Easy Nights

Rate this book
The Boudreaux Series—Sexy. Intriguing. Easy.

No one said change was easy…

Savannah Boudreaux knows what it is to hurt. To bleed. To be afraid that the man she’s promised to be true to until “death do us part” might in fact separate them far sooner than anyone had ever anticipated. But Van also knows what it is to survive. To move on. To live life to the fullest. With five brothers and sisters and a loving mother as her constant source of strength during the pain and the healing, Van realizes there is little else she needs.

But some things never change…

Benjamin Preston sat on the sidelines of the Boudreaux family for years, in love with a woman he couldn’t have. As the best friend of the Boudreaux brothers since childhood, Ben has seen both tragedies and joys in the family. And as a former MMA fighter and Krav Maga expert, Ben’s used to fighting for what he wants—and winning. His hands were tied when Savannah married her high school sweetheart not long after graduation, but now two years have passed since Ben found Savannah broken in her own home.

Sometimes what you need most has been right in front of you the whole time…

Van’s convinced that happiness isn’t in the cards for her, no matter how right it feels to be in Ben’s strong arms—and his bed. Ben is determined to win her heart and fight for her trust. He’s promised to protect her, to be her friend. But more than anything, he wants to finally make her his, and this is one fight he’s not willing to lose.

A sexy, enticing, sultry romance that will leave you swooning for your very own Benjamin Preston!!! Yes ladies, Kristen Proby reunites us with our favorite New Orleans family, The Boudreaux. If you have been following this series, then you are all aware that each sibling have found love and now it’s time for Savannah Boudreaux to finally get her own happily ever after just like her siblings.

#EasyNights_kristenproby

Savannah Boudreaux is a survivor of domestic violence. After surviving the deadly beating of her ex-husband two years ago, Savannah is finally at a place in her life to move on and live. Live the life that she was suppose to have. She has found happiness, peace, comfort and support with the help of her family and friends. And this time, maybe Savannah is ready to venture out and find real love.

Well she didn’t need to look far because there was only one man that Savannah truly loved and that was Benjamin Preston. Growing up Ben was her older brother’s best friend and she always thought Ben looked at her like a little sister. But as it turns out, Ben never Savannah as a little sister.

When Ben saw Savannah badly abused and beaten, he wanted to kill her ex-husband since Savannah has always been precious to him. Now that they are both single, Ben is ready to make his move and let Savannah know that he has and always will love her.

photo 43c1398a966f9513c44b0160fd7277_zpsbs6nlcen.gif This, right here, is everything I’ve ever wanted in my life. She fits perfectly in every way. Her body is absolutely every fantasy I’ve had, but more than that, we fit together like this, curled up together, like two pieces of a puzzle. ”

As Savannah and Ben finally decided enough is enough circling around the idea of what if, they soon realize that this thing between them is more than friendship. It was passion, love, and heat colliding. It was an inevitable blinding force of nature bringing them together and letting them know that together they are one. As they solidify their love and devotion to one another, what happens when danger begins to threaten their love? Will Ben be able to save Savannah before it’s too late?

Easy Nights wraps up this series in such a heartfelt manner. I love how this book not only highlights love but also carried a strong message of strength and hope. Savannah didn’t let what her monster of ex-husband destroy her but instead she found her strength to fight back and reclaim her happiness. I love that Kristen Proby allowed Savannah to discover this on her own. She didn’t allow Savannah to be a victim but instead she allowed her to be her own independent woman. And as for Ben, swoon. Seriously, this tattooed pierced hero was the heart and soul of this book. He was patient, kind, gentle, and loving. Not only will he melt your hearts but as well as your panties. This man was perfection. Ahhh, what else can I say but go read this book. Fall in love with Kristen Proby’s heartfelt prose and lovable characters. Fall in love with Easy Nights because this book was hands down easy to love.

"3,5 You're Everything Stars"

"You're everything. You are the beginning and the end of me, Savannah. I don't work without you."

This couple got me so pumped since "Easy Love" and I couldn't wait to get my hands in this book. And it was the last of the series, of course. Ben and Van's story was picking through here and there in the previous books and that didn't help my situation.

I was like the guy in the gif in every book of the series until "Easy Nights" release date was approaching...

description

I devoured the book and when the end came I wasn't sure how I felt about it. It took me a few days to decide how many stars to rate it or if I enjoyed it as much as I wanted. The first part I decided the second not so sure. I was really excited about this book and it left me a weird feeling, not what I thought I would have felt after waiting for so long.

This, right here, is everything I've ever wanted in my life. She fits perfectly in every way. Her body is absolutely every fantasy I've had, but more than that, we fit together like this, curled up together, like two pieces of puzzle.

Anyway, the point is that I enjoyed this book BUT not as much as I wanted. It met some of my expectations but it lacked in some others in my opinion. Maybe I'm being harsh with my review, but you have to understand that I was waiting a whole series for this one and I wanted to blow my damn mind. Which it didn't happen sadly.

Ok I'm being all negative over here. So let's talk about the stuff that I actually liked. My favorite part was how strong had become Van after everything she went through. I admired her and applauded her strength and determination to be the best she could. Obviously I liked the storyline, Ben and Van had a great chemistry. Ben was patient and tried to give her space and be there for her in any way she needed (and that says a lot about a man who was in love with her for years and years, and wanted to have his wicked way with her but restrained himself for her)!!!

"You didn't just survive, Van. You thrived.
You're the strongest person I know, and I'm damn proud of you."

I liked their chemistry in bed but their sex scenes were too damn short for my liking. I wanted pages and pages describing their passion and the fact that they FINALLY got all dirty and hot between the sheets.( Was it just me that I thought that??? They were really short. :(() And the other part that I was a little disappointed was the fact that Ben wasn't all that badass as everyone described him, and suddenly Van became the badass of the story!(Again ONLY ME???)

Good God, he's like a drug that I'll never get tired of.

Overall a nice story with a great couple trying to find their HEA. I loved that we got to see what was up with the previous characters as well. I enjoyed the reading and all, but I just wanted more. More of Ben and Van, and some crazy, funny, hot scenes all over the book.

Easy Nights is the story I have been waiting for since the start of this series. Not only because Ben and Van had such an amazing connection that made me want more of them, but because I knew I would love getting to see Van move past her hurt. She deserved some good in life and I needed to see her get that.

Ben and Van's relationship was complicated but once they both stopped being afraid of their attraction they fell into a relationship with ease. I really liked that there wasn't a lot of angst surrounded the chemistry they had because these characters didn't need any more complications in their way. After Van's horrendous divorce she needed something easy and good for her, aka Ben.

This book was everything I could have hoped for; emotional, sexy, intriguing, and full of so many amazing characters. I love how Kristen Proby has the ability to bring so many side character into a story and yet not in a way that your focus will stray from the main character. In this book we get to catch up with the whole Boudreaux gang and it was both exciting and a little sad. Only sad because this is the end of this series and I'm going to miss these characters like crazy.

Overall, this series is one of my all time favorites from Kristen Proby and probably the books that I re-read the most from her. It's an amazing group of characters that I hope no one misses out on.

Book 1 Easy Love is still FREE.

ღ Savannah Boudreaux, journey to hell & back began few years back. See she is survivor of abuse. It took her sometime, but she stepped out of an abusive relationship. Its two years later & she is really starting to trust again … and she ready to start dating

➳ Benjamin Preston, I never thought after all these that I might have real chance with her. I’ve has been best friends with Savannah’s brothers since we were young kids, so I’ve was always at her house

This is cute read, it had moments where you wanted to throw your kindle cross the room – other time you just wanted bawl your eyes out…. And other time you were just in Wow

I think what I like the most out of this book was how patient & compassionate Ben was with Savannah

I love the suspense twists in the stories ….. the thing I disliked was the lack of communication in the family

➦📚 Hope you enjoy this read & also always keep in mind this is just my opinion
This book might be in a series, but I can honestly say you can read it as a standalone… Mind you I plan on going back & reading the other books at later date

-------------------------- Happy Reading ---------

Since reading the first book of this series, I was totally hooked and every new released story was a piece of a puzzle finally being put together and creating such a beautiful picture.

I wanted Savannah and Ben's story for such a long time that now having it brought me closure and a piece of mind, because it sealed the series perfectly, exactly like I expected it. This couple was kept on pending for such a long time and we readers were given only bits and pieces of the whole story. I have to admit, every time that I heard Kristen is releasing a new book from the series I hoped it will be Ben and Sav, but she was not giving us the story just yet. After reading it, I think she did a great job, because it finished the Boudreaux series in style and with the right final story, the one we were expecting the most.

If you read the previous books, you know Savannah's story, the traumatizing marriage she went through and everything she experience. She is a very strong heroine, determined and ambitious and with the help of her family and friends, overcame deep sufferance. She also had Ben to protect her and watch her from afar, always being there, always wanting the right moment to tell her everything, but that moment was postponed for so much time, it hurt...

The story isn't something brought to you in only this book, you have to read them all, get to know them better, seeing them interact and feel this slow burn. The slow burn is not in Easy Nights, in this book you have the outcome, the explosion of years of just being friends, but now those feelings can't be hidden any more.

I loved Ben, he was the perfect hero, sweet, patient, gentle and with a lot of love for Savannah. He was too perfect to say the least and his link to our heroine was unbreakable. The way he treated her, not considering her fragile, but strong and admirable, was such a booster for me, because I love it when a man gives a woman confidence and makes her feel independent and strong. His attitude towards her was so sweet and it melted my heart. As I said, too perfect:) Savannah was also a great heroine, healing her wounds and let Ben fill all the gaps in her life. She trusted him with everything she is and their relationship had such a solid base, that it went straight to GOALS:)

Why only 4 stars? Firstly, because I waited too much for this couple to love each other freely, and secondly because it wasn't really a plot to read. The book only followed the couple from friends to lover and marking the trust issues Savannah had, but as a plot, with twist and something consistent, didn't exactly hit the spot. But, considering my excitement and the fact that it ended in such a sweet way, I will not focus so much on the action, but on the feelings and the way it connected with the reader.

Absolutely brilliant

I 've been dying for this book since I read the very first book of the series. I was a lil scared not goin to lie cause I had worked it up in my head. But I wasn't disappointed at al I luvd it even more than I thought I would.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Ben and Savannah story as been goin on since the very beginning of this series. They have been friends for forever. Ben is the best friend of Savannah older brothers and he lived just next door so he is more like family. But Savannah never saw him that way she has alway fancied the pants of him. He alway made time for for and was different with her but she never did anything about her attraction cause of her brothers she didn't want to spoil there relationship either. Savannah had been through and horrible marriage with her ex husband he is a total psycho he dominated her life in every way and after a very bad beating he left her in pieces.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Ben as luvd Savannah since they were very young but like Savannah he didn't do anything about it she is the sister of his best friends and use just don't go there. But after years of seeing go through what she did with her ex husband and her trying to get her life back to the way it should be with help from his self and her family he could stand being just friends anymore he needed to be with her more than anything.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

This story was just amazing I luvd every part of it. The twist that was thrown in was perfect. I luvd Ben even more after the book was finished. He character is just so good he would literally do anything for Savannah but not in a under the finger way he was just caring and loving and knew how to make her happy. He us my favourite men in this series and there are a lot of great men in this series. Savannah is my favourite heroine in this series to she is so strong after what she was put through she shouldn't of been this strong women I know she worked hard and had a great family around but after years and years of torment I don't think I could of come back from it. My heart just went out to her and from the start you just knew Ben was the man for her.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I have to say I m gutted this series is over I think it her best series out of them al and I 've luvd every series she as done. I 've been dying for every book from it and this book is my favourite from the series. I just luvd it. I would highly recommend this book and series and al her books there isn't one that I haven't enjoyed.

I have been waiting patiently for Savannah and Ben's story since we first met them in Easy Love the first book in the Boudreaux series so I have been waiting for Easy Nights for over two years along with some of my GR friends.

With everything that happened to Savannah this was a relationship that was going to take time, time for her to heal and rebuild her life with the help of her family and friends.

Ben has always been in love with Savannah but they were too young as teenagers then college and then she got married and the aftermath of what happened it has never been the right time but now Ben has had enough and he WANTS Van as his woman.

They both FINALLY admit to each other how they feel and decide to give a relationship a go and everyone is overjoyed for them.

These two together are super cute and super sexy and I love the way Ben treats Van so gently he gives her everything she deserves.

As always I loved all the family time and the dreams with the Dad.

This was a great conclusion to a wonderful series and I HAVE LOVED every couple in this series I cannot believe another Kristen Proby series has come to an end.

This is my thoughts and the reason for the 4* rating, this was my 26th KP book and I LOVE HER writing and scorching romances but when it comes to her suspense twists in her stories I am not a big fan as I know straight away what it coming later on as I knew with this from the first clue what would happen and I must admit that Van did piss me off for a while and this has happened with a few of her other books as well.

4.25 'Perfect Moment' Stars

I can't believe Van and Ben’s story is finally here! After wanting this book since the very beginning of the series, now it’s here, it revealed to be a bittersweet event, because it simultaneously makes me crazy happy that we finally got these two’s story, but sad because it also marks the ending of one of my all time favorite series and family, the Boudreaux. Oh, well, that just made me enjoy it that much more, and savour every single word.

Easy Nights is a emotional, hopeful and romantic tale, with plenty of steam, from friends to lovers. But what surprised me was that this book was as much about healing, and personal growth, as it was a romantic novel.

I’m here, I’m alive, and I don’t look like I’m going to break at any moment.

It finally feels like that chapter is closed, and I’m ready to see what the next one brings.

Two years have passed since that horrific night where Savannah’s abusive husband raped, beat and tried to murder her – event not retold, we just know from the previous books’ info -, but she survived, and now divorced and feeling that she’s finally healed, she decides it’s time for a new chapter in her life.

Just so it happens this new attitude is exactly what breaks Ben’s resolution to stay away from her. Knowing he has the support of her brothers, and that Van is finally in a good place, and ready to start anew, even her sassiness and flirty spirit are back, proves to be too much, and he decides he can’t take it any more, pretending just being friends and lays all cards in the table.

“This is what I want,” he whispers. “You are what I want, Savannah.”

Well, and I, like their family, have to say: It’s about time!!! LOL

Since his feelings are more than reciprocated, given both have been trying to ignore and deny their attraction since their youth, it was only nature that their relationship developed at the speed light, and they very soon expressed their love and feelings.

“You’re amazing, Savannah.” He presses his lips ever so gently to the soft skin below my ear. “You’re the most fantastic person I’ve ever known in my life, and I love you so much my body aches with it.”

‘Friends to lovers’ and ‘best-friend with little sister’ normally are very tricky tropes for me to fully enjoy, given my personal pet-peeves, specially because normally the main characters already saw the other with other people, or proclaimed to have always loved (or been IN love) with the respective other since forever, but then go against it and sleep with others. I can honestly say this was beautifully solved and exposed here, because although they had always been attracted in some way, and loved each other in a caring way, they never claimed to have been ‘in love’, nor were other people rubbed in each others face, and the references to their sexual past are almost non existent in the book. I was so happy with that, but what truly blew my mind was the way Kristen Proby, via Mallory explained perfectly why now was the time they were meant to be together. I adored this…

“And I feel stupid, like I should have known Ben was the one for me all along.”
“He wasn’t the one for you yet,” Mallory says quietly. “People fit differently in our lives at different times. You weren’t meant to be with him until now, because you weren’t the person you are until now.”
“I believe that,” I say slowly. “And I wonder if we’d dated a decade ago, if it would have stuck. We were both young, and like Mallory said, different people. The chemistry was always there, at least on my part. From what he’s told me, he felt it then, too. But would we have really fallen in love? I’m not so sure. And if we had fallen in love, the odds of it surviving through college are probably smaller.”

Isn’t that the most perfect way to see this trope?! So incredibly thought out and exposed!

Even Ben’s himself reveals the same understanding. This says it all,

“You’re a special woman, Savannah Boudreaux. I’ve known that since we were young. I don’t feel like the time we didn’t have together was wasted because it made us both into who we are today, and without that, we might not be together now.”
Of course that now that Van and Ben thought all her trauma and horrid past where finally behind her and their HEA was just within reach, someone decides to try to steal that peace and destroy all they built together, and all the healing she finally obtained.

“Then why do I still have that horrible dream?”
“Because the past is always with us, even when we think we’ve moved on. There’s something, even if it’s in your subconscious, that’s still afraid of him.”

I’ll not reveal any more because I want you to enjoy the ride as much as I did. Van’s ‘rebirth’ is as much part of the book as is the romance between them, and I understand that was the objective, to show her strength and it’s possible to survive something like it happened to her and still obtain your very own HEA, but, in my view that kind of stole a bit of the focus and emotion on their relationship on itself. Don’t get me wrong, there is plenty of passion there, and sexy times, but after so much expectation since the very first book, I was hoping to feel even more chemistry and emotion. Maybe that was me, but at times I felt Ben was far to contained, when I thought he would be more Alpha. I know he was unbelievably understanding of her situation, and for that he showed more restrain, to protect and take care of her, but I wanted more emotion, even more passion between the couple! Nonetheless, Easy Nights was an amazing cherry on top of this EXTRAORDINARY series. That epilogue sure was the perfect closure, and I confess I shed a tear or two, with how beautifully is written.
And now I’m sad because it seems I’m saying goodbye to some of my loved ones – which they after all – and this spectacular New Orleans setting. I hope this isn’t the last Kristen gives us of this universe.

I miss the Boudreaux already… Uhmmm, guess it’s time for a reread! ;) <3 <3 <3 <3

“Don’t you ever fucking forget what you are to me,” he says. His blue eyes are on fire and on mine.
“What am I?” I ask and watch in fascination as his eyes darken. His jaw tightens. His grip on my ass digs in just enough to sting.
It’s fucking delicious.
“You’re everything.” He kisses me, his lips much gentler than the rest of him. “You are the beginning and the end of me, Savannah. I don’t work without you.”
“You’re my everything too,” I reply.

It was pretty good...

Would you believe that I'm reading and listening to two books where the heroine has suffered some kind of sexual abuse? I do not do this on purpose. It's probably my own fault for skimming blurbs. I just prefer going into the story a little blind. They're both OK and of course, I have a lot of sympathy for these poor women, but, it can be a little bit depressing dealing with two women who are suffering. It also had me confused as to how they were dealing and what stage they were at with their recovery.

I have been waiting patiently to get to Easy Nights in the Boudreaux series. To be honest, Savannah was cool, but for me, it was really all about Ben. Boy, Ben was really worth the wait (lying back and fanning myself just thinking about him). He was gorgeous, sweet and thoughtful BEFORE he drops his pants. Now, after finding out he's packing a surprise (of the jewellery variety) HUBBA HUBBA!

The story was easy to listen to and the narrators do a great job with these characters. I enjoyed the story but felt that the plot twist was silly. It has me completely bamboozled when characters have things done to them and they don't report it to the police.

I'm glad that I got to meet the Boudreaux family. Unfortunately, when the ghosts and supernatural shenanigans starting happening, it sort of went downhill for me. I love my paranormal romances...just not in my contemporary romance story.

As I try to find the words to do this review justice, I'm trying not to break down in tears and become a blubbering mess right now. It's no secret that I'm absolutely in LOVE with this author, this series, and these INCREDIBLE characters. The Boudreaux Series is easily one of the best contemporary romance series out there and that's because Kristen Proby puts her heart and soul into each word she writes. She has created this family that was so incredibly easy to fall in love with, that somewhere down the line, they became like a family to me. After finishing each book in this series, I felt like I was saying goodbye to a close friend or family member, and now with the release of EASY NIGHTS, which also marks the end of this beautiful series, my heart aches and my soul is feels torn. I have many conflicting feelings. I'm sad, and yet I'm content. I'm ecstatic for Ben and Savannah's long-awaited happily ever after, but I'm heartbroken to see them all go. It has been a FANTASTIC run and Ms. Proby has done these characters justice ten-fold. I wanted to savor this story, but at the same time, I wanted to devour it whole because there is not anyone who deserves an EPIC HEA quite like Ben and Van.

"I always thought that just having you in my life was enough. As long as you were happy and healthy, it was enough to be on the outside looking in, but it's just not good enough anymore."

Ok, so I've loved Ben from the very start, and for him to finally get the girl...well, it's just something else. It's magical. It's beautiful. I'm overwhelmed with LOVE for these two characters. This story can be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend reading this entire series. Then and only then will you be able to truly appreciate the love that Ben and Van has found together. I want to gather Ben and Savannah in my arms and never let them go. They've become quite precious in this series and for them to have everything they want...just makes finishing this book that much sweeter.

"His love roars louder than her demons."

The above line sums up their story perfectly. It makes the wait so worth it. Ben has slayed all of Van's demons and in return, Ben gets the love of his life. You guys, I could gush and gush about EASY NIGHTS until the cows come home, but I will stop boring you so you can get to reading. Go in with an open heart and tissues...lots and lots of tissues. This romance will bring more light in your life and in your heart. It will lift you up and bring you so much joy and delight. The minute I finished, I wanted to read the entire series over again. I'm not ready to let go of these characters, and you won't be either. I highly recommend ANYTHING by this author, but I think her best work is in the Boudreaux Series, for sure! EASY NIGHTS is a MUST READ ROMANCE that will steal your heart. There will be no going back my friends..not at all.

This book actually earns 5 stars. I have been waiting for the last book of this series. Savannah story deserves to be the best. And Ben.... i am drooling over him. This man is so sweet, strong and loyal. He is the sweetest alpha male and throw in the krav maga into the mix, i am sold.

Now why the 4 stars is the heroine, Savannah. She is suppose to be survivor. The strong woman and she knows krav maga. But then when the real danger really pulling her in, she acts like a damsel in distress. Its really annoy me. I wish i want to slap Ben to wake up.and break up with her.

It is still enjoyable reading for weekend.

4 "Full Circle" Stars!

Well, this story wasn't quite what I was expecting it to be, but it was still good. I thought there would be a lot of angsty push and pull between Savannah and Ben. It wasn't that. However, the Boudreaux gang was all there. Being the close family they are. All the reasons I love KP books to much.

I was so very happy for Savannah and Ben. Their story had been a long time coming. It was a great conclusion to the series. The epilogue was the sweetest thing. Happy reading!

“I always thought that just having you in my life was enough. As long as you were happy and healthy, it was enough to be on the outside looking in, but it’s just not good enough anymore.”

Savannah Boudreaux is not the same person she was two years ago. She survived her husband’s brutal attack when he tried to kill her, she divorced him and she’s been slowly healing herself and getting stronger, getting her sense of self back after so many years of physical and mental abuse. And she’s even felt desire for the first time in many years, something she thought would never happen again. But the man she’s attracted to is Ben, who’s been part of their family forever, Ben who Savannah was in love with when she was fifteen, and Ben who’s friendship means so much to her that she can’t afford to lose it.

Benjamin Preston has been friends with the Boudreaux brothers since childhood, he’s been there for every Boudreaux joy and tragedy and he’s wanted Savannah for as long as he can remember. But in high school she was too young for him and then college happened and their lives went different ways, and the day he found out she was going to marry her college sweetheart was the worst day of his life, until he found her bleeding and almost broken by her husband’s hands. But it’s been two years since then and Ben can’t pretend anymore that he only wants to be her friend, he’s determined to finally make his move and make Savannah his.

“You are the beginning and the end of me, Savannah. I don’t work without you.”

Finally we have Savannah and Ben’s story and it was just as sweet as I’ve come to expect from this author and with none of the angst I was dreading. I liked both Savannah and Ben, especially Ben with all his sexy tattoos and it was great to finally see them get their HEA.

Their romance was easy and uncomplicated, just like you’d expect from two people who has known each other almost all their lives, who has always had chemistry between them but the timing was never right before, they weren’t ready for the love that bloomed between them now.

It’s always so sad to have a beloved series come to an end and I’ve loved this sweet and romantic series. A must read for those who like their romance to be very sweet and romantic with no unnecessary angst. Highly recommended.

I dedicate this review to my friend Cyndi. She asked me some questions about this book, and TBH I would read anything for my beautiful friend Cyndi! I wish I wrote a 5-star review for her, and I hope to do it in the future! ;-)

I've been waiting for these two characters' epic love story since this series was first introduced with Easy Love a while back, and EASY LOVE by Kristen Proby didn't disappoint.
I've longed to find out how Ben and Savannah end up-I knew it wasn't going to be easy, but I was hoping for a happy ending for these two. We all knew it would happen eventually but Proby sure made us wait.
I breezed through this despite some of the hard times our mains had during the read, but I'm happy with the turn out from these two. I was left with a few questions, and I always love hearing about the rest of the Boudreaux family, but all in all I really enjoyed where Proby took the tale.
I wonder if the series is done? I'm guessing based on the epilogue that it may be!

5 Easy Nights Stars

I have been waiting so patiently for Van’s book. It did not disappoint. I did find somethings to be predictable but all in a good way.

Ben is just it for her and she for him. So this book just makes you have all the warm fuzzies and isn’t that how we want a book to make us feel?

I am sad to see the series bed but so happy everyone got there HEA because this family is pretty fabulous.

Zachary Webber and his accent made the last 2 books soooooo enjoyable I can’t even tell you! <3

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

Oh man I don’t even know where to start. I am
doing a sum up of the whole series than review of this book..

I am in January blues shall I say. So you know what I did? I started to read a Kristen Proby book just wanted a pure escapism and I just love her books for that, not realising how addicting her characters are (well I knew this) but once I started I couldn’t stop so I brought the whole lot and I’ve read 6 books within 10 days or so.. one after the next I’ve lived, felt and loved every one of this family.

Gah ok well here goes. This is a series of Men that protect what’s theirs, they love fiercely and they have fun doing that. The girls are chatty, love shoes and all girly things but also love lots of sexy times too.. but ultimately this series bottom line is about family. I have cuddled up to my kindle with them all but I’d say my favourites were Declan and Callies story (Easy Melody #3) Beau and Mallory (Easy Magic #5) I don’t know that story just spoke to my heart. And lastly this one Ben and Savannah’s story (Easy nights #6)...

There is nothing else to say but if you haven’t read it then grab them with both your hands and cuddle up to this family that will just melt your heart in the best way possible.

That is all

***3,25 "His love roars louder than her demons!!!" stars***

To be totally honest with you, i haven't read the previous five books of the series, but it wasn't so hard to follow through the story... It was only confusing all these names that i couldn't remember actually!!! Bahaha...
Well, it was a nice story, even though the 60% first of it seemed so and so for me... But then, it was very interesting how the things were turning up!!!! I liked it!!!

"You are the best part of my life..."

Well, Savannah Boudreaux was in love with Ben since she remembered herself, but their paths took different turns in some point and she got married with someone else and she witnessed abuse in every form and meaning...
At the present, Sav is living by herself for two years now and she is trying to earn back her former self after the divorce...
And now, she is in good place and Ben is always by her side...

"He wasn't the one for you yet... People fit differently in our lives at different times. You weren't meant to be with him until now, because you weren't the person you are until now."

Ben was always in love with Savannah and since he was very good friends with her brothers he stay aside and he didn't follow his heart, bro code and all!!!
But now, Savannah is back and he can't stay away from her anymore...

“I always thought that just having you in my life was enough. As long as you were happy and healthy, it was enough to be on the outside looking in, but it’s just not good enough anymore.”

So, what will happen with those two???
Had the danger vanished from their lives or life will prepare for them an unexpected surprise???
Will their love be so strong to survive the obstacles that someone is putting in their way???

"I feel betrayed... You didn't let me to save you."
"Ben... You already saved me. It was time I saved myself."

Well, i liked Sav and i liked how strong she became after all the abuse that she got through...
I liked Ben very much and the security that was running from every pore of him...
But I'm not very sure that i liked them very much together, especially in the beginning!!!I think that they were lacking chemistry and it's strange because at the end, i finally liked them together!!! Bahaha... I'm totally crazy!!!

"Don't you ever fucking forget what you are to me..."
"What am I?"
"You're everything. You are the beginning and the end of me, Savannah. I don't work without you."

For the end, i have to say that the Boudreaux bunch seemed very interesting and i might read and the previous books in the series as well!!!
*I want to thank the author for providing me a free copy of the book!*

4 swoony stars

Ever since I read the first book in this series, Easy Love, I have been waiting for this book. When Ben Porter, best friend of the Boudreaux boys, was there for their sister, Savannah, at her lowest point, the connection between them was clear. It’s been a long and arduous journey for Savannah, but their time has finally come, and after six books of longing glances and building chemistry, and the rest of her siblings getting their HEAs, I was so excited to finally get my hands on Ben and Savannah’s story.

I cross to her and kiss her forehead, not touching her anywhere else.
She smells like sunshine and strawberries.
She smells like she used to before her life went sideways.
Fuck me, I want her.

Savannah and Ben have known each other since they were children. He is best friends with her three brothers, and has always been a part of the family. There was an attraction there when they were younger but their three-year age gap prohibited him for making a move when they were teenagers and it never really happened for them. Savannah then went on to marry her college sweetheart who controlled and tormented her in unimaginable ways for the six years they were married, leaving her a shattered shell of the woman she used to be. It’s now two years later, and Van has clawed her way out of the hole he left her in, finding herself again and taking back control of her life. Ben has continued to be a part of her life, supporting her and being a true friend. He has been in love with Van for as long as he can remember, and he has finally reached the breaking point where he can’t hide his feelings for her anymore

“I always thought that just having you in my life was enough. As long as you were happy and healthy, it was enough to be on the outside looking in, but it’s just not good enough anymore.”

“This is what I want,” he whispers. “
You are what I want, Savannah.”

Van’s feelings for Ben never disappeared, and though she fears the implications that their hooking up will have on their families if it doesn’t work out, she can’t deny how she feels about him. And my heart was so full as the anticipation builds for the big moment!

I love him. I’ve always loved him. But this is Ben.

This is a fast-moving story. There has been so much build up for these two, and I’m so glad Kristen Proby didn’t keep us waiting for the good stuff. Hearts are opened and feelings are declared pretty early on, and it’s a total swoonfest! Ben is absolutely incredible as he eases Van into everything that he wants to experience with her. He already knows that he wants it all, but he also knows that he needs to tread carefully with her, and he absolutely does that. Being gentle, caring, protective and understanding, while also letting her know in no uncertain terms how he feels and what he wants from her.

“You’re amazing, Savannah.” He presses his lips ever so gently to the soft skin below my ear … “I love you so much my body aches with it.”

But it’s not all sweet words and baby steps. Ben and Van are great friends, and there’s a wonderful sense of fun in their relationship, and I love that they are able to maintain that. I love that we get to see so much of them together as a couple, and of course there’s sexy time which is hot, intense, and super passionate. And then there’s this…

“Um, Ben?”
“Yes, Angel.”
“Are you pierced?”
His lips tip up into a smile. “I am.”

Van really impressed me. After all that she has endured, nobody would blame her for curling up into a ball and avoiding men for the rest of her life. But she knows Ben, she trusts him, and I so admired her strength and determination in rebuilding her life – and that includes finally exploring her feelings for the man she’s loved her whole life, truly allowing him in and opening herself up to everything they can be together.

“What I had before was dark and evil and wrong. It wasn’t love. It was never love.
“This, right here, is love.”

Ben and Van’s relationship is sweet and sexy with a whole lot of heart. They are open and honest with each other, and there’s very little angst and drama as they find their way forward together and throw themselves all in. And I loved it! Their story is a journey – not only of their relationship, but of Van continuing to reclaim her life, and I love how both of those aspects of the story are woven together. But as much as they love each other and as good for each other as they are, there are still things they have to deal with. There’s a bit of a mystery/drama aspect to the story which adds a bit of intensity, but it’s resolved well and doesn’t overwhelm the absolutely beautiful love story.

“I don’t want to fuck this up, Savannah. We worked too hard to get here.”
“We’re not going to fuck it up.” I tuck my face in his neck and breathe him in. “I heard a saying once.
His love roars louder than her demons. I can’t explain this any better than that.”

As with the other books in the series, Van’s brothers and sisters and their significant others are all a part of the action, and I loved catching up with them. I loved seeing where each of the couples are at, but I also loved seeing the girls together, and the boys together – now with the added dynamic of Ben being the man with their sister, not just their lifelong friend, and I loved seeing the love and protectiveness they have for their beloved sister, and the support for them as a couple. This is a great bunch of characters, and they are so much fun together.

I’ve loved this series. Each book is fun, sweet and sexy with great characters, swoony romance and low drama, and I love knowing that I’m going to get exactly that when I pick up one of Kristen Proby’s books. Ben and Van’s story finishes beautifully, and as the end of the series, there’s also a really gorgeous epilogue which completes the story of the Boudreaux clan.

“You’re everything.” He kisses me, his lips much gentler than the rest of him. “You are the beginning and the end of me, Savannah. I don’t work without you.”

I loved this one. 4 stars.

After the disappointment of Lenas book- I'll be honest i wasn't really looking as forward to this book as much as I usually look forward to a KP release.

And it blew my mind!!!!!!!

I had perhaps considered after 5 books and a few novellas that maybe this series had lost it's momentum- but any preconceived thoughts I had were blown out of the water.

This book was everything!!!!!!!

There was love, sweet romance, danger, a real family vibe throughout, giggles and tears!

And that epilogue had me blubbing like a baby!!!!

I was thinking Savannah was going to be perhaps a tad bit of a martyr- but wow she was amazing......as for Ben- HOT!!!

A great ending to this amazing series!

BEN!!!! yes shouting caps.. I am starting my review off with shouty caps…. pause… I think this book is best read as part of the series due to the build up here.. the build up that has resulted in BEN shouty caps!

Easy Nights gives the read the story of Savannah Boudreaux and Benjamin “Ben” Preston. Ben has been around the Boudreaux since childhood as he is best friend with Van’s brothers… yes here lies the dilemma… Ben has sat on the sidelines wanting Savannah for as long as he can remember.

The opening of this book pulled me in hard…… it was such a great foundation… then chapter 1 well chapter 1 sets the stage for a Savannah ready to move forward which is no needed considering what she dealt with in the past (nope not telling if you read the prior books in the series you know, if you haven’t go 1-click Easy Love and fall love with the Boudreaux family)

Ms Proby does an outstanding job at allowing the reader to feel why Ben and Van didn’t work before and more importantly why now, now is the right time for them.

It was so fun to have Savannah’s siblings see what was right in front of her; I think everyone being on board helped her comfort level. Speaking of level, the heat level when these two finally connect was off the charts and laced with deep emotions. It was beautiful to see Van loved the way she deserved

The voice at the end of this book was the perfect tie in for much of what ran through the series!

I am sad this is the last book in the series as I adored this family and yes selfishly hoped to see a bit more happy for Ben!

4.5 LOVED IT STARS!
Review by Lisa Kane

As much as I loved all the books in the Boudreaux series, it’s Van and Ben’s story that had me salivating with anticipation! Ben may be Van’s best friend, but he’s been in love with her for years. When she married another, it just about broke his heart and when he found out her husband Lance had been abusing her for years, he just about killed him. (for reals)

It’s two years later and Van is finally feeling good about herself. She has been taking a self-defense course at Ben’s studio, is working her butt off and the house she bought for herself is fully renovated. Life is good again.

Two years. It’s been two years since the day I thought I was going to die, but instead I was set free.

But she can’t deny that sexual feelings, feelings that have been dormant for years are being awakened inside her. And Ben is the object of those feelings. She knows he thinks of her as a friend only, she has so much baggage.

Ben’s feelings for Van are only getting stronger. But the Boudreaux clan are his family. Since it’s only been he and his mom, he can’t risk losing the family he loves and respects. If he acted on the feelings he has for Van and things didn’t work out-it would be awkward and messy and would screw up the dynamic. Even if her family is encouraging him to go for it-he can’t take that chance.

“When we were both adults, you got married.” I clear my throat, not willing to tell her how much that destroyed me. How hearing those words from Eli brought me to my knees, and the thought of another man having his hands on her made me want to punch the fuck of out someone.

The best intentions are no match for raging hormones and the chemistry is off the charts between these two.

“Here’s the thing, Van. I can’t do this. I can’t spend the rest of my life in the friend zone with you.”

I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough for this story. It’s steamy (hells yeah!) it’s suspenseful (lots of mysteries going on here) and it has all the Boudreaux characters that are like family to me. Hands down this one is my favorite of the series! It was worth the wait!

Van and Ben.

VAN AND BEN.

I can't lie, this is the book I have been waiting for since the first in the series. I have enjoyed, and happily read, all of them up to this one, but I can't lie...I have been dying for this one.

It didn't disappoint.

And, I get it. From a character development standpoint, you had to have some distance from the abusive ex-husband you meet in earlier books (who is her husband when you meet him), who abuses her so badly she is bruised and severely injured. Ben is her protector, and her friend, and the person she can turn to. So, the evolution of the relationship is natural and authentic. And, it is amazing, and beautiful.

Ben and Van have the romance that we all deserve, to be with the person who loves you the most in the world, who wants the best for you, and has been there for you time and again.

And, that he is amazing looking with a perfect body, well, that helps a bit.

Kristen Proby is a favorite of mine, and as far as I know, I have read everything she has written. And, there is a reason for this...everything she writes is really good, I enjoy it, and I am left with the feeling of having read a wonderful story when I finish.

Ms. Proby's writing is strong, with characters who seem like people and are consistent from book to book, which makes reading the series stories fun, as the characters are still the ones you met in earlier books.

This was both a wonderful story and a perfect ending to a series I am going to miss.

I recommend this book.

5 Worth The Wait Stars!!

“The man’s lips should come with a warning label. May cause light-headedness and loss of control.”

“You’re the strongest person I know, Savannah, and it’s a privilege to be with you.”

“His love roars louder than her demons.”

“You’re everything.” “You are the beginning and end of me, Savannah. I don’t work without you.”

Beautiful. Swoon-worthy. Magical. Breathtaking. Those are just a few words to describe the latest installment of The Boudreaux Series. If you’ve been following this series for a while, then you have probably been waiting with baited breath for Ben & Savannah’s story. I for one, have been waiting on pins and needles for it and am here to tell you that their story has been worth the wait.

Easy Nights is incredibly well written and utterly captivating. It is a story of hope and strength. A story of overcoming the unthinkable and coming out of it, a whole and new person. This is a story of second chances and the beauty of true love.

Savannah’s story is heartbreaking and yet incredibly beautiful at the same time. Her story tugged at my heart and begged for me to read it. She survived the unthinkable and worked hard to become her own woman and let go of the past. If anyone ever deserved a happy ending, it was Savannah. She deserved to see what real love looked and felt like and Ben was just the man for the task….. Ben is the most amazing guy. He is head over heels for Savannah and will do anything to make her happy. He’s had feelings for her for many years, but for one reason or another, he was never able to act on those feelings. That is all about to change. And let me tell you, when Ben loves, Ben loves hard. Ben is strong, knows what he wants and is utterly swoon-worthy. He is just the man to pull Savannah out of the darkness and show her how amazing real love can be…..

Easy Nights had me hooked from the first page and I couldn’t put it down. I was lost to Savannah and Ben. Their story beautiful, and at times heartbreaking. Savannah’s story is not an easy one and does deal with some tough subject matter, but I loved the way Kristen Proby handled it. She handled it with with the upmost care and made Savannah so real and easy to connect with.

Easy Nights is an amazing addition to this series and gave me soooo many feels. I loved every moment of this story from beginning to end and all the twists and turns in between. I honestly can’t say enough about this story. It was so worth the wait and I just loved it!

Easy Nights is a beautiful story about courage, family and love.

Ben has been friends with the Boudreaux family since forever, and despite he loves them all like family, he can’t seem to feel the same way about Savannah. He’s loved her from afar since they were very young and his first and second worst days of his life were the day she got married and wheny she called for help after her abusive bastard husband almost killed her.

Two years have passed since Savannah was free from her worst nightmare and she finally feels fully recovered, not only physically but also emotionally, to move on with her life, and the only person she feels 100% good and safe is Ben, her first crush and probably the only man she has truly loved all her life, but she’s afraid to risk her family/friends dynamics because, what if she was broken forever and couldn’t have a healthy relationship with Ben and then everything would be ruined.

But now it’s the time. The right time. The perfect time. And it is good Ben and Savannah finally see it and follow their hearts, leading to the most beautiful and heart warming of the HEA.

I loved the romanticism in their story, it wasn’t the corny kind, it was the truest love kind, the respectful kind. I loved how strong Savannah was and how much Ben respected her independency but also protected her with all his love. I loved how sweet and loving and kind was Ben with Savannah. They were perfect together.

There was drama in this book, which I loved so much. There was tension that had me on edge and reading until 3am until I read the last word of it and then I felt a bittersweet happiness because this is the last book of the series and I really want more of this amazing family. I still need to read the first six books of the series, so it’s not completely over for me, but I’m still sad :( But I’m also happy because the very last chapter was THE BEST!! A real true happily ever after.
