It's Everything you need to know in one place. Had the books for previous trips. Will be invaluable guide for next year's trip. A comprehensive guide filled with information on attractions, lodging, food, special events, and all the topics you would expect to find, this book also includes a lot of helpful info on traveling with disabilities, with children, with pets, and for those with special dietary need. There are many phone numbers included such as the Best Friends Kennel location, direction, and telephone number.
Efficiently presented and organized, this is probably the best tourist guide for Disneyworld that I have read. Usually I loyally stick with the DK Eyewitness travel guides, but I picked up this one in my efforts to try and make sense of the amount of information that is available for this destination. This will be our first trip and I sense that this is just not the kind of destination you can show up at without knowing anything. The colour scheme and layout was helpful, and it was easy to get what I needed. I would have liked to see more detailed suggestions/opinions on dining at the park, that is my only complaint.
I like the Unofficial Guide better overall. The "tips" in the Official Guide feel a bit light. If you actually followed the one day plan in the Official Guide, you'd be spending a long time on line.
I do like the pictures in the official guide though. And it is a great way to get the lay of the lands without spending a lot of time online and with a book that is light to carry.
Disclaimer: I did not read every single word but I feel like I read enough to say I finished this great guide. If you need to know anything about WDW this is THE book to get. Maps, hints, descriptions— it’s all there!
I love these guides. Found a couple inconsistencies when I was in WDW last week however. Also, I wish the food guides were listed under the park sections when applicable instead of in a completely different section.
This book was our Disney bible for planning our trip. It helped immensely with deciding which rides to do with our child, which restaurants to pick & tons of great tips on how to plan out our day at each park. I would recommend this book to anyone planning a Disney Trip.
Picked up the 2018 version and once again, it convinced me that it's time to plan my next trip. Love all the photos. It pretty much covers everything you need to know to plan a trip.
