stuck with it. Robyn was a uniquely fresh character. She was honest to a fault and a heart of gold. I love how she was all in and would not accept less than what she gave. Curtis grew on me throughout the book. And when he finally had his "aha" moment, it was very sweet and loving.

They say actions speak louder than words. In The Billionaires Runaway Fiancee, that's definitely the case with Curtis. You can see it with all the little things that he does to make Robyn happy, and the way that he's always touching her. Robyn needs the words. Unfortunately by him telling her that he's unable to love, that's all she hears. I really liked how real they get with each other. No lies between them at all.

I enjoyed the story for what it was but found it hard to feel a real connection to the characters. Overall a good romance - typical office romance in many ways but then with a twist when the heroine decides to run!

Safe read - no cheating, no OW or OM drama.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

The Billionaire's Runaway Fiancée is a light, modern take on the Cinderella fairytale. If you have an hour or two to kill, and are in need of some frothy escapism, this might be the story for you.

Robyn has just taken a temp position as billionaire Curtis Frye's Executive Assistant. She's already been warned that she most likely will be fired before the end of the day, so she's not expecting much. Curtis isn't expecting much either, so Robyn's tenacity surprises him and he keeps her on. They deve

Jenna Bayley-Burke has become one of my go to authors. I devour whatever she writes because the tropes that she immerses herself in are my absolute favorites. The Billionaire's Runaway Fiance is an engagement of convenience romance, between wealthy CEO Curtis Frye, and his new executive assistant Robyn Tindall. I enjoyed this book, in spite of the fact that the story did not flow very well at times.

Robyn Tindall is an incredibly honest woman, and when she finds her true love, it will b

This was an easy, fun read that would make a great weekend read.

Robyn is the executive assistant to filthy, rich CEO, Curtis. Curtis is getting pressure from the media again, but he also has a reputation as a horrible boss. When he asks Robyn to pose as his fiancée, she is less than thrilled. I'm sure you can guess what happens next.

Jenna Bayley-Burke has written a fun, romantic read with the perfect amount of steam! A perfect weekend read.

Robyn is working a temp job, working for a CEO who is hell to his assistants. Robyn is able to handle him and coordinate his work life for him. So much so that he makes her a proposition: to be his fiancée and he will pay her. But over the months, Robyn has fallen for Curtis and wants an HEA of her own not for money.

A nice read, I love reading where the assistant keeps the crazy CEO in line. And this book is no different.

This was a quick light story to read. It is a fairy tale office romance that is a blend of classic and contempary styles. Curtis and Robyn's story is sweet and touching, but I felt it was a little slow during parts and I had a hard time connecting with the characters. It seemed to be lacking certain details for me to grasp the changes that they each went through, we told details, but we didn't read about them. They just happened and you didn't know when it happened. The scene change

Loved this book! I loved the characters - especially Robyn - and how they interacted with each other. Robyn is working as a temp as she searches for a position as an event planner. She is sent to Curtis's office where she is one of many in a long line of temps. He fires her literally seconds into the job, but she doesn't leave. He is stunned when she is still there and by what she has accomplished. Before long she is managing his time and his life, so when his life events get out of control, he ...more

Being employed to work for billionaire Curtis Frye was supposed to be temporary, but when he offers Robin Tindall a permanent job and proposes something completely crazy like asking her to be his fiancée, how can she possibly say no. Especially when the money is good and Curtis is everything she’d want in a man. However, while Curtis is looking at their engagement as a business transaction, Robin soon finds herself wanting it to be so much more. Can she convin
