Worth Reading & Consulting

John McSweeney covers his “Tiger Moves” as an appendix of sorts in another book. John Peterson takes those moves and expands upon them for those who might not run across McSweeney’s work.

The Tiger moves are a form of “dynamic tension” where opposing muscles provide the resistance through the range of motion.

Like a lot of “bodyweight” systems, I had to put extra emphasis on leg work with hacks like those discussed in [[ASIN:B08BPDFKWD Strength Endurance: Reflections on the Legacy of Dr. Leonard Schwartz – creator of “Heavy Hands”, “Panaerobics”, “Longstrength” and “IsoTonOMetrics”]] ... that’s the main issue with Tiger Moves ... most of the emphasis tends to fall on the upper body UNLESS, during the upper body exercises, isometric tension is maintained for the legs and midsection.

This book is fantastic for the price. A compact guide to getting yourself in great shape without the need for a gym or any exercise equipment. A pullup bar is nice to have, but not essential.
