Good reference book for classic movies. Avoid the summaries if you don't want spoilers! The writing was a bit choppy and repetitive after a while, but I suppose it's hard to write hundreds of brilliant summaries. Liked the trivia included about the films (like who almost got the part, etc). Did not like the addition of so many newer movies in a book about classics. The encyclopedia style is great for browsing and figuring out which must-see classics to watch (and which you might want to avoid). Brush up on your classic films and save yourself from some bad movie rentals.
OK selection of standard classics with plot, commentary and credits; each movie takes up a page; the paperback is nice and compact. For those with other references this may be redundant, but well done of its kind.
