When Covid strikes and you fall in love with mixology, vowing to make every cocktail in your bar books, you won’t complain about having to stretch your goal a little longer when Ladies Who Drink ends up in your hands. The drinks are not fancy new concoctions with odd ingredients like cardamom plum syrup so the book will actually get used. If you’re just starting in the craft, the author gives useful tips on barware, stocking up, and infusions. You’ll love the artful illustrations and learn the difference between a Dior and a Princess.

This is a super cute book. Besides containing drink & food suggestions for various theme parties, it also covers (pretty comprehensively) setting up a home bar. All the essential equipment & how to stock it is detailed. Makes me want a bar cart!
It's not a coffee table book (there's no photography) but rather it contains a lot of super cute illustrations in the style of book cover. I think it would be a perfect gift for someone setting up their first apartment.

I saw this book in the bookstore and grabbed it immediately. It has a great selection of basic recipes, most of which have 4 or fewer ingredients. The author includes much-needed information on how to stock a basic bar, types of glasses, bar tools, and everything else you need to know to start serving cocktails. The book is organized by holidays and events, and each includes several cocktail recipes along with food accompaniments. The best part of this book is the author's delightful sketches!! I would highly recommend this book for anyone wanting to get started with cocktails, or those who just want to learn more.
